Ugh. Been off the wagon this week getting carried away with cakes instead of healthy fruit! The more I see my weight creep up the more I want to eat junk food. I'm going to try my hardest to resist temptation and be more organised when it comes to food!0 -

Been going up and down this whole week 157-159. I cut out grains and sugar from my diet 4 weeks ago and what a difference does it make!! Today I cheated and had some crackers, chips and Nutella, but onward I hope to stay committed to clean eating the rest of the time!

Congrats to swheeler and I hope everyone heals up quickly!
I've not been weighing myself weekly because it messes me up, I get too fixated. I put on 57 pounds in my first pregnancy (and I'm only 5'2") so anything less than that would be great. I did have a big baby, and a lot of water swelling, so I know it's not easy to control.
Braved the scales and pleasantly surprised with 12lbs gained at 22 weeks. I know that's more than most of you, but that's really good for me! Expecting it to accelerate but trying not to dwell on it. I lost it all the first time, I can lose it again.0 -

It is a personal journey, and keep in mind we aren't all coming from the same place. I think you are doing awesome! Keep it up

I haven't had much of an appetite the last couple weeks and have been eating below maintenance. I have no idea how I've gained almost 4 llbs back. Normally, I would lose weight at the calorie level I've been eating at. I am retaining water like crazy though. I only tracked my weight after 11 weeks with DD, at which point I was down from my starting weight, but I can't remember if I gained in the beginning and then lost it. I do know that I have no where near the appetite I had with her though.

Is that the only change you've made? Are you eating less calories now that you cut out sugar and grains, or are you still eating the same amount with just different foods? Just curious! I would love for my weight gain to slow down! Problem is I am absolutely STARVING every two hours it seems like.

The doctor said the baby is head down, but there's no action going on yet. (Not that there needs to be. She can stay in as long as she needs to.) I do think she may be starting to drop because I have been absolutely ravenous the last 3 or 4 days (more room in stomach now?). I'm measuring a bit behind, and after feeling around, the doctor thinks I'm having a small baby. Maybe that's why my weight gain has slowed so dramatically? I just hope I'm eating enough to help her bulk up before the big day!
How's everyone else feeling these days?0 -

Thank you! It's weird. In the past when I've miscarried, it just happened pretty quickly (within days of finding out the pregnancy wasn't viable). The only difference is that I am on progesterone this time, so I don't know if it's postponing the inevitable. It is hard living with the unknown for another week though.0

Hi there! Yes those are the main changes I made. I cut those extra things out but added higher fat and more protein at every meal to make up for my calorie cutback. It seems to be going well, I'm not losing anything which is great! I don't want to lose while pregnant, just wanting to slow things down!! Also about a month ago We also purchased a house with 3 acres that we are remodeling and cleaning up the yard so I'm doing a lot more work with the added activity level. I'm sure those things combined have made an effect. My belly measurements are growing right on track and baby is moving like crazy so everything seems to be growing wonderfully. I'll keep updating this weekly. But I must admit, I did have a 3 days "carb spree" this weekend.0 -

Putting on my first whole stone feels scary! I've tried eating better this week but still eating a bit of junk which I need to completely cut out. If I manage to only put on another stone between now and giving birth I'd be really happy but its hard to predict how quickly ill put on weight during the last trimester.0 -

I appreciate it! My doctor said the same thing, but at 3 weeks, 4 days, my HCG was 298 I think already, so it is not likely. My DH still has hope, but having been through this before multiple times, it is hard for me to be optimistic.0 -

Pregnancy weight gain is really so individual. All you have to do is read a couple of other posts to see that we all gain different amounts at different times. I've pretty much just decided to dial in my calories and let whatever happens, happen. You're doing great; don't worry about the future or how far you have left to go just yet!0 -

Thank you I needed a reminder not to get too stressed over it! I just need to get back to putting only healthy foods in me and let nature take its course! X0 -

*I was 172.2 yesterday, but I was so thirsty and drank soo much water, not sure if that's why I'm down again. Or because Wednesday night I had Chinese food and it bumped me up.
I can't wait till our kitchens done and I can finally cook and make my own meals again! I'm sure my sodium intake is crazy now even when I'm aiming for healthier options.1 -
Went in for my ultrasound at 8 weeks, 4 days. Baby has shrunk. I'm out again. Just waiting to miscarry.0
