They have been having problems with both the website and the app for 2 days now. Every time the tech monkeys try to fix something they break it! Real monkeys would have a statistically higher chance of accidentally fixing something than mfp techies.

As for the reason that I began this journey:My walking was getting worse so if the weight lessens MAYBE,walking &standing will be better. I have been honestly trying since March ,only now am I seeing that scale move more quickly. Successes do keep the motivation high.So,keeping on,keeping on

@cindyk4919 Oh! Date night fun!! Yeah, unless you're over by a couple of thousand calories or only trying to lose half a pound a week, then 1 meal isn't going to kick you too hard. Just drink some water for the extra sodium intake which usually causes a scale fluctuation.

@rekvar12 My trick is carrying around mint gum to eat in between meals and brushing my teeth as soon as possible after I decide that I have had enough for the day. 1)I'm lazy and don't want to go through the routine again 2)EVERYTHING tastes nasty after mint and mouthwash!

Haha true, I use mouthwash at times too. But sometimes, I need to be more lenient with myself - on my worst days I could wait for 20 minutes after mouthwash and eat againThankfully I've not done that in a while.
On a different note, any tips on how to deal with negativity from people on weight? A certain person in my family was quite understanding of my struggle with weight loss when I met her in person, but has been going behind my back telling people I'm fat because I eat too much. Ever since, I have been trying to forget this and move on, but I feel so bad. It's like however much weight I lose, I'd end up hearing stuff like this (I've a broad frame in general).0
