Really low cal and delicious!!!! Artichoke dipping sauce yummy 😋!! I use Greek yogurt instead of mayo due to calories.

Steps July 5: 11,728
Since I dialed back the steps my ankle seems to be slowly improving. I did call the doctor but the office is closed for holidays all week. I’m going to be out of town next week so hopefully by the time I’m back the ankle will be healed on its own
Today we tried a new Indian restaurant in town and it was exquisite. I had a chai masala and a tiny little serving of
Rasmalai for dessert we also brought home about half of our meals. Of course we ate really early so at 9:00 I had half a bag of Chicago mix. Sigh. Got to do my daily goals again - no eating past 8:00!1 -

Ouuu Ouuuu! We are going walking in the woods. YaY!! Yay! I can't wait!! I have to go to the mall first, but then we get to go on a little hike in the woods!! We will be walking through the treacherous Myakka River State Forest, where we are bound to see alligators, snakes, a variety of birds of prey, turtles, and fish. I have lived in this area for 1 year now and I have wanted to go in this forest for a hike. Now my dream finally comes true!! LOL Maybe we will see the Myakka Skunk Ape!! It's said that there were sightings in the Myakka State Forest!! Ouuuu!! Google it!! Have a super fab Saturday my Warrior Teammates!!! Don't forget to drink lots of water, we must stay hydrated!!!2

Wow, treacherous indeed! The idea that I might come across alligators while hiking is wildly outside my reality lol. And I’m 100% ok with that!
It’s been tremendously hot here again so I’ve been catching up on my reading. I am on the selection committee for a children’s book award program and we have to get through about 120 novels between January and August. I got a little behind through the school year so I have to get motoring!

July 6th
The good: 7,554 steps
(Yes this is good because I have an injured ankle and I just couldn’t keep off it to let it heal. I had a very layabout day and it feels better than it has in weeks!)
The bad: I had a hard time staying away from the extra calories today. I grabbed a cookie here, a beer, made some chai tea on the stove with milk and maple syrup... too many extra calories.
The ugly: feeling stressed about the 51 books I have left to read before the 26th of August, I opened a bag of nachos and stuffed my face with another 300 calories late tonight. Then I chugged too much water so at the moment I am filled with disappointment and sloshing nachos.2 -
