Weigh in Week 2
Username: Jenkindo
Weigh in day: Mon
Previous week's weight: 202.6
Today's weight: 201.4
@jenkindo Not the lowest weight you have seen on the scales lately, but a solid loss recorded this week nonetheless!! You'll see that low weight again, and lower still, soon enough!1 -
@HASWLRS Thank you. I'm trying to stay positive. A loss is a loss, but I am beating myself up a little. I know it will go down again, and even lower. I know I didn't gain 1.2 pounds of fat overnight!
@jenkindo Absolutely...just normal weight fluctuations! A weigh-in is just a snapshot of that particular moment in time. The best way to know if you are making progress (and you know that you are) is to graph the weigh-ins over time. There will be ups and downs, of course, but it is the overall trend that will tell the tale.3 -

@IvanaKirilova I know you just weighed in recently, but since you have Monday as your weigh-in day, we'll try to get you back on schedule. Post a weight, then, as soon as you can. Tomorrow morning, if possible. And today was a good day...all yes's!!1 -

Definitely don’t be so hard on yourself! It will come down with time! Like my late aunt used to tell me, an ounce or pound off one hip is better than not losing at all. Plus you’d rather lose the weight slowly cuz you’re better at keeping it off and your body adjusts better! Hang in there! 😊
I’ve been beating myself up lately too cuz I haven’t really been consistent with logging, but everyday I keep trying to do better than the last day! I feel as long as I don’t stop trying, I’ll get the hang of it eventually.4 -

I have been wanting to post on here for a few days, but it is still such a pain to navigate and post from my phone... I charged my laptop up and am now posting from here... It is so much easier! That silly navigation menu at the bottom of the screen on android is crazy.
Tomorrow will be my first day out of the house in two weeks, and I'll be heading back to work! Half of my team is still out until next week, but I am ready to brave the craziness.
I am feeling MUCH better than I was a week ago, and even better than 2 weeks ago. I've done a lot in the past few days, so I'm snipping it into a spoiler so I don't take up the whole pageI started cleaning around my house Thursday? I managed to reorganize one of our spare rooms that currently houses all of my brother in law's stuff, as he moved back in with his parents after selling the house he shared with his ex-wife. It turned into a complete junk room, and looked as though a hoarder had taken up the space. I don't even know how that stuff ended up in there! So, I reorganized all of it, stacked all of his totes and things in the room, and have now freed up a ton of space for our computer desk and chair, and turned it back into a mini office.Today I just caught up on laundry and organizing some little things around the house... I also finally finished checking off a few things on my list for Christmas shopping. Online shopping sometimes seems to pull away from supporting local business, but I made some orders through two companies that are right here in town (some wonderful handmade soy candles, and a couple that makes bath and shower bombs), and they'll be the perfect gifts for some of my close friends and my brothers girlfriend (soon to be SIL when my brother pops the question in a few weeks!!!)
I began organizing our basement, which we utilize for our Christmas Eve dinner. I rearranged the furniture, swept, mopped, dusted and vacuumed everything that I normally don't consider cleaning on a regular basis. I dusted off our bar and rewashed all of our drinking glasses(I don't know why we have so many, neither of us are big drinkers). I pulled out our Christmas decorations and set up our tree, the village, and got in the spirit and made some m&m chocolate chip cookies(of course, green and red m&ms).
Saturday I did a deep clean of the living room, cleaning behind the furniture, the baseboard heaters, dusting, etc. I even moved my bike(it is possibly past the point of repair, something electrical has gone in it) out of the living room for space for our second tree. I don't know if I will be putting up the second tree this year as I completely changed the layout of the room over the summer, and I don't know if it will look right away from the fireplace.
I made a delicious chicken and broccoli recipe in my instant pot. I made enough for lunches at work the next three days. I have my breakfast, lunches and snacks ready to get thrown into my lunch bag in the morning. I am hoping work goes well tomorrow, and I feel alright. I am itching to get to a class tomorrow night (Cardio kickboxing and possibly spin, yes! Or, I'll hop on the arc trainer!) but I am obviously going to listen to my body and judge how I feel. I won't be pushing myself if I'm not ready.
Anyways, that's enough from me. I've been reading through the group and am still trying to catch up. I feel like Lisa and I are in the same boat, prepping the house for visitors! I have to say, the little things getting done around the house really do help improve your mood once it's done!
This team has been doing a really great job this month! Keep up the amazing work through the holidays! We CAN do this! Have a great night everyone!5 -

@cmhubbard92 Thank you so much for the update. You must be feeling better if you are considering going to a class at the gym!! And I do agree that getting little things done around the house does improve one's mood!2

@cmhubbard92 I'm glad you're feeling better, but don't over do it all at once! I'm exhausted looking at your list and I wasn't even sick!2

@DaffyGirl88 My mother has memory loss, and she has trouble even finding the words sometimes to express what she wants to say. Dementia also results in more anger and more paranoia. And she really has been unhappy most of her life. Dad is a single child raised by older parents, so basically a spoiled brat that never had to think about anyone else. She probably would have gotten a divorce years ago if she thought she could have lived on her own, but she has never been a confident woman, so she didn't. Now Dad is forced to help her, and he is, but of course all those feelings of anger and resentment over the years still come out of Mom. It made me angry that she was dredging up the past that is no longer relevant. So there was yelling on my part, tears on my sister's part, and some of both on my mom's part. Mom is physically and mentally ready for a retirement home, but not that far off of a nursing home if it gets much worse. If Dad had help with meals and household chores, he could still live at home. So they are at different stages. He is willing to go into the retirement home that is right around the corner from them, but they are on a wait list and mom doesn't know if she can wait. She wants to put her name into homes in other towns, but Dad really doesn't want to leave the only town he has ever lived in.
I haven't even told my husband any of this. When I got home last night he was finishing up his dinner and was 15 minutes from leaving for curling so I said I would tell him later.6 -
