@DaffyGirl88 Nice loss this week, but more importantly, it is heading in the right direction now! I know you would probably prefer fast and faster, but you got slow and steady, instead.

@ForLangston In the same neighbourhood, so not terrible. However, I do hear the "south" side of town has promise!

Although I do realize that exercise is important for one's overall health, for right now I am able (for the most part) to get enough steps just doing things around the house to be able to stay comfortably in a deficit. It really is something I am going to start adding in come the New Year. To get through December, though, I am keeping it simple. Even my food is pretty repetitive these days and I am using frozen meals to help with that.

Now when I say "comfortably" in a deficit, I am embracing the hunger; meaning I am okay to be a little hungry. It also helps to remind me that I am actively trying to lose weight right now, not just hoping to or thinking about it. When I am more than a little hungry, I think about what I have eaten so far and how much water I have consumed to help me decide what goes in my mouth next! All very conscious actions.

Just catching up with the thread.

@rawrxamberx Thank you for the kindness! Remember to show yourself some of that too!

@HASWLRS Parent issues are so tough. I hope you find some peace soon.

To everyone (me included): Give yourself some grace. We're all here to ultimately take care of ourselves. Little slips will happen. Progress, not perfection!

Thank you for the reminder to live with grace

Hi everyone. I've been catchup up on our posts. It's heartwarming to see so many of you (us) continue to post in what can be a challenging month. Keep being good to yourself. Strive to do what is best for your body and your mind, but most important be kind to yourself when ideals and realities do not always align

    * I increased my daily goal to 1500. I was regularly hitting 1200 - 1300 not eating back exercise calories for the last 4 months and averaging 2 pounds a week until this last week and a half, where I'm stuck at 201. I started strength training at the beginning of Nov and am up to 3 days a week now. I should have recalculated my calories when I started that. But now I'm starting to feel worn out and fatigued, so all signs point to under eating.

@Fit_Prit I was trying to figure out how to enter your numbers on the spreadsheet without them looking like you lost 10 pounds in a week (would be nice, though!). So, I changed your starting weight to 220.8, and put your weight for week #1 at 217.0 to reflect the 3.8 pound loss that you did have. So for this week, I just carried over your 217.0 weigh-in. Now, any weight you lose next week will be true to the numbers! Sound good?

@DaffyGirl88 I think I am going to roast a sweet potato. Plus I picked up some Hungarian cabbage rolls yesterday, so I will probably have one of those, too. And hopefully a piece of whatever I pick up for dessert!

@HASWLRS Sounds tasty. I think you should add chicken and broccoli 🥦 to the Alfredo sauce and have that, either skipping the noodles or just having a few. Or maybe putting the sauce on zoodles, or sqoodles, or spaghetti squash. Ok .. now I'm officially hungry. 😂

Enjoy your evening whatever you end up eating. 🥰

I need to start doing my check ins in time. Last week was tough at school. And I haven't been exercising enough so I need to catch up on that too.
