I am in!!!! DH has been doing Keto for the past year and has lost 100+ pounds. I started out last year on Keto and had to stop for awhile due to medical issues. I went back on last Tuesday and am feeling really good again.

I'm in! I've lost 6.2 pounds for the month of December! So here's hoping I'll manage to do the same or better for the month of January! I'm only going to weigh in at the end of the month though. I've decided to have my kid hide my scale on me until Jan 31st. Weighing in stresses me out! LOL! So here are my stats:

12/31- 146! Only weight I lost this week was my 3 day binge weight from Christmas! But I am 100% ok with that!

Goal- 135, or just be fricken ripped haha. I am super darn excited to start my year in the gym... not with a weight loss goal but a fitness goal. This year I want to build muscle, get in excellent shape and MAINTAIN!!! I'm tired of weightloss goals all the time. I want to live a healthy life!0 -

Keto has helped me keep my cravings in control. Before starting I would buy something, eat some then go back later and eat the rest. Now I can easily say no to something I would previously binge on. I also got used to drinking my coffee black. I tried heavy cream but that was not for me. I used to do a lot of half n half, I never did add sugar. What I found was that the half and half would affect me later with bad food choices. It was easier than I expected to drink my coffee black. I have always preferred salty or savory over sweet. For me it was bagels, white cheddar popcorn and chips. I could eat whole bags of popcorn and chips. Now when I feel hungry, I have the time to make some eggs or something else. Before I would look for something quick and usually carby to eat right away. I haven't felt this good in a long time.2 -

Newbie here. Just started keto 5 days ago though I've been on MFP off and on for about 2 years now. I should mention that I am eating at maintenance as I am breastfeeding and hoping that will be enough deficit without lowering my milk supply. Good luck everyone!

I will try to keep up this challenge. I had gotten down to 250, but after taking the last 2 weeks off and eating and drinking whatever I wanted, I wasn’t surprised by my number this morning. I suspect I’ll lose quite a few pounds quickly to start because of that. My goal will be to lose 12 pounds this month. Not sure if I’ll weigh in every week or just once a month, but I’ll be here reading everyone’s posts trying to keep my motivation up.

I started Keto 5 days ago. The first 2 days were hard fighting the sugar cravings. I will say that after reading and educating myself before stating helped me. I recommend "the complete ketogenic diet for beginners" is AWESOME! Buy keto strips! They help motivate by showing where my body is on the ketosis scale.
