Whoah, awesome job team! I'm very proud of you all.
Thank you for all the kind words. I'll be OK. There are dietary things I can do to ease the symptoms and all in all, I'm just glad there's nothing serious going on.
I'm making Thanksgiving dinner today. The menu is extensive! I'm going all out even though it's just the two of us.
Besides my pumpkin pie turned out darn nice and at under 90 calories per slice, totally guilt free. Might as well feast!7 -

You've got it! Great numbers this week too. Are you keeping the 10k goal?0 -
Thanks for the step numbers step team. I am only missing a couple.
@YinxFed I need 10/7 and 10/10
@jugar just 10/10
@Kali225 10/10
Today has been a dark and gloomy day. It's almost felt like nighttime the whole day with no inkling of sun being seen. Pretty sure it's Delta's fault. Hopefully, it will be better soon.
Today has been a sit on my butt looking at the computer kind of day. Well, that and cooking breakfast, preparing dinner in the crockpot and making cupcakes. My family will be over for dinner tonight.
Not much else to report. I had 6/7 days hitting my 9k step goal, but got no where near it yesterday. Probably today too, but I'm going to go gets some steps right now.
@eggfreak Sylvia, I LOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEE your new photo! The gray is looking awesome!
Make it a good one friends!5 -

You're all in the presence of the turkey cooking master.
Dinner was ambitious but fun to make. The menu was:
Turkey
Mashed potatoes w/ garlic and butter
Grilled asparagus
Mashed yams and marshmallows
Biscuits
This is the first time I tried to coordinate so many different dishes in one dinner, and make everything from scratch. It was hectic but fun. I have enough leftover turkey for lunches for a few weeks too.
It was an OMAD day that finished out at 1466 calories. At least, on paper. I have no idea how much extra I consumed due to my habit of sticking crispy bits in my mouth while carving the bird.
And I found the wishbone! That's rare. It's often missing.10 -
@Terytha wow that’s a beautiful turkey. 😭😭...mine never looks like this. Just yum 😋2

The secret is butter (or margarine, whichever.)
I take a couple spoons of butter and put them under the skin as far as I can go. Every time I do it, my husband turns green and runs away because my hand moving under the skin upsets him
That keeps the white meat from drying out.
Then I rub a couple more spoons of butter all over the outside so the skin browns and crisps up.
Lessons learned working in a deli back in the day.4 -

I am always in a quandary whether to count walking workouts in addition to steps. It seems to me that the steps = the walking workout. If there are steps + other workouts that do not involve steps, I'm happy to add it up, but the Sansone workouts are like a walk with benefits. What do you all think? Should we add on for Leslie Sansone workouts? Are they more intense than a vigorous walk? I don't do them myself (unless desperate due to terrible weather or something), and since my step tracker counts them as steps, I stick with that. If you do them regularly, chime in on whether they should count more than steps - thanks!2 -

@Terytha @CanadianGiraffe @PlaneMonkey
Happy Thanksgiving! We had a fabulous dinner of salmon, roasted buttercup squash and brussels sprouts, potato, broccoli, and my most awesome pumpkin pie. I don't do the beautiful turkey like you do, Amber, but I used to - this year it was just me and my boys (hubby and son), and we prefer fish. It is so much easier!
Tomorrow I'll recover, really... I was supposed to get on the exercise bike tonight, but didn't make it. I'll do it in the morning!6 -
A good day today both for food and exercise, not so much for weather. It has turned cold and windy, even a possibility of snow by next weekend.
We are traveling tomorrow to my home town about 4 1/2 hours drive to celebrate Thanksgiving with my parents, son and daughter-in-law with our eldest son driving in to join us as well. We are each bringing part of the feast with us but I think what we will be most thankful for is the chance to get together as this year we missed Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day and several birthdays along the the way. Having said that we are usually a larger group at Thanksgiving as my daughter-in-law's side of the family also joins us. But this year they decided with the group restrictions in place and the fact that sadly where they live has had a large increase in COVID numbers in recent weeks they would give it a pass this year.
So Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian compatriots, although it sounds like you may have celebrated already today. I know am thankful for where this journey has brought me this year and for all of you and your support. (And I have decided for one day I am not logging anything!)6 -

Started the week well but later stress got the best of me. Hoping for more consistency this week.8 -
Happy Thanksgiving, Canadian friends! Sorry that Covid is restricting your get togethers It is so sad but @CanadianGiraffe glad you are getting to celebrate with some family, at least!
I have been wondering what Christmas will have in store - we normally go all over the place visiting various family and friends across the UK but I think it will have to be very toned down this year.
Yesterday we had takeaway pizza for dinner, my partner had been craving it and it's something we used to do regularly but haven't done now since July! So I tried hard to fit it into my calories by eating a bit less for breakfast and lunch and making sure I got a good workout at the gym. It was nice to have a guilt-free takeaway, and delicious too!8 -
Hi friends
I'm very sorry for the very late intro. I'm 38, live in the UK and studying for a master's in mental health which appears to be taking over my life. I'm also mum and wife to a very busy household where everyone continuously wants food! I love baking which is a real problem as I can't resist the goodies when the whole house smells heavenly.
I've been overweight/obese my whole adult life and have lost and regained weight many times. This time hopefully it will be for good! That's the plan!9 -
Happy Thanksgiving, Canadian friends! @Terytha your turkey looks delicious! I haven't made one for a few years, but we may stay home this year, so I will remember your butter trick. @CanadianGiraffe I am glad you finally got to spend the holidays with your family.💕
I had a great weekend, balanced with family and household chores. I had to work some (should have worked more). I woke up motivated to workout 💪 and the baby woke up motivated for snuggles. I know I need to enjoy this time, but I really miss my workouts. I hope everyone has a fabulous Monday.5 -
Happy Thanksgiving guys ! Hope you have a great day !
Also good Job Team for winning the week !
So my weekend was great, I got over 10K steps everyday, and logged all my food, Saturday was my high day, so it was good, and I recorded EVERYTHING ( was still within in calories,but I did eat all of my exercise calories that day).. Yesterday I kinda did OMAD thing, although not on purpose.. Football game came on at 1pm and I wanted to have everything done by then, I initially got up at 6am, laid in bed, and listened to a 10 min motivation thing, well it put me right to sleep, so I didn't get up till 9 - so by 10 I was out the door to run my errands, got home at 11... Took the dogs for a long walk, then did my Firm 30 video, then I made the stuff for us to have nachos during the game, well I realized that I never even ate breakfast, so I had Nachos, but measured and weighed everything, they were so good ! Then at half time I made myself a treat, I used a Pepperidge Farm Montauk Cookie put it in the microwave to warm it up, put a 100cal cup of bryers vanilla Ice cream on top, then some reese magic shell... It was super yummy too !
I was going to make veggies for dinner, but never did, I just never got hungry after that, I did have a cup of tea later, so that mighta helped with the appetite too !
Saturday I had every intention of taking the big dog to the park to walk, but I didn't, I just walked them around the neighborhood, but we jogged for about 3/4 of the walk, he has really long legs, and I have short legs, so he behaves alot better when I pick up the pace, so it's a win win, we also ran up and down a steep hill both days, as it helps build his hip muscles cause he has hip dysplasia - Then I took him home, got the other dog and did the same thing, so that was 90 min of dog walking...
Yesterday I took both dogs for a walk at the same time, it wasn't as long just a 30 min walk.
Plus I did firm 30.
Next weekend may not be as successful, I have an IPL facial scheduled for Friday, then Sunday I have a hair appt, both of those take so much time...
I was talking to the hubby this morning and he had to remind me that I have picked up on the strength work, so the scale may not be as friendly as if I didn't, but that I was looking really good, so that was a good pep talk, told him to keep it up ! LOL I do notice my jeans are looser and looser every week, so I gotta keep my eyes on that, not only on the scale...
Anyway, hope you all have a great day ! It's rainy and yucky here, so my work walks won't be happening, so I will just have to be more social with my co-workers (ugh, I am such an introvert)... Anyway, have a good day !

@Gidgitgoescrazy
I'm crying! Reading your dog walks makes me miss having doggies so bad! And I haven't been able to visit my dad to get my dose of his wonderful dog. She must be wondering why I haven't come to take her for crazy long walks too. Husbands with asthma are sometimes a serious drag. I always tell my DH that when he passes on, I'm getting a dog named Bruce. That way I'll still have a Bruce in my life
So have a lovely Monday, whether or not it is a holiday for you. We had a hard frost overnight, but the sun is shining and it is time to get out there.

Took a slower 45 minute walk with the little one on this gloomy day. At least it was. not raining and she loved stomping in puddles. Got me a couple times too. She loves going around looking at everyone's Halloween decorations.
I have a ways to go step wise, I'm only at about 3,000 of my 9,000. Haven't logged food yet, so I'll get on it.
Brrrrrrr....hard frost and possible snow! Wow, its humid and still in the mid to high 60s here. Hang on for winter.
Amber, that turkey looks awesome.4 -
@Gidgitgoescrazy that sounds like such an awesome treat for gameday haha. I LOVE those Montauk cookies - big fan of milk chocolate. I have been trying to avoid the pepperidge farm bagged snacks (cookies & goldfish mostly) because I can really turn the bag into one serving. But maybe I can try your approach.. dress up 1 cookie, call it day.2

This week is off to a fabulous start! All green so far, and not insignificant amounts. You are in the driver's seat and going places
I'm still dealing with too much delicious food in the house, but once the small part of the pumpkin pie that my son did not take with him is gone, we'll be safe again. Got lots of steps in today, more mulching done, and soon will hop on the exercise bike so I can watch an episode! Then a shower. The first shower in our house since we shocked, flushed, and drained our well - it has been slow to fill up and settle. Tonight's the night! It will feel great.
I found out yesterday that my 92 year-old dad (in Massachusetts) fell in the shower on Saturday, and fractured a couple of ribs. Amazing it wasn't worse! But it is hard not being able to drive down to visit while he is resting at home. I'm sure he'll be a bit bored - he is a person who is always bustling about doing things, but I am sure glad it was not too serious. I miss the old geezer, though. Hope I'm as cheerful as he is when I get to be that age
Enjoy the rest of your day - see you all tomorrow! Keep your hands off the cookies and your feet moving - tally ho!6 -
Well guys, I feel like I need to apologize!! I’m apologizing for my absence, for my lack of ambition, for just not being present in the community lately... most of you know about my bad luck since I moved to Georgia and well it hasn’t gotten any better. My Mom passed away last week, we put 2 separate offers in on house and both of them where beat out by cash offers... the good news about all of this is now my mom is in heaven with my grandparents and my Brother and they are all protecting and watching over my kids and I, more good news is I start my new job tomorrow, ANDDDDD we spoke to builders and we are just building a house because the market kinda sucks right now sooo we will make it our own thing.. the lows are super low right now but thankfully for my family and the few positive things that are going on, are what’s keeping me going right now.. so again I apologize for my absence. I’m here everyday reading your post I just don’t have the energy to actually post anything... tomorrow turns a new leaf though and I’m going to get out of my own *kitten* and pick myself up and do the damn thing!!!!
Hey y’all thanks for letting me vent. I feel like lately all I have is bad news to bring to you all so I stay away.. but that’s changing tomorrow!! Thanks for being a great support system!8 -
@jugar I'm happy to report I'll be adding to the green for this week 😁
PW: 244.8 lbs
CW: 243.0 lbs
LTD: 26 lbs
I'll admit I was a bit jealous of everyone's Thanksgiving dinners (we have another month to go here in the states) so I made chicken with stuffing and gravy for dinner. The stuffing had cauliflower, carrots, and lots of other veggies mixed in to make it a healthier and lighter version.
I'm grateful that I woke up to a lot less pain and swelling so I was on my feet most of the day. I made and canned 20 pints of applesauce, sewed up a pillow my puppy chewed a hole in, did some housecleaning, and went to the gym to use the stationary bike and swim in the pool (first time since COVID!)
@SMcFall0215 I'm very sorry for your loss. No need to apologize for being absent, life can be overwhelming at times. I hope your first day at your new job goes smoothly, and good luck on the new home!

@SMcFall0215 I am so sorry for your loss. I’ve been there. I know how hard that can be. No need to apologize. You are here now and good for you. You are strong, powerful, and doing good things for yourself. Good luck with your new job. Hope it goes great and you love it. How exciting to be building a house for your family. Take care and check in when you can to let us know how you’re doing. ❤️
@jugar Oh no! That’s terrible that your dad told a fall. No fun at all. I’m glad he is resting at home. Hopefully you can get to him soon.
Off to bed for me. Reached my step goal. Ended up over 10k.6
