Had an up and down week. Just glad my weight isn't up. Hope everyone else has a great week!1 -

Plus I walked up and down my steps over 15 times for the exercise. Unfortunately, my watch registered a grand total of exactly one flight of stairs ... WTH 😠. I’m feeling a little blah lately. Staying within calories and getting in my steps/exercise. Water on the other hand has been a struggle.
My three goals today:
1. My daughters bday so I’m making a cake. I will not eat the frosting while making it
2. Her choice of dinner is pizza. I will not eat pizza
3. I cannot not pass up chocolate cake, so I will take only a SMALL slice.
Bonus goal: Drink > 80oz0 -

The not smoking is rough. Honestly I had been taking a puff here and there but the last 2 days I have not had one puff of a cig. Just trying to stay busy and hoping that helps with not only my not smoking but in my loosing the weight since I am normally sitting at a desk running my business online.

Weigh in Day is Monday - @lindamtuck2018 can I change it to Friday.. Weighing in Monday is killing my spirit since I am usually eating out at least once on our busy weekends while APA league is in session.
Goal: 2000 steps- today 8492 steps1 -
First and foremost, HELLO to all the newcomers! We have a great set of members here who are SOOOOOO supportive!
Steps for 9/28: 8,563
Steps for 9/29: 3,713 (I drove 2 hours one way for my daughter's specialist appointment and then we were there for almost 4 hours so walking was not a huge possibility)
I have a lot going on at home again, just when I thought things were getting better so I may actually work out before going to bed because I have a lot of built up emotion that I need to get out...I would rather workout than binge out! However, school started yesterday and I have a ton of assignments already and this is my last week of residency at work so I have to make sure all my credentials and things like that are completed. It is just a lot...but nothing that I can't handle!
Back to work tomorrow so I am sure I will be getting lots of steps in! I am also able to pick up extra shifts starting next week and since I can use the extra cash and I know I can get the steps in I am going to be doing that! Off to put some work in some way, somehow. I may not see ya'll tomorrow night because I am usually pretty swamped after a 13-hour shift but I will definitely be here Thursday!1 -

My 3 goals for the day were 1. walk one of my dogs since the other one is hurting ..Aspen my husky and I walked almost 5 miles today ...2. Was to try Yoga for the 1st time ....I tried but I have hip Dysplasia so it really hurt so I am going to put that on the back burner for now ....3. Meal prep a few things that I didn't get done on Sunday0 -
Steps 09/29: 3,000
I had a Dr appointment and there was a lot of walking. At least for me.
I'm going to aim between 2,000 & 3,000 steps a day. Hopefully, as I get used to walking again, I'll be able to increase my steps over time.
@lindamtuck2018, Question

Going for a walk felt good. I hadn't gotten outside for one in days. It was pretty chilly out, the sun was starting to go down. I think I'll try to keep walking outside sometimes even when it gets cold and just bundle up. As long as there is no snow/ice on the ground. I enjoy walking in the fresh air.
Great job meeting your goals! I love being outside this time of year. The weather is cooler and the trees are so pretty!0 -

It was so nice out yesterday I took my walk in the middle of the day after dropping off my son at preschool. Put my daughter in a stroller and off we went. Pushing her up the final hill of the walk was definitely a workout of its own haha. Today I won't be able to do the same as I'm taking the kids to the pumpkin patch as part of a school trip. Hoping we get lots of walking in.0 -

Just wanted to tell a little about me. I lost a good deal of weight 4 years ago. I was able to keep it stable throughout those years and build some muscle, until last March. Covid closed my gyms and I've been working from home since March. Being a person who is always on the go, it was a very hard reality to take.
I finally bit the bullet and weighed myself for the first time since February (when I was at a healthy weight) and I have gained over 20 lbs. 😟😞
Thank you so much for giving me the chance to join this group and find my healthy self again. It's really hard going it alone and I could use the support so much right now, and likewise, give support!
PS: I am hoping that having my weigh in day on Saturday morning will keep me from over indulging on Friday nights (at the end of a stressful work week).1 -

Great job on the walk! That’s a long walk! Back in the spring before my leg got real bad the longest I walked was 6.79 km. I miss my long walks.Megan_smartiepants1970 wrote: »If any of our new members would like to be added to our step challenge ...Please let me know so I can add you ...All you do is walk or workout and give me your steps daily in here ...Thanks

You are doing so well since you started the challenge. I hope you feel back to yourself soon! Since I have been adding ice tea drops to my water I have had no trouble meeting my goal. Maybe try adding flavour drops or some lemon. Good luck with your goals!ScorpioGirl70 wrote: »@lindamtuck2018

Hang in there with the not smoking as you can do it! I will change your weigh in day to Friday. I tend to have more sodium on the weekends so I like Fridays as my weigh in to let it settle.First and foremost, HELLO to all the newcomers! I have not any success with yoga. First it was my weight and now due to the knee replacement there are so many ways I cannot position my leg. I might try a modified yoga when gyms are fully back to normal which may not happen anytime soon.Kitty2Katz wrote: »Steps 09/29: 3,000

Awesome job on hitting all your goals. Going to a pumpkin patch sounds like fun. I haven’t taken the kids apple or pumpkin picking this year. Now that my granddaughter has so much pain with her foot I think we will have to skip this year.iHUSTLE4MUSCLE wrote: »lindamtuck2018 wrote: »Question

Those covid pounds will come off with the dedication you had before. That is awesome that you maintained your weight for 4 years. I find this group very supportive. I have been with the F2F group since February 2019 and captain of the Downsizers team since January. The group really helps me get through the ups and downs of this journey. I don’t think without this group I would still be on my journey.1 -

Tuesday’s check in
Calories: under
Exercise: 23 minute walk 1/5
Water: ✅
Steps: 5,858 1/5
DBF: 7
My new recipe yesterday was absolutely delicious! Bonus was that my husband liked it. He is a meat and potatoes guy so it is hard to broaden his horizons. I am making chicken vegetable soup in the crockpot today. This is the first time I have tried it in the crockpot so I have my fingers crossed. Yes I love my crockpot and I use it at least once a week.
I never got my 35 minute walk in yesterday. By the time Norah went home my leg was too painful for a long walk. It’s raining today so I am walking indoors. I have to get my walks and step goal 4 more times this week so I need to get cracking. I despise walking indoors so I may break my walk into two.
Happy Hump Day! Let’s all work hard to meet our goals today!
Goals for week
1. Walk at least 35 minutes 5x/week
2. Stay within calorie goal
3. 7,000 steps 5x/week1 -

Hi all
Sorry I am late.
The last I weighed was on Monday and it was 237.9
I am trying to understand myself more and I am physically and emotionally exhausted with the binges for the past 2 weeks .
It is frustrating Especially when you do well all day and struggle all night .
Hope everyone is doing well and congratulation to all who lost weight this month.
For those Who haven't today is a new day to start.
