@brandi_84 Nothing like the cookie aisle to remind us that we weigh too much!! Did the "eyes closed" trick work?1 -

I knew it was going to be a bad week. I didn’t workout on Friday or Saturday and I haven’t been staying within my daily calories. No real reason for missing workouts and not eating well… just laziness. Today I’m helping my MIL with housework. She hasn’t been feeling well so I may not have time for working out, but I’ll make time with some to meal prep for the week, not beat myself up - I’m good at doing that - and start again tomorrow.6 -

@forbes_melissa You had been going so hard for so long that maybe you just mentally needed a break? Yes, you gained this week, but you have lost sooo much in the short time that you have been with us. Remember that and be proud of that. This little gain is a small setback, nothing more: There is no timeline to reaching our goals! You are a good daughter-in-law for helping your MIL today and a very, very good reason for not working out, formally. I am sure you will still be burning calories, though. Yes, meal prep and start fresh tomorrow. Monday is always a good day for that!!5 -

exercise: yes, Fitbit gave me a 39 minute walk, burning 225 calories while we were walking around the Christmas tree farm, picking out the perfect (huge) tree and then hoisting it into truck, and then out again to have it shaken and wrapped, and then back into it. And then into the house once we got home....man, I am sore today!!

@jenkindo What a great strategy, Jen. First, you looked up the menu ahead of time, and second you split the entree into two meals! A great day!!3 -

Worked on outside X-mas decorating. I haven't had a yard in 5 years, so I am out of practice. Tomorrow, I am working a 12 hour shift (4 hr. as a CNA), hopefully I won't get too worn out. Good Night Team TBBT.⛄🎅🤶🎄🎁👼❄☃😴

exercise: yes, Fitbit gave me 20 minutes of aerobic exercise while I was decorating the tree, burning 89 calories, so I'll take it!!

water: 10 cups
Speaking of "the tree", it is not taking up water! Gave it water as soon as we brought it in the house, (which was maybe three/ three and a half hours after it was cut), and .... nothing. We are so doomed! And disappointed! And I was hoping it would look nice for my son and his girlfriend when they come.3 -

@DaffyGirl88 Yes, they are, and getting the house ready and presentable for two extended stay house guests is no small task! My son flies in on the 17th, and his girlfriend is coming on the 28th. She wanted to spend Christmas with her family, and I don't blame her!! They have so many traditions over there, that she would come here and probably want to say, "You call that celebrating Christmas?!!" When she comes, though, I am worried about what the government may do to her, in terms of quarantining, since she is not Canadian, (yet fully vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine!)3 -
