@erinrose2102 Hi Donna! Welcome to the group! It's great to have you here and I'm looking forward to getting to know you! My name is Trina. I've also got 3 kids -- boys, ages 24, 20 and 17. I'm currently living in Alabama, although I'm actually a Yankee from Connecticut! This is a great group!

The weekend was a total slog! The last round of chemo hit pretty hard and I felt run over by a truck. Thanks to this challenge and others, I still managed to drag my butt off the couch and go for a walk. Thank heavens it was sunny, because I could have never motivated myself to stay on the elliptical! The fresh air always makes me feel a bit more perky anyway. Went back to the couch after both walks, and then finished up both evenings with a 2000 step bleary walk around the house. Luckily the chemo effects are waning today and the walk should be a bit better. But on the bright side, this is it for the chemo!!

Thank you, everyone, for the positive feedback! I’ve had a rough week with a stomach flare. Lucky me, I have stomach problems that hurt, but don’t interrupt my appetite, just my willingness to move due to nausea and vertigo and assorted other yucks. But I have been up and about the last few days and that’s feeling good. I went for a walk today. Turns out I was at 3.04 miles when I got home, so I did laps around the kitchen island and a confused cat until I got to 3.1/5K. So, that was kinda fun - for me, not the cat. I did remember to weigh in this morning, but I forgot what it was, so I’ll weigh in tomorrow and report it before getting distracted by shiny things.3

To all of my walkers...please take a moment and check the chart...found a couple of errors and I think I've corrected everything but want to make sure.
Please let me know if anything is invalid. Thanks!

Thanks Jessica. Steps for 1/25 were 5391. I never get many steps on days that Spinning is my main cardio. Gotta work on that.

Well done! Resisting joining my husband in the endless pile of treats he chomps down (without ever getting fat - grrrr) is the hardest thing for me. The other day he was eating a mountain of chocolate and singing about it. Literally singing! Give me strength!2 -

That's just WRONG!!! I think that would automatically assign someone to kitchen clean-up duty! LOL...

Hello! I am looking forward to losing weight and learning how to have a healthy lifestyle instead of this crazy roller coaster I do of yo-yo dieting. I found Sparkpeople a few years ago and that started me on the path of learning what a healthy lifestyle is. I lost 51 pounds and was ONE pound away from my healthy goal weight. I stopped tracking and exercising, and also stopped smoking (I am currently 2.5 years of not smoking!!). Needless to say, I gained it all back plus some. So now I need to start that process again and wanted to try MFP. I also learned that I need to have a sense of community in my weight journey -to help encourage others and receive encouragement - so I will be working on becoming an active member of the group with postings. My family is not exactly "healthy lifestyle" people, so I need the sense of community from outside sources.
I am trying to learn the Samsung health app as well, and want to see how to connect my Samsung S10 Health App to the MFP app. So if anyone has any pointers on either the Samsung health app and the MFP App/Website, I will be greatly appreciative of the help!
I am glad to be part of this group and look forward to getting to know everyone here7 -
@KCJen welcome to the team. Lots of us are losing the same weight again so you are not alone. I'm a Vikings fan and still smarting from the 1970 Superbowl IV loss to KC--but I'm not one to hold grudges of course. I'm agnostic about this weekend1

All joking aside, thank you for the welcome! I should mention that I am also a Star Wars fan as well.

I explained to him that it was taking all my willpower to refrain from eating the chocolate so I didn't have any left to keep from strangling him if he carried on with the song!
In all honesty he was just happy about eating chocolate (aren't we all?) and as a perpetually skinny person he just didn't realise how hard it is to diet. After poking a PMT lion with a sharp stick I think he is now fully educated on the matter! Lol.1 -

Welcome @KCJen! To link your Samsung health app to MFP you go to the MFP apps and devices menu and sync it. You can also link steps through the MFP steps menu. Let me know if you need any further tips as I've got mine linked.1 -
I only fasted twice last week but still came in under 10,000 calories. I also exercised 3x and am upping the length of workouts this week. Sadly, my body is NOT getting the message to my hindbrain, so stuck at 238, which is just about what i expected. sigh. 10,0000 steps yesterday and fasted. Wouldn't it be nice if we lost a lb for every 10,000 steps? i can dream, can't i? lol1
