Good morning Warriors, Happy Freaking Friday!!!

I am headed to my company party tonight after work. I have already logged my food as well as the two cocktails I will have. I know that it is a no work out day for me so I am tightening up on my calories. If it wasn't logged, it will NOT go in my mouth. I can do this, I WILL DO THIS!!!

Lets set the tone for the weekend my friends. Good food choices, get that body moving and don't forget that H2O!!!!

I love that you make calories for the cocktails at the party! So smart! Enjoy the moment....and the cocktails!

    MORNING CHECK IN

I had a slight binge yesterday and went over calories, but only 100 over maintenance. I stepped on my scales again this am and was up another 1.5. WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK??? 100 calories does not constitute a 1.5 lb gain. I went back and looked at the last week. I am right at a 3000 cal deficit- so I should have lost 0.75 or so, not gain a total of 5 pounds.

Again- what is different???? I am on a new medication so decided to look up side effects and found this
    buhokjgbtesm.png

And my feet look like Fred Flintstone feet...

My next question - is 5 lbs in 5 days enough to be considered rapid weight gain? Do I call today or wait till Friday to have a full week of data and see if it levels off. I know there are several healthcare professionals on this team - chime in!!!

BTW - I am loving the SPOILER button! Why am I just now using it :-)

New meds always make me bloat, I was prednisone for my bronchitis in October and within 4 days on the stupid stuff I was up 4lbs and by the 10th day I had gained 8lbs. You are not gaining fat weight on maintenance calories. Give it time to do what it needs to do then worry about the rest. right now drink tons of fluids to flush and avoid salty foods. You got this woman!!!

    Exactly!

Water is key, increase your water intake to help flush your sodium and help your body drop any water weight.

    GOOD MORNING WARRIORS

I had a pretty good day yesterday. I finished the day with 1333 calories but only 5k steps. As @KelGen02 says - desk job junkie. I just set an alarm on my phone to go off every 30 minutes to remind me to get my butt up!!!

I have pre logged my day and I am at about 1000 calories. I know I will be adding stuff, but this is a good starting point.

    A BIG THANK YOU
I have been in this challenge for some time now. Took a sabbatical and came back...
I feel more love and support NOW than I ever have in the past. This family ROCKS!!! I have sisters that check on me multiple times per day and a dad standing over my shoulder. My brother seems to have gone MIA (ahem, @steplaj) but I am sure he will return soon. It is so nice to know that we are here together for a common goal and are all willing to help each other along the way!!

    XOXO

    Ok sis, I'm back! LOL

    Midday check in:

Everyone is getting on my nerves. (This is a work problem, but the C suite could help if they would cut down the rumor weed instead of feeding it.)

    Calories are good
    Carbs are good
    Water is okay
Walked at lunch so steps are on track

I’m just checking in for an update. I had a great lunch and was on track. Then the 3pm monster attacked and I ate a bagel and peanut butter. Ugh. It’s like I can’t stop myself. So I decided to post here to help keep me accountable and not go back for more. Tonight’s dinner is just going to be grouper and veggies so that will help. Perhaps some exercise will help off set my carb binge.

I hope everyone else is having a good eating day.

So let's fix what we can - let's get that water intake up!!! I want to see at least 100oz today.

I hate that 3pm monster, when he is done with you, he usually travels over here to Massachusetts and spoils our numbers with a 7pm monster attack...

Don't kill yourself over a few extra carbs, just clamp down and stop the bleed moving forward (and definitely no seconds). A good workout would definitely help (it always does)....

Thanks! Meal out last night was great, I knew I was going to be over calories, but I'm ok with that. Meals today were also good, although I have succumbed to having chips and the last mince pie from Christmas for dinner tonight. Back to being a little more sensible tomorrow, but I've two birthday (not mine!) meals this weekend!!!!

    Have a good weekend all!

I almost never drink that much a day. My doctor is happy with 72-80 and I hit that more often than not. I am up to 72 now though, so it's good.

Up a little but I finally got back to my weight training programme last week and it feels grrrrreat (!) even if rather sore after more than two months of being away. Everyone that I've met in past couple of weeks is telling me that I'm looking a lot slimmer than they remember so something is definitely moving in the right direction. The tape measure records loss of another inch since last week. I'm satisfied considering everything.

Posting for a Saturday morning update. I’m so proud of myself. I actually got into the gym this morning after a 3 month break. It was tough but great. At 2 eggs and some sausage as I was feeling the need for protein. No carbs! I have a bday party tonight where only pizza will be served so I’m gonna be smart for lunch. Veggies and protein.

    We got this all!!

    Week 2
    PW 213.8
    CW 218.2

It looks like the medication gain has leveled off. Maybe next week it will trend the other direction again

I will be MIA the remainder of the day

Today is my parents 50th wedding anniversary. I am about to go pick up the cake and the other fixings for a gold anniversary feast.
