Weekly checking on goals:
1. I barely made it to 10K a day, as we had storms raging over Europe - again ! - with heavy windgusts, hail and horizontal rainfall which is not inviting to go walking. I'm now 10K behind my yearly goal but I'm sure I will make up for it when the weather turns. The coming week seems to be more of the same stormy weather so we'll just make the best of it.
2. Done! Although my weight still hovers above the 70 threshold. Therefor I'll still come here to log daily, but I think I will go for a weekly check-in as from March, feeling confident I can maintain as from next week.
3. The pushup challenge was halted last week. I did the first day of week 3 and realised I'm still not there. I wanted to restart week 2 but then work got in the way with an unexpected audit that took a lot of my time next to my normal work. Tomorrow, I'll restart week 2. Babysteps, and maybe I should call it the 100 week challenge for 6 push-ups, but at least I'm doing something !
4. No alcohol whatsoever past week, and that suits me fine !
So all in all, not bad certainly considering the miserable weather and the crazyness at work2 -
ME:
30y * 5'9" * BMI: 22 * Weight goal: 63kg (138,89lbs)
FEB GOALS- Traditional "Tour Mineral" = No alcohol this month
It's getting exceedingly difficult but I'm still on track. I have an impromptu citytrip coming up this week though, and I'm not going to abstain then; would be a waste to not enjoy it to the fullest (I'm visiting le french guy). - Since I can't seem to control portions, food needs to be optimum this month: very simple dinners consisting mainly of cottage cheese with fruit, or meat with basic veggies and zero additions. And for the love of everything: cut back on carbs!
I have just discovered my new overlord: glucomannan pasta/rice/noodles! Barely calories (6/100gram) + lots of fiber = a volume eater's dream come true. Are they exactly like the real thing? No. But close enough? Hell yes. - Stop buying dates and nuts. Got in the habit of visiting the weekly market because I so love fresh dates and I deluded myself by saying "But they have lots of fiber and are low glycemic index" -> BS woman, they are still clumps of delicious sugar. No more.

17 Feb: -0,5kg || 67,2kg (148.15lbs)
24 Feb: -0,2 || 67,0kg (147.71lbs) || My weight seems to be stabilising a bit too soon, but I'm still rather happy it's not going up anymore. I did decent on food and portions this week and had a good deficit every day, except in the weekend but even then it wasn't above maintenance. Only sport (running) has been slacking last week, mainly because I don't have the time!

Hips 38.5- No change in Aug
Goal #1: Workout 4 days a week - Yoga Burn/Bike/Walk
Goal #2: Be consistent with push up challenge - Restarting 1/6/20
Goal #3: Stay under on intake min of 5 days a week
Goal #4: Replace nightly glass of wine with herbal tea 3x a week
2/3 - 138.6 - Sick as a dog, I went to urgent care last Thursday and they thought bronchitis... but I don't think so, I've barely been able to eat anything for a week. Spent the wknd in bed. Guess I'm going back tomorrow if I don't get some relief. On the upside - I've never lost so much weight so fast in my life.
2/5 - 140.8 - I think I'm returning to the land of the living. Went back to urgent care 2/3 at midnight, so freakin sick.... I had the flu & an ear infection. This week I'm concentrating on nothing but rest and eating decent foods. Made it back to work this afternoon, here's hoping for a quick afternoon.
2/6 - 142.0 - First day in literally 2 wks I've felt sorta like myself!!! I'm taking it easy the rest of the week, but trying to be mindful of what I eat. My weight has been all over the place, I've hardly been eating much - but I think it needs a few days to stabilize.
2/12 - 144.2 - time to get back to paying attention. We've had a few movie nights (rarity - popcorn, m&ms, all the junk food).....and I made a big batch of chicken Alfredo last night. Snow this morning, but my fiance is off till Friday so it's a good time for me to skip dinner and tighten down a bit. Pretty sure I'm gonna get stuck cleaning stalls this evening, there's 11 of them - so I'm going to count that as my workout today.
2/13 - it's a fight to find my motivation today. Sure, I'll have a couple of those Valentine's cupcakes - pass 'em on over. This day will get better!
2/21 - 143.6 - Eeek, I've done awful checking in this month. Things have just been crazy & I haven't had anytime for myself. I do have this next week all to myself, so it's going to be easy to really slash calories and work on me! I'm fasting today to get my body 'reset'. Happy Friday! Fun to get back on here and see everyone killing it!
2/24 - 142.4 - Busy busy wknd. Did decent on food, stayed at a solid deficit & worked my tail off. Was 141..something all wknd.5 -

I'm finally feeling normal. This flu really kicked me in the butt. Since I didn't do anything last weekend, I plan on meal planning, prepping and getting things organized.
BTW, my now fiance has lost 17 lbs since January! He's no longer in the "Obese" category😉 Very happy for him!

Well well, the 70.0 seems pretty consistent, which means I’m now in maintenance. The hardest part can start- again 😁
The daily logging and accountability in this thread has certainly kept me on track. Now it’s time to test the new habits and I will check in on a weekly basis instead.
Have a nice weekend all !!4 -

Hey all,
Sorry for having been a little absent the last few days/weeks. After the holidays beginning of Feb I was quite confident I had regained my footing with the weight loss mind set. Little did I know that it would take only a storm-filled weekend and hiding indoors to let it all crumble again. And it was only the first of a series here in NL. Well, long story short. I had some weeks with low exercise – carnival/school holidays didn’t help as classes didn’t go through. And a lot of bad eating choices, too much, too high calorie.
So I didn’t dare to step on the scale for a while and having to face the consequences of those choices. In two weeks, I have the first 21 km run waiting for the year. No idea how I’ll make it. But in any case, loosing at least part of the regained weight can only help.
So see you over in the new thread. Here’s to returning to the track!3 -
@Antiopelle Amazing job! I weirdly feel proud of you and also jealous you can manage the weight loss so well! I truly hope your maintenance goes swimmingly.
@jacau I feel you... it's sometimes scary how terrified we are of that number on the scale that we literally avoid seeing it (I'm doing the exact same thing right now). Glad to hear you're back on track though; it's an eternal struggle, don't give up!
@cayenne_007 I have seen you for months stuck on the same 145-146 ish weight and I'm so happy you seem to have broken the plateau!! Could it be the fasting? Great job1 -
ME:
30y * 5'9" * BMI: 22 * Weight goal: 63kg (138,89lbs)
FEB GOALS- Traditional "Tour Mineral" = No alcohol this month
Final result: I slipped up twice and ended the month early at the start of my vacation (28/02) but all in all I'm satisfied with my effort. Going to try and keep it to an acceptable low level next month too I think. - Since I can't seem to control portions, food needs to be optimum this month: very simple dinners consisting mainly of cottage cheese with fruit, or meat with basic veggies and zero additions. And for the love of everything: cut back on carbs!
I did well for the entire month but hopelessly screwed up the last half week, because of the vacation. Didn't do any fasting, le French Guy cooked a lot of meals for me, lots of on-the-go snacks (meaning high carb, high sugar) and of course when in a foreign country I just need to sample everything! - Stop buying dates and nuts. Got in the habit of visiting the weekly market because I so love fresh dates and I deluded myself by saying "But they have lots of fiber and are low glycemic index" -> BS woman, they are still clumps of delicious sugar. No more.
Didn't buy any!

I have no idea what my final weight is: I just arrived back from Copenhagen yesterday and didn't step on a scale yet. Will do so tomorrow but I'm certain my efforts for this month will have been nullified. Definitely scared to see the consequences... It's strange how just eating whatever I want only pleases me for a short time, and then I start to feel bad. I really miss fasting after a while, even though I now need to retrain my body again. I'm currently suffering from cravings and urges that have little to do with actually being hungry and I hate that. It's even worse than craving a specific piece of food (I get that), this is more wanting just about ANYTHING to stuff your face with to feel as full as you possibly can.
That being said: I did have an awesome time over there. Le french guy was just as thoughtful, sweet, romantic, and cute as he was a month ago. He cooked typical french cuisine and opened the best bottles he brought with him from France (can he be any more French?!) for me, we went out to dance and he acted all boyfriend like, walked around town holding hands, laughed, made love and had a bittersweet goodbye. I absolutely wish to tell you guys everything but a) not the point of this thread and b) the post might get flagged for inappropriate content I'm legit going to try and move to Copenhagen I think; what a wonderfully organised city with super friendly people. I loved the whole vibe of it.
