I don’t know when I stopped writing my steps.
So , here are the last few days.
3/31 = 6,398
4/1 = 10,624
4/2 = 10,349

4/2
steps - 1899 not including my pedaler.
calories - over by 34 without counting my exercise.
exercise - 10 1/2 minutes on my pedaler, which is just bike pedals and a counter. it's for those that can't get out and exercise but can't afford a stationary bike. i got mine thru the v.a. I also did some weight work on my arms/shoulders with a 15 lb dumbbell.
i basically took the day off after all of my walking this week. i'm thinking of taking a hike in a park tomorrow. i have to get revenge on it. i tried it last May and had to be rescued by the ranger. now i'm 115 lbs lighter so i stand a better chance. if i don't return here then you'll all know i failed and the squirrels and lizards are eating my body. lol.4 -

how long was your weight work? Remember I am able to convert most exercises into steps...so far you have 2999 without your weight work1 -
Today was ok. I worked my plan but decided to have a cheat night for dinner. I was around 250 over calories but my weekly averages are still good. I also got in my exercise and 10K steps.
I have a busy day tomorrow so I am not planning on exercise. My goal for the week was 150 minutes and I have done 221, so I’m good. I probably won’t make 10K steps because I will be doing a lot of sitting but I will try. So my goals for tomorrow are:
1. Focus on protein ... have shake(s)/ bar(s) with me when out
2. Walk when I can
3. No junk food

Hi @rwood566 - Wow! You have a dark sense of humour and I dig it! LOL Great job on your increased activity. If we don't hear from you, we will send the ranger out! But I know you CAN do it! YAY! You ROCK! Awesome progress!!!2 -

Well. Unfortunately, I ate something my stomach like and I threw up. Sorry to be graphic, but tis true! Anyway, I only got one walk in! I felt really dubious, had a nap and just felt pretty yuck. I have two stomach conditions, IBS and GERD, and either one can set me back.
Anyway, all is well, you know gotta turn that frown upside down!🌞😁
I am losing weight again, so that is good. All that binge weight plus more seems to be going.
I hope you all have an awesome day! Love ya bunches and bunches! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕4 -

Yesterday I struggled it was so busy here again with contractors and the kids were off. In addition it didn’t help that it was my last official day with my company of 20 years even though I have been on furlough for a year. I had take out for lunch and dinner. I did have a girls night at my neighbors house and our daughters so that was nice. Oh well today is a new day and there is only painters in the basement. A few more days and they should hopefully be done.4 -
@TheresaM787
Great job!
@red1185
Sometimes we need a day of rest. How do you like the Apple Watch?
@lcfa5317
Great steps!
@rwood566
You made me chuckle. Also, freak out a little as I am terrified of lizards and I won’t walk under a tree if a squirrel is in it.
@azkunk
I like that you work with a weekly average. Great goals for the day.

Today starts lockdown and I will start my challenge tomorrow morning. I still have to fine tune it. I admit that’s a sad check in. I wallowed in my sadness yesterday but today I will get all that red back to green. I am off grocery shopping in a few.
Hope your weekend is off to a great start!4 -

The last couple days have been so busy! Thursday my brother came over with his girls and hung out. We decorated Easter cookies that I had cut out earlier in the day. Just like Christmas, the kids had an absolute blast doing cookies together.
Thank you to all who commented on my back pain. Using Thursday as my rest day must have done wonders, it's much better now!
Yesterday was grocery shopping day and we went to 4 different stores, so most of my steps came from that. Last night I just jogged/danced in place for the rest of my steps.
I have so much stuff tagged for the consignment sale, it's taking over the spare bedroom. I hope it all sells so I don't have to put it back in my house lol.
Right now I'm heading out to try the long trail at the lake, I'm meeting my parents. I think I'll wear my HR monitor to see what it says for calories and distance. I think it's a little over 5 miles.

Thanks for the support everybody. I’m very number-driven when it comes to stuff like this, so it’s really hard to see low step numbers or a mildly higher weight. It’s so frustrating. Anyway...y’all are awesome, as always.
I think setting my weight loss goals as pound by pound has been very helpful for me. Instead of setting a 5 lb weight loss goal, and not seeing results fast enough was detrimental. I started making my goal just 1 lb, and that way the successes are little by little, but also visible.
@Bluetail6 : you’re right about not paying attention to the numbers because I am moving. I tell myself to do that, but it doesn’t always work.
What I am very happy about is that I am really starting to see a difference in the way my jeans are fitting. I’m having to pull them up, there’s a lot of room in the thighs, etc. That tangible feeling is very encouraging!
@lindamtuck2018 : idk how I feel about the Apple Watch. It’s ok. I wish it had the challenges that my FitBit had (both the solo challenges and the friend challenges). Hopefully they’ll come out with something like that eventually.
Weigh-in for this week:
PW: 163.8
CW: 162.0 WOOHOOO!!!
LTD: 17.6 lbs
I’m happy with those numbers. Again, little by little.
Thanks everybody. Y’all are awesome! 🙃

@lelbarou sorry about your stomach problems, but still a good number of steps. do what you can but always listen to your body. you did the right thing by resting up.
@lindamtuck2018 thanks for the laugh. it's a perfect way to start the day. if i can get a pic of the wildlife i'll send it to you so you can look at it as your foe that's preventing your weight loss and then beat it.
I try to live by a saying by that excellent wordsmith - Robin Williams. "we're all born with a spark of madness. Don't let yours go out." I pretty much have a roaring bonfire. lol I also believe everyone needs to laugh. most people don't do that enough. so, if i can get people to laugh once a day then i've succeeded.
i'm sorry if i don't comment on everyone's posts. i have recall issues and sometimes forget posts that i've just read. it drives me bonkers as it's really hard for me to read books now. i've had to read the same page 4 or 5 times to remember it. Have a wonderful weekend everyone and if you celebrate Easter please remember to turn off your sprinklers before the bunny hides the eggs outside. rabbits smell horrid when they are wet.6 -
@lelbarou - I think it is great to identify what it is you like about yourself, too many times we (I) don't acknowledge the good things about me. and great walk!!! are you sore? Decluttering - trying now to clean out the closet and sat down at the computer because I felt like I couldn't make another decision without a break - mentally tiring but feels so good!
@Bluetail6 I'm lucky to have had both covid shots and am traveling to Hood River, OR in a week to see my son who is on the road now moving from Anchorage to there. I can't wait to see him. My daughter and SIL are going, too so it is a family event. I hope to go camping in Sedona in May, before it gets too hot. This will be a solo trip and one I'm excited about doing.
@Megan_smartiepants1970 Glad you found shoes that are right for you. I love that brand, too!

Love your daily goals!
@Bluetail6
75k+ miles of travel per year is a lot! I can't even imagine that:) You must have really missed it. That is great that you will start to travel a bit now that you have the vaccine.
@rwood566
You did great with the pedaler and the dumbbells! Love your sense of humor! Thanks for the laughs:) Hope you enjoy your hike and don't meet up with any rangers, lizards or squirrels. I just read your next comment about the rabbits. Had me laughing again! I love this quote that you shared: "- Robin Williams. "we're all born with a spark of madness. Don't let yours go out." Sometimes people do not accept our moments of "madness" and it gets buried. I'm going to let it out more often because it sure is fun!
@lelbarou
Hope your stomach is feeling better now:) I love that you see the good qualities in yourself. I am also a person who sacrifices a lot and often especially with those I love.
@rlaskey2
Twenty years with a company is almost unheard of these days. It must feel a bit strange that it has come to an end. Perhaps the renovations and people working in your house will be a nice distraction.
@lindamtuck2018
So sorry things are getting locked down again. That will really be tough. I know you are determined and that you'll be putting some green up!
@Tazaria87
Glad your back is feeling better. You sure stay busy! Love those lake walks!
@TheresaM787
You are really doing amazing riding that bike!
@red1185
Baby steps:) That is just awesome that you can feel a difference in your jeans! That is great motivation:)
@363days
Your travels sound exciting!

I wrote this on my wall and thought I'd share it here as well.
It was a beautiful day outside today. My daughter and I went rented kayaks and paddled upstream for well over an hour. It sure was nice when we turned around and didn't have to paddle as much to get back.
This was my first time in a kayak. The place that rents them on the river is only ten minutes from my house. The weight limit is 230 pounds. I was over the weight limit since we moved here nine years ago, so I never suggested this as a family activity. Now I can do it!!!
It was so much fun. We are going to do it again and even try a different place next time. There is a bayou about forty minutes away where you see more wildlife including snakes and alligators. Yikes. Today wasn't even hard at all! I got into the kayak, out of the kayak and paddled hard all without a problem!7 -
@iradi8 congrats on the kayaking, but kayaking around alligators?? you're braver than i am.
numbers for 4/3:
steps - 3611. it seems like alot more than that, but i'll take it.
calories - under my goal of 1800. i had hot air popcorn for dessert instead of chocolate cake like yesterday.
exercise - yes, definately. surprisingly i even survived.
the hike was very fun. we didn't even get out of the car and found out the lizards were waiting to attack me. pulled into the parking spot and there were 5 on the wall in front of us. we couldn't find the trail head right away so we walked around the picnic area. as we climbed the hill we saw about 20 lizards, watched a hawk searching and people scurrying around. we even found the easter bunny lounging around waiting for night to come so he could get busy. i think the hawk was searching for him to spy on him hiding the eggs. lol4 -
Hey All. I will have to catch up tomorrow....
I got a very sad phone call not long ago.... A very dear friend of ours was put in hospice and given 2 days to live. It is a long story, but he was getting better, then developed an infection which caused everything to shut down. One of the best friends I have ever had. He was young. I offered to fly down immediately to be with him, his wife and children. However, Covid prevents anyone who isn't family visits, etc. The great news is that he knows how very much he is loved and will be missed. We have been involved in each others lives for years. It's a hard, sad day, but we are all grateful he is no longer in pain. I have been calling mutual friends. Hubs and I will be fine. His life is to be celebrated. Lee7
