Thank you! I like food diaries - any diary really, the more the merrier. I keep track in excel, here on mfp AND in the written word as I just like the physicality of it.. I like the focus it brings, I think it makes it easier to loose weight but without being obsessive.
Today a big deal happened. I revised my ultimate goal weight from 130 lbs to 135 lbs. To be honest at 5 9ish I think a good weight for me would be around 140. Maybe 137-142lbs range so if i go down to 135 that should do it, and 130 is really seem too low for an hourglass body shape like me. I like my curves so I would like to keep some right? So hey I'm 5 lbs closer to my UGW!! 19 pounds to go (only 4 pounds to the much awaited 150). I couldn't be happier.1 -

You are really tall compare to little old me I am a pear-shape, so... finding clothes are just so hard as if it fits to top half, I have problem with the lower and vise-versa. Glad to hear that you have decided on your UGW Cheering you on from Down Under0

Yes dear - I'm 4'7" and my originaly LOW end of the range was 135! I'm finding that at 150 I'm pretty darn close to maintenance...maybe 5 more pounds down but that's about it...130 at 5 Ft 9 seems like it'd be SUPER rail thin, which perhaps that's your goal...plus body comp plays a part too...I'm at the point that if I lost much more than 5 more pounds I'd look unpleasant LOL - SEND US A PICTURE! I like seeing y'all0

I am small framed so i need to go low in lbs to look the way i would want to. Having said that anything is better than my 210 starting weight right about now. Maybe when Im a UK size 12 (US 8). What size are you all? I'm currently a UK size 14 and still feel quite fat even though i'm pretty tall!
Pictures.. Hm maybe when im closer to goal as I said im still self conscious about this. Thanks for your advice by the way, upping my water intake did help clear my skin, and also I will concentrate of getting more fiber too! Good idea,0 -
I am from Down Under and right now, my jeans is size 8. I am really short though, 158cm(roughly 5'2). Furthermore, am a pear shaped 🍐😔

I'm NOT pear shaped but I wear a US size 6-8 (SOMETIMES 10) RN depending on the cut and brand...my UGW jeans are a 7/8 - maybe I'll take my "after" picture in them!0

I think the following counts a lot apart from the scale/actual weight:
- whether you exercise or not (last time i was this weight I did exercise and I was smaller at this same weight - I kept some of the clothes and I also kept the records hence I know)
- your clothes size - although that really is height dependent nevertheless telling
- measurements / waist hips etc / and body fat percentage
- body shape /but that changes as I was apple, now I'm hourglass and when I was last slim I was a pear.. so go figure /
- frame - i'm small framed hence i should be more at the lower end of the BMI
- age and/or whether you have had babies
- I also like BMI, waist to hip and waist to height ratio

I am all over the place in sizes. I range in pants from a size 10 to a barely fitting size 16 and can wear tops ranging small to large. My ultimate goal would be to be a solid 8 in pants and a small/medium in tops.0

Hi Tracey I am right there with you on sizes. I can get in most 12 and a few 14s that aren't too big. I would be happy to end up at around 140-147 for my UGW and I guess that would be an 8 in pants. Right now most tops are medium. Considering starting in the 1x or 2x range I am super happy It isn't all about the numbers!

I hear ya ladies on the changeable sizes!
Now I can fit into most UK 14 (US 10) and only some UK 12 (but I think I'm in between the 2 as 14 is a tad bit loose). Also I'm an M on the tops but maybe not after a splurge day I do tend to check measurements and size guides.0 -
It is definitely not about the numbers; coming from an XL/1X in tops and size 20 in pants, I am good with where I currently am for sure, but would just love to be able to go into a store and know if I pick up a size it will fit. I know it may not happen seeing how clothes are designed differently, but a girl can dream.0
