What kind of fun things does everyone have planned for their summer? I'm thinking about a two day kayaking trip in the Shenandoah's in August for my friend's birthday. It's ambitious but sounds like a good time.

My husband and I are taking a trip to Philly and Atlantic City in the first week of August. We have been married for 26 years, but since I already had a son when we started dating we have never taken a vacation without kids so this is exciting!
The rest of the summer I am off without pay because I work in a school so my plan is to get in lots of exercise.

@erikNJ suggestions of must-sees in that area?

I could go on and on about Philadelphia, I love ot so much. Atlantic City is love/hate for me. Love the fun, but I hate gambling.

What are you and your huabands interests? I really could write pages about what to do so maybe that could help me break it down.
I could recommend lot’s of food too, but I don’t want to sabotage your loss - especially cause you will have broken down that wall.

My husband doesnt drink or gamble do to addiction problems. We are doing Atlamtic City to see the sunrise over the ocean (can you tell we are from the midwest?)

Interested in almost everything and have a few of the typical touristy things planned.... rocky steps, liberty bell tour, Poe's house, and Eastern State Penitentiary. We also plan to get 1 Pats and 1 Genos and do a comparison. See... told you touristy.

I will be moderately mindful of eating that week, but mostly just want to enjoy ourselves so food recommendations are great too.

Anything locals love? Anything weird and offbeat? We have done a lot of weirdo kitsch things on vacations like the worlds largest mustard museum, or Al Capones bar.

Hello! I’m very late with my introduction to this group for the month of June... but what else is new (I think I do this every month) lol.

My name is Mikayla and I’ve been a part of this group since last September. I’ve had some success in this group but my personal motivation waxes and wanes. I currently weigh 163.8 lbs and my goal for years now is 135. I’m 22 yo who is also from upstate NY.

Hope you all have great successes this month and in the ones that follow!

Your story is so inspiring! 95 lbs lost 👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Hi, I am Stephanie and I am 29/yo from Toronto Canada.

This will be my 10th month with BBT. Wow! Where did the time go??

I have currently lost around 95 pounds (give and take a pound) to date and about 40 of those pounds has been because of this group. I used to be an active poster and reader but as the new year came and summer began its approach, I have turned into a bit of a wall flower but never-the-less I am here and sticking with it! What more can a gal ask for.?

I am fully enjoying being apart of this community and have high hopes for a little more loss and a great maintenance. Thank you BBT for all your motivation and support and a specially thanks to @HASWLRS for being an awesome moderator, with a flawless approach. If it wasn't for her and every individual person here I probably would not have stuck through the rough patch and would have lost my patience a long time ago.... this group is awesome!!!

This will be my last summer of my daughter playing travel softball (starting college in the fall) so my trips will all be based around weekend softball tournaments. There is a weeklong tournament planned in Gulfport, Mississippi that could become part vacation part softball. A little sad about it being her last summer, but excited about what’s to come too.

    Mini Challenge:
    June 4th (copied from UAC)

Pass day for me. An unfortunate day of events left me relying on fast food. 2 out of 3 of my kiddos had to go to the doctor - confirmed Strep throat. Had more errands to run, so was trying to utilize my time in town to get it all done when someone backed into me. Add on top of that I was borrowing my aunts car (one of ours is in the shop to repair the A/C). Between waiting for police report, tow truck and trying to get a rental all after hours, it was 8:30 and I was exhausted. Had Cane's chicken, which put me over because I had planned on turkey taco meat. Today (the 5th) hasn't started out so hot either with sick kiddos all night. Thankfully the antibiotics have started working their magic!

@goodreadsgal, hi, there. That's a great weigh-in, but unfortunately Run Track Minds is going to benefit from it, not TBBT, seeing as that is the team you were assigned to this time around! Please make your way over to team Run Track Mind's thread; they'll be very happy to hear from you!!

I was quite please with myself yesterday. There was more snacking than planned but I tracked everything and when it came time for dinner, I just measured really carefully to stay under my calorie goal. The difference in the meal I would usually have had and the measured one was significant. But the measured one really did fill me up and it makes me realize the usual portion is just too much and more than I need.

@jrh_this_better_work, that is a great realization...that your normal portion was more than you actually needed! Way to track and measure BEFORE dinner...there is nothing worse than discovering you are over in your calories after you have already eaten and exercised for the day!! Well done!!

Exercise Yes, walking and 40 minutes mowing

Feeling better and better! This evening I put our new push mower together and got a decent chunk of the front lawn mowed... I am hoping to get more done tomorrow. I've been ride-mowing the lawn, but you can't get everything with that alone. Plus, the I got extra steps.

Also, I got two pairs of glasses in the mail today. After almost two years of my glasses being MIA, I can see clearly again! People at work are going to be super surprised to see me in glasses again!

@cmhubbard92, glad you are starting to feel better, which is evident if you were willing to push a lawnmower! Did you ever get that cortisone shot, and if you so, did it make a difference?

I cannot believe it's June already.

156.8 was the number today. I've been trying to break through 156 for an eternity. Dairy Queen is trying to stop me. They released a PB lovers Reese's Blizzard. I NEED IT. Definitely going to have to run that day :D

@eatingfoodles, basically holding steady. Yes, DQ is yummy but very high in calories....an intense run will definitely be needed that day!!!

Congratulations on moving into Onederland recently!! I hope you plan on permanently relocating here!!

@HASWLRS I’m back! I’m so sorry to have been out of the loop for almost a month 🙈 We got back from holiday and then my blackberry finally conked out on me which left me with no option of being on the app and I couldn’t get into my account on my laptop. Nightmare! I’m back up and running in the phone department and wondered if I could jump back in with my team rather than going through joining again to go into another one.

Hope everyone is well! When I finally got logged back in I had 547 notifications to get through - clearly loads of great support for May and I’ve definitely missed you all. Xx

@Coral333, it is very nice to hear from you!! I am glad your absence was circumstance filled and not just a case of giving up!! I'll admit, your sudden disappearance baffled me!! For the month of June you may participate as usual....you may even weigh-in, but it will not be officially recorded. To get back onto the spreadsheet and be an official member of team TBBT again, you will have to re-register for the July Challenge. I will make sure you get reassigned to this team...Ashley is great that way!!
