This is awesome! Plus you could resale them to recoup some money for your new jeans you need1 -
I was able to do 40 minutes on the elliptical machine with no problem. Before just doing 5 minutes would wipe me out. I still feel too heavy on my knees to jog around my neighborhood, but I feel like I want to do it soon After I lose a bit more weight I think I'll try it.9

I bought a super cute shirt off line (from Torrid), in a size 1... I was in a 3 pushing 4.... I bought it in a 1, which should be too small, & I could fit later, got the shirt && it fits now! .
So awesome.9 -

I tried my first spinning class this week. I only lasted 25 minutes of the 45 minute class, but for never trying it I would say that's progress. Hoping to try Zumba soon. I'm definitely going to start taking advantage of the classes at my gym from now on6

We're finally renovating some rooms and I get to put my socks in the new closet. Everything else is way too big! Even my XL tops are loose! Plus, my 3 new pairs of basketball shorts that are Men's Medium (were Men's XL) fall down when I paint! And they're TIED snug!7

@Mandy_1982 I LOVE to spin and been doing it for at least 15 years. It will take a few sessions, but eventually you will get through the entire class and will be able to get into 2nd and 3rd position when your butt is off the seat/you stand.
My NSV - when I was spinning this morning I didn't feel nearly as much of a belly and thigh jiggle like I used to..lol4 -
I went out with a friend and her children (while mine stayed at home Muahahaha!) and she had to run an errand (grocery shopping at Aldi). When I was walking around with her, I had to keep pulling up my shorts. Shorts that I've been wearing for the last 2 years with no problem. This is the first noticeable thing since losing any weight for me.3

Yesterday I went to the Mid-State Fair with my "little" (I volunteer for Big Brithers/Sisters). With my healthy body I was able to go on any ride and keep up with him. And with healthy eating habits I didn't have "fair food" on my mind all day. Indulged a bit, but that's ok. I'm living the life I've always dreamed.10

I jogged a bit the other day while on my walk. I enjoyed it and I think I'll slowly start getting into more. I would really love even ground though, so I'm thinking about going to a school track for that kind of activity.5

I had a huge non-scale victory this week. More than just one, it was a whole day! My husband's boss invited all the employees and their families out to the lake. Normally I would find a million reasons not to go but I didn't. I put on my new swimsuit which I do not feel like an Umpa Lumpa in for the first time in 11 yrs. Victory #1. I actually socialized, not just sitting quietly in the background. Victory #2. I was able to cross my legs!!! Victory #3. There were jet skis. My gut told me to avoid the beach at all costs. My husband and kids were down there so I went. They were having so much fun. I wanted to try but I kept thinking 'I'll be too heavy.' 'The life jacket won't fit'. My husband and his boss wouldn't let up, they wanted me to try. I finally gave in. When no one was looking I tried on the life jacket, it was a large. It fit! There was some boob squishage but it fit. Victory #4. I got on the jet ski and lived to talk about it haha Victory #5. It was a great day!12

I still haven't had surgery yet, and I'm losing weight while playing the waiting game, so I was just able to purchase tops that weren't plus size!!!! And I am finally not classified as "morbidly obese." That category always nagged at me.6

I've started wearing a ring that I bought in Ireland in 2013. It was an awkward size and only fit on my left hand either on my ring finger (occupied by wedding ring) or my thumb. But now it fits on my right hand ring finger perfectly, even a tad loose.5

@mrscarrierobinson, way to go! These are the stories that hit home. We have spent so much time and effort avoiding these situations that when you can embrace them they feel *so* good! I am sure you have many more to come!3 -
I jogged today. Not far, maybe 400 yards. I don't think it will be a regular part of my life with an ACL repair from the mid 1980's and a fused spine but I, 53 year old, 225 lb me jogged. Amazing what getting rid of 120 lbs does for you. 40 more to goal. Seems unreachable some days then I think how far I've come.7

I squeaked by and managed to exceed my mileage goal this month by 1.9 miles! I have a half marathon to run in a couple of weeks, but August will be focused on more cross-training.

We just got back from a 2 week vacation...we walked a ton. It was hot and humid and I made it. I was even the last one standing many of the days. 2 towers and 1 lighthouse climbed on top of it all. Although I ended up breaking my Fitbit...new one should be delivered today!10

I went to Old Navy today to buy some clothes for the kids and myself. I didn't try anything on in the store, because I bought stuff that I would fit into.
Well, when I got home I tried on a pair of the jeans I bought myself. I bought a 16 & and 18. And the 18's FIT. Like I can zip & button them! They are tight and I wouldn't be comfortable wearing them all day...BUT I bet in 10-20 more lbs they will be super comfortable.
So I started at a size 24. I've been wearing 22's when I wear jeans. I have one pair of 20's that I haven't even tried on in years (guess I should go dig those out!) and I'm very close to wearing an 18. This makes me feel SO HAPPY!
I also got several new cute tops. Some I *could* wear now, but they aren't quite as "flowy" as I'd like, so they'll hang out until I'm more confident to wear them.
*jumps around*11
