I also adopted a new kitty who was partially feral from being abandoned so trying to get her acclimated to our home w/my sr cat and my other kitten who lost her sister a month ago
Taking down Christmas decorations which includes 11.5 ft tree upstairs and 7.5 ft tree downstairs 🎄🎄🎄
In addition, hitting gym, barre classes, groceries along w/my regular stuff....
Oh and watching Green Bay Packers play late Sunday afternoon 🏈🏈🏈

Don’t let any one weigh-in dictate what I do.
Choose to do the work.
Choose to show up & do the actions.
Don’t give up when you get your first bit of resistance.
Stick to your habits no matter what. Ignore your ego and avoid complacency.
Keep a connection with others who understand what this journey. Isolation is not helpful
Don’t hide when weight gain happens. Assume it will. Share your truth, and don’t let your mind tell you no one will understand.
Make up your mind that you are and will be successful.
Accept that this is your struggle, and you will not be fixed. I will need to continuously manage my condition.
WOW! This check-in is the first thing I am reading today, and @mrmcgrath has so much to say that is just SO inspiring.
Key points, for me:- Choose to do the work... YES! There are no shortcuts.
- Don’t give up. YES! Sometimes the work is figuring out which actions even work for us, for our body and environment and personality. Do the actions. Watch the results. Adjust as needed. But never give up!
- Keep a connection with others who understand what this journey. Isolation is not helpful. SO MUCH YES! And Slimpossibles is such a great space for sharing the journey!
- Accept that this is your struggle, and you will not be fixed. YES! And I think this may be the secret to maintenance. The future I at one thought I would find was one in which I lost all the weight and then got to eat what everyone else eats (more accurately, what I think they eat), as much as I want, and exercise as littler as I want (again, my *idea* of that, not anything reality-based. But of course I never get to be anybody else. All I can do is make my own choices about managing my own body and life.

NSV for me yesterday! I actually ate under cals by 200 by accident! I am really happy with myself. To get one day complete is something for me but under by a bit? Yay!!! Lol!

Good morning everyone!!! May I please change my weigh in day from Sat to Friday?💕 Friday is more workable for me.
We’re expecting a heavy snowfall this weekend here in WA state, also❄️☃️
I’m still trying to figure out a good plan for consistent weight loss. In the past I’d eat 2 regular meals, exercise and skip supper. That worked well for me with good results so I’m going to start that today. If I’m hungry at night I’ll have a cup of tea☺️☕️ I have 40 lbs to lose so I need and want to hit it hard🙋🏼♀️

YES! It was almost light out today on my way to work, and this is a big deal here up north. The day is already 30mins longer than it was on winter solstice on Dec 22nd. Even today, the sunrise was 9.15AM and sundown at 3.38PM. Skies were clear all day today and I admit to just closing my eyes and pretending I was tanning for a while at the office when the sun shone directly to my face, instead of getting up and closing the blinds so I could see my computer screens. One more month to go until the day is long enough that I could theoretically see the sun both when I go to the office and when I leave it (8 hours).
So, today I had plans to go to the gym and just do a cardio workout on the treadmill. What I did not plan for was a group fitness class taking up all the treadmills exactly when I wanted to use them. The class is only 30 minutes long and only happens twice a week, so this was a really annoying coincidence. I could have just joined the class, but I was there 5mins after it started and it was already full. I ended up spending 10 minutes in line to ask questions about the treadmill situation, and then 15 minutes just trying out other machines I haven’t tested yet. I got my workout in anyway, but it wasn’t even as good as previous workouts this month.
Tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday are rest days from working out, I’ll see some friends tomorrow and then attend a scout meeting/seminar all day on Saturday. Sunday is for groceries, probably gym and then chilling the rest of the day.5 -
