I have posted more humor
Hi
I'm back from walking this Morning, It was chilly to say the least. The temperature this morning was 12 on the porch and 15 on the cable channel. It could be worse the wind that was blowing yesterday is much lighter. The snow yesterday left around a inch here. The traction for walking this morning was fine. The Daily Highs are forecast to be lower than the normal high until at least January 8, 2018
Tomorrow morning is predicted to be a lower temperature than today.

Have a Great SundayAKA New Years Eve

Good morning.
Had a dusting of snow overnight and flurrying now. If the sun will come out it would clear our driveway and sidewalks...haha...here's hoping. The half hour reiki was nice yesterday, relaxing.
Roger, yep, my huge arthritis/fibro flare really set me back, so will work out of it slowly. The PT is starting to help too.
Happy Saturday, everyone.
Hi Vix
I was outside Yesterday with the broom as it was a nice dry light weight snow. After brooming off the cars my brother used a shovel while I used the broom on the Sidewalk and much of the Driveway where the snow was not to deep. The shovel was only needed where the snow off of the cars had built up.
Take Care
Happy New Year Eve

Hey Roger it sure is cold I think it is up to 18 now
Hi Irene
The snow started coning down in a light but steady manner right after I returned home from my walking and was finished around here by 1 or 2 PM. I was somewhat surprised how many of the sidewalks were cleared off when I left the house for my Sunday Walk. The majority of the streets had been brined ahead of the storm, I'm not sure how much that did help due to the temperatures.
I gather that South Jersey had more snow than I had, How was Your area and Trenton ?
I am not thrilled by the Global Warming with these temperatures, I find that hard to believe

Vix-I can only do about 5 minutes on the elliptical. I haven't done it in so long it will take me a while to work up to what I was at 30 min. or more.
Hi Roger and Irene.
Stay warm.
Hi Joanne
IMO light flurries can be worse than a heavier snow. It is still enough to make things slippery at the same time drivers feel safe since it is not a heavy snow so...
If I said I find that getting out walking is easier for me?
Mornings as I head out the door my knees are complaining for a couple of minutes and then that light pain goes away.
I know You will work back up to Your former time.
I do not plan to stay up to see the New Years in, These days I would be so drowsy that why bother.
Have a Good Evening

Happy New Years Eve!
It was 5 degrees outside when I got up this morning and the house was 63 degrees.
Hubby fiddled with the thermostat and went outside to check the vents. One of the screens over the opening had a light covering of snow. Once he brushed that off the heat started working properly again. I am glad it was an easy fix.
Vix-Have fun tonight.
I am staying home and I probably won't be able to stay awake to ring in the new year.
Roger-I snow didn't amount to anything. Boston is cancelling some of the First Night activities due to the cold temperatures.
Have a good day and stay warm.

I also counted my found money for 2017 and had a grand total of $6.82 cents.
Enjoy your day and stay warm.

Good morning!

Nice party last night. We were home and in bed by 1:30.
Jo, I'm still at 5 or 6 minutes on the eliptical. It's going slow. I agree about starting over.
5 degrees here, going up to 21? Frosty. I have a massage scheduled for 10 a.m., so I will have to go out. Brrrrrrrrr.

I have posted more humor again, The last image is really long and deals with Cats

Hi
I'm back from walking this Morning, It was more than chilly to say the least. The temperature this morning was 5 on the porch and 7 on the cable channel. the one things that helped was that the light wind that was blowing yesterday Gone On my return to the house the Cable channel was showing 6 degrees and the Porch was showing 2.5 Degrees. The snow was unchanged from yesterday and the traction for walking this morning was fine. The Daily Highs are forecast to be lower than the normal high until at least January 8, 2018 with lower temperatures forecast for later this week
I am happy that I was wearing thermals under my walking Pants and for the upper half 4 layers, 5 if You count the Reflective safety vest
Would You believe that many of the roads here in town are still snow covered, Packed Snow actually. It has been to cold for it to melt and refreeze or turn to slush so the Footing was good today while walking when I had to cross those streets, I am unsure whether to be happy or unhappy about that. Even the side streets the town brined are the same way it having been to cold to do much.

Nice party last night. We were home and in bed by 1:30.

If I said I was headed off to bed at 9:45...
Then I got woke up sometime after 11Pm when the power went off for a couple of minutes. What woke me up was the beeping from the UPS that is hooked up to some items in the bedroom.
I thought about staying up to see the new year in then decided if I did that I would still be waking up at the same and be very tired all day so nope no midnight for me.
5 degrees is still better than what I saw here and that 2.5 degrees was at 7:45 after the Sun had been hitting the porch for a while, supposedly warming it up since it is glassed in.
I'm a little surprised that You have a Massage scheduled for January 1. A lot of what I walked past that is normally open was either closed or delayed opening.
You might find this interesting.

Hi Joanne
If I said that is one of the drawbacks of the high efficiency furnaces... And is one reason I'm happier with the older style that uses the Chimney. On the High efficiency ones if the fan goes bad no heat, And as I am walking this time of Year I can tell who has them by the Fan noise I hear.
Some places here in NJ cancelled things too. Oh well...
Hmm... I had not got that far, I need to count my found money too as now I am curious
I indeed overate and will be paying for it in the upcoming weeks. I was afraid to go near the scale this morning. I was afraid it might sat something along the line of "One at a Time Please"
Today will be tough, we never got the Late evening snacks in the oven and they are still cluttering the freezer so They will likely be Lunch and or dinner today
Both my Brother and I forgot they were there as we both overate Chinese.
What did I have ? Fried Chicken Wings with French Fries, A small order, 5 big ones, of Bone in Spare Ribs, a pint of Egg Drop Soup, a Spring Roll and a Egg Roll, Tasty but way too much.
The Hor's D Oeuvres in the freezer include Pigs in a Blanket, Potato Puffs and three other types. BTW I used to buy a version of Pigs in Blanket that use a Bagel for the bread and they were delicious, Have You ever tried those ?
It would appear that tomorrow is when I will be able start getting rid of this Darned Holiday Weight.
Have a Good Day

Hi Irene
Was there enough snow to shovel, I got by with the Broom as it was a light not to deep snow here.
I'm not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing that there are two houses close by going for sale at the same time.
Good Luck with the Sale

There is a storm predicted for Thursday, so today I am going out to see if I can chisel some of the ice off the driveway.
Today is my last day off.
The good news is that as of Jan.1st I now have 5 weeks vacation, 9 sick and 3 personal days.
I did another 15 minutes on the elliptical today.
Have a great day and stay warm.

Hi
I'm back from walking this Morning, It felt Chillier than yesterday. The temperature this morning was 12 on the porch and 13 on the cable channel. There was a breeze blowing and The snow on the ground was not greatly changed from yesterday and the traction for walking this morning was fine.

Hi Irene
I just get out and do it despite the cold
I know me, if I procrastinate until it is warmer I know I won't get out and do it. The other reasons are that I need my morning coffee and I get that as my daily treat while I walk and also that as I listen to Audio-books that traffic noise later in the day tends to drown out parts of them.
I did not see the Ball Drop, I did DVR it and shall likely not bother watching it at this late date.
Stay Warm out there, Today felt worse

Hi Vix
My self imposed chore for today is clean the Microwave, The NS melts tend to spray particles onto the top and wall, It finally occurred to me how to avoid that, I sit them on the wrapper in a reused NS Entree Dish and if I sit them upside down with seam sitting down only the wrapper gets spritzed.
I'm guessing Your Oven cleaning is one of the self cleaning types ?Good morning.

Hi Joanne
From what I can see Thursdays snow may or may not miss us here in NJ, It is now Tuesday and they still have no grip on a firm prediction for it. I suspect that they will not make a firm commitment about it until it is already starting to snow here or off of the coast
Not a comfortable temperature reading, I am not happy with the well below normal temperatures as the next heating bill is mine since the last on was my brothers and with the furnace running so much it will be a Doozy
We got out right after the last snow and cleared the sidewalks and driveway before the snow could turn to ice and they are nice and clear
I do not even have anything that would be good to chisel off ice since even the snow shovels are plastic.
Nice, pretty much almost 2 months off between the Sick, Personal and vacation days.
I noticed this today too, That is a better rate than I get from my walking.

Hi Irene
I went back out yesterday to the bank with my pension check and picked up 10 cents on the second outing. I need to count the money picked up last year so I can start over for the new year.
It was not a great day for walking today due to the wind blowing in my face and snow blown into my face after I picked up coffee. I managed to handle it and on the last half of my walk the wind was at my back or side.
Hopefully Your snow total is lower than what see in the weather forecasts.
Have a Nice Day
