@lindamtuck2018 since I am the only person who weighs on Sunday, can I move my weigh in day to Tuesday? Would you like to use this weight for this week or Aug. 3, weight for this week? I weigh every day so will have data either way. Thanks.
I will use the August 3rd weight. You are on your way to a great loss for the week.

@jayenguk
What a great attitude to start the month!
@Jpedno
Great goals for the month! Losing weight while dealing with medical issues can add another layer to the weight loss journey. You have set out smart goals that will help you on your journey. Great start to August with a yoga class.
@azkunk
Welcome back! Keeping your goals simple while getting back in the game is smart. There are months that I had one goal.

Welcome! Congrats on your weight loss so far. I love your goal of logging the lick, bites and morsels. I read an article which showed how easy it is to eat 100’s of extra calories with the BLT’s. Is the current weight from last Tuesday? If not I will leave your start weight with the group as 223.2 -

Hi, Im Deb. 57 y.o., 5"7' divorcee from Iowa. I was diagnosed as a diabetic when I was 26 years old. Doctors didn't bother to check to see if I was a type 1 or type 2. Was placed on oral medication for several years which did nothing to control my blood sugars. Was always told that my diet compliance wasn't good enough and that was why I was having so many complications. Was placed on insulin after 7 years. When I was 39 I had had 13 prp surgeries in one eye and 11 prp surgeries in the other plus two detached retina surgeries in both eyes. I had nerve damage to the point that my stomach doesn't empty, my eyes no longer adjusted to changes in light and dark very well and extensive nerve damage in my hands,right hip on down and left leg from the knee down. My right eye died in 2000 and shriveled up until it was removed. Went into full blown kidney failure when 41 years old. Spent 3 years on dialysis and gained 75 pounds. Was fortunate to receive a kidney/pancreas transplant in 2009 despite questions if I was a type 2 or type 1 diabetic and weighing 233 pounds which was over the limit for surgery.
After the transplant, I decided to do whatever it takes to make the organs last. I started walking then gradually added in resistance training. In two years, I lost 96 pounds. Developed foot injuries which took 2 tears to heal, a new boyfriend and went back to college. Put myself last and did not understand CICO. Regained 85 pounds over 3 years.
When March 2020 came and Covid was an hour from my house, I made a list of what I could do to improve my outcome if got Covid. Started dieting at 223.4 lbs. Joined MFP in late April and began weighing, logging food and walking per MFP suggested calories. I added in resistance training in June when gyms re opened here. I have lost 80 pounds since last year.
Am off my feet since the end of April while getting skin grafts on my right foot. The steroids I take all but stop my ability to heal so don't know when will be back to exercising at moderate intensity. Did go up from 143.2 to 151.9 early on when stopped exercise. But was back down to 143.1 most of this past week. Currently I am stage 4 chronic kidney disease which is the next step above kidney failure and considered am a cured diabetic despite all the nerve damage.5 -

I love intro time. Reading all of your stories lets me realize that I didn't have it as bad as I thought. It means I have been lazy. Thank you all for your stories of what you have been through. Here's mine...
I'm Roger. I live in San Diego. I am 57 years. I was in the navy for 12 1/2 years before they booted me due to weight. I last worked on 2008. Then I had a back problem where I couldn't stand up straight and in constant pain for over 2 years. I kept gaining all that time. I became housebound in 2017 and maxed out at 566 in march 2019. The V.A. had home care specialists helping me lose since then. I lost 30 lbs in the first 6 months and have been losing 10 lbs a month since. I had to relearn how to walk properly as my walking progressed from 300 feet in 4 1/2 minutes and 279 footsteps to now 6 or 7 miles. I literally waddled like a duck then. I was pre-diabetic and on 2 b/p pills. Now I have no b/p pills and not near diabetic range. I do have memory recall problems from a b/p collapse and light headedness when I am standing but I am trying to work thru them.
My goals for the month are:
- start logging all the small things I eat. 2 peanuts, 3 m&ms, etc. There's more than calories going in. Thank you @tahm42 for saying that before me.
- reach my half off day and celebrate it. I am 8 pounds away.7 -
Already on page 2! haha
Hi everyone! Happy to be here for another month!
My name is Tanya, I'm 33, originally from Liverpool, England- now living in Toronto, Canada!
I live here with my partner of 7 years and our 3 kitties!
I've been a member of F2F since November and I've been so grateful for the support and Iove I've got from everyone here! I'm down around 90lb from my highest weight. I did well up until January, losing about 50lb in 3 months but then things started to slow down due to some health issues.
2021 has been pretty unfortunate with my health- I had gallstones at the beginning of the year and had surgery eventually. Then, after being back at work for 2 months, I tore my meniscus so I'm off for another month! Ugh. It also means my exercise is limited. I love dancing with my wii fit, but right now that's on hold. I'm going to start walking in the next little while and continuing with my physio exercises.
I ended up having a "whoops" week last week and gained a lot- so even though I'll probably have a huge loss this week, that's mostly going to be water I'm sure. But I would love to get under 280lb by the end of August.
I started losing weight with the expectation to lose literally 200lb. So the fact that I'm nearly half way there makes me so happy!
As well as working when I'm physically able, I am currently in my first year doing a BA in Psychology. I'm doing it all online so learning how to keep a schedule and keep attention is difficult. I have left things to the last minute and for this month alone I have 2 assignments, 1 quiz and 2 final exams to do- so if I'm not here much, I'll have my head in the books, so to speak.
To anyone new here- welcome!! This is a really great group. Chime in as little or as much as you like! We are here for each other- through the good, bad, and the ugly! This is totally a non-judgement space so no need to feel like you can't share anything!

Yes let's do 7,150. That's roughly the equivalent of 10k steps 5 out of 7 days.2
