TBBT - What do you do when family and friends send cakes, pies, cookies, leftovers home with you?
Things that you really don't have room for in your diet.

Can I roll over my weight this week? Focus has been in getting over a head cold and treading water at work.

@brandi_84 Honestly? I throw them away. First I politely decline, but if they insist and shove a plate in my arms as I'm leaving, I discard it at my first opportunity. Sounds awful probably but it's the truth. It's easier than arguing with people, and it's MUCH easier than having the items hanging around my house tempting me.

When I was going in to the office every day it was easier because I could take it to work and leave it in the breakroom where it would disappear before lunch. Those days are gone.

@brandi_84 I just eat them, but that's not the right answer! Sue has the right answer!! If you don't want to throw them out, is there a neighbour, a senior or someone who lives by themselves, that would appreciate some baking and a visit?

I didn't want to weigh in today. But I'm going to accept it. I've been logging everything and I see if I just stay out of the snacks I could hit my goal.

@brandi_84 Kudos for being accountable, and for only being up a few ounces.

In my weak moments, I sneak a bite. In my stronger moments, it doesn't matter if it's available or not. I can choose not to eat that which is not good for me. It can just sit there until I decide it is past it's shelf life. Hubby like salty foods so sweets can sit for a long time if I don't eat them.

Today marks the first day of the last week of the September Challenge. Everyone on the team will automatically be rolled over into the October Challenge unless you tell us otherwise. So, if you know you will not be returning, a quick post would be appreciated.

I have not been a great captain. I could have done better with a little more interaction and a lot more personal involvement. Truthfully, I never set out to be the "captain". I volunteered to help out, seeing as I used to be the captain many moons ago, and there was a need. I had no idea that I would become the only one left to helm this ship. My head is not in the game, but it needs to be. For my trip to the Czech Republic, I have to buy a lot of new clothes as nothing fits me. If that's not a wake up call, nothing is. Also, I am saddened that I am making my first impression at this weight to my future daughter-in-law and her parents. So, now I really need my head to be in the game so that my second impression can be "wow, you've lost some weight, you look good".

So, I will continue for October (minus the time I am in Europe, of course) and keep on trying until I make it work. Fake it 'til you make it will become my new mantra.

You are doing amazing job running our team! I really do appreciate all the hard work you’ve been doing! I feel like everyone has struggled this month! We can brush our selves off and keep going! You and the team are the reasons I keep coming back after I fall off the wagon. Every time I feel like giving up, the positivity from this group makes me feel better and to keep pushing. And this is honestly what I needed. I don’t have a lot of encouragement at home, just in this group.

So thank you to everyone who has never given up on me and see the potential in me that I sometimes don’t see myself💗
