January 1 Day 1
Exercised?: Yes, 30 minutes on the elliptical!
Calories?: Yes, 78 under
Tracked?: Yes7 -
Exercise? Yes! 55 minute chilly walk. 8k steps for day. And core exercises.
Within my calorie goal? Aye! I started the new year by switching to maintenance on MFP (1420 calories before exercise). Because I want to get to the bottom of my maintenance range (about 3.5 pounds away), my plan is to eat at least 1350 calories, but leave a 100 - 300 calorie deficit with exercise. A slower weight loss should help my transition to maintenance.
Tracked everything? Of course!
Happy New Year everyone! Welcome to all the new folks!8 -

I was within my calorie budget, ‘tracked everything including a leftover cookie and I earned lots of activity calories. Pretty boring.

Have a successful day tomorrow, all!7 -
I’m excited to start the year off right. Looking forward to making these healthy choices a habit and a way of life.6

Happy New Year to everyone! Glad to join the challenge. Thanks for opening it up.
Exercised ? Yes - 20 minutes on treadmill
Logged? Yes
Did I go over? Yes...so I assume that is a pass for me.
Because I knew my food was going to be off today and I am excited to start this challenge, I purposely did an hour weight routine after work last night before going out for New Year's Eve.
I faced timed my daughter on the treadmill tonight so atleast I got some brownie points in today.
Here's to a great month of meeting the daily goals!!!!

Calories: Broke even

exercise - yes
budget -yes
track -yes
- No alcohol for the big party. Actually no big party. So no hangover this morning.
Went to the "track" for some hill repeats. Got the first couple of repeats in before the sun came over the mountain. Cold. 19 degrees I think. I was more or less comfortable though.
Interesting to see who was out early starting their New Year with an early morning jaunt.
- Pretty well under budget. Only ate like 200 of my exercise calories. Didn't have my usual soothing beverage that I regularly indulge in after an arduous exercise. That would be a good habit to break.
- Happy New Year and congratulations to all of the Circle Winners.7 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
- 60 minutes Les Mills Combat...
- Outdoor Walk 3 Miles despite ice and snow and falling on first try on the driveway, but gorgeous day - mid 30's
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
- Unbelievably Yes! Still eating leftovers from party last night, will eat better tomorrow
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?
- Yes, but embarrassed, again will do better tomorrow8 -

Good luck everyone! And Happy New Year.
I was in this group awhile ago, and it helped me so much. Then I changed jobs, got stressed, let everything go, got into bad habits, steadily gaining weight every month. Arrrgh!
@RangerRickL thank you for being here, and being such a positive influence. Nice to see @craigo still here, and a few familiar others. I'm grateful to be back and to take another shot at healthy changes.
Yes x3 for me. Hiking w dog, under calories.8 -
Happy New Year!
@suzyqmelbourne please stay safe! What is happening in Australia is truly heartbreaking.
I felt hung over today. Since I’m an early riser, trying to stay up until midnight and one and a half glasses of champagne was all it took. That said, it’s January first and I didn’t want to quit on day 1 of the New Year. Got a scheduled walk/run in for my 10k training, ate pretty well and was below my 1500 kcal limit after a “compensatory” stair climb in my highrise (all 30 floors). Tracked everything including water, since I’m trying to increase both vegetable and water consumption. This year is off to an ok start.6 -
