@zichab, Oh, no! I am so sorry about your falling. Falls are so not acceptable in our 60s. I speak from painful experience as I am now nearer the end of my 60s. {{ 🤗 HUGS}} .

@neyagoal, I'm also glad that you found our group. Amazing goal of 15 miles plus your regular workouts! So proud of you for working out despite the pain of the beginning of your TOM.

@Americanbabydoll, 5 + miles a day!! Sure makes them miles add up fast.

@VeggieGirlforLife, your workouts are so strong!

@AnnofB, you are rocking the strength workouts. Strength is my least liked exercises.

@Deeder522, I LOL'ed 🤣 when I read about the shock collar idea 🤣. You wrote: "I broke 180 this AM. 179.6 I win!!! lol " Indeed you did win! Here is some virtual 🍰😁.

@knjstolt, busy work day miles! Your actual mileage is lower because of the new job, but you are definitely adding a whole other dimension and strength to your exercise now.

@INFJx3, yay for you staying with your goals and finishing another cycle of C25K! Awesome results so far!

My goal for August is to continue to be active in some way at least 5 days a week while adding in other exercises as tolerated while allowing my knee to heal. This is getting me outside a lot more B) to keep up the yard and garden while I'm melting  . (I'm missing my Leslie workouts 😧)

August 1: 15 minutes Gazelle, 1 hour in the garden
    August 2: 2 hours yard & garden
    August 3: 1 1/2 hour potting plants, 1 hour+ Home Depot

I know from May till now I have gained some weight back fluctuating between 5 and 7 lbs. higher. But I am on the down slide again 196.4 @ today's weigh in. I can't weigh every day not because of work and I have to get all the fluid out of me before weighing i.e. water pills till more weight comes off. Not complaining at all, I am a happy camper. So Sunday's will now be my weigh in day

@texasgardnr Amen to the new type of strength training. I refuse to use the golf cart unless I have a customer with me. and I have to check all the spaces every day.

Thanks a lot! It's great to be part of community full of such inspirational people.. Although, I started this challenge as way to increase my daily steps as I spend around 13 hrs sitting (long commute and office job) reading some amazing achievements of the members here, made my really motivated and truly appreciate my workout with Leslie every single day..

Hi! Only just found this group so I’ve joined today!

So far in August I’ve walked 21miles (with Leslie - she’s fab) and completed Level 1 of the 30 day shred. 😃
I’ve been out for walks as well but I don’t have a tracking thing to count miles / steps etc that so I am not including anything like that.

I’m on school holidays at the moment but my aim is to keep walking at least a mile a day with Leslie when I’m back at work in September. l really struggle to do exercise on work days but that HAS to change!! Hoping if I get in a habit I’ll keep it up 😃🤞

Welcome Meganmoschops! You are off to a great start.

Me too, Mary. I was hoping with time I might get to like it... But, it's one of those necessary evils like the flu shot and paying taxes, I guess.

You're doing just great, Mary. And I bet your yard/garden is lovely. It's been devilishly hot here lately and I admit I'm glad my tomatoes and cucumbers gave up the fight. ;)

Welcome, @meganmoschops! Wonderful exercise choices for August o:) . If you would like to keep track of your walking besides Leslie walks, consider keeping track of the minutes (which quickly ends up being hours over time) that you walk. That is what I do since I don't have a tracker either. I use minutes for most everything except Leslie miles. This helps to encourage me to continue on.

@Americanbabydoll, you are certainly adding up your mileage!

@knjstolt, the Texas heat has been brutal and unrelenting this week, for sure, especially while putting up siding and also the fence! You are awesome refusing the use of the golf cart to make your rounds! I am totally proud of you for doing that whenever possible. Perhaps other employees will take note and someday follow your excellent example!

@neyagoal, look at you: walking, jogging, shredding, ripping, slimming, and finally banishing  .

@AnnofB, you are being so faithful to do your strength exercises! Well done! I read your other post, I am also hoping that someone is in touch with, or is friends with PinkPan1. She has been missed here.

My goal for August is to continue to be active in some way at least 5 days a week while adding in other exercises/ activities as tolerated while allowing my knee to heal. This is getting me outside a lot more B) to keep up the yard and garden while I'm melting  . (I'm missing my Leslie workouts 😧)
