    You wee imposter, Bella!

It is weird. I lost a lot through the worst of the pandemic lockdowns when most stores here were closed, and when they were open it was just for little flash of times and the change rooms were closed. During that time I went from a 2xl to a small/medium - 24 to a 10 and what I thought my size was or whether or not a particular item of clothing would fit would change from moment to moment. Underwear I was buying online (guessing about fit and size) and must have given away 40 pairs (because I confidently bought them in 6 or 3 packs...lol) that didn't fit or were just too weird for me.

So glad you are having this crazy - but joyous experience. Eventually you are going to believe that this is your size!

Part is physical conditioning and stress or other issues. I'm fairly contained that part is adaptive thermogenesis related. And part is just plain weight change, with weight not always denoting changes to energy reserves (aka fat stores).

But it is an interesting indicator for me as in my case it coincides or leads scale changes most of the time

Yes, I have to corroborate this idea. At .y leanest, my rhr was 49. Now, it's in mid to higher 50's. To answer your earlier questions, no rhr is pretty flat. Weight lifting is about the same. Weight has popped up some. Trending up 2 lbs in the last couple weeks. Total weight change for the year is only .8lbs though, so maybe I just had some shifts in body water and stomach contents. 🤷‍♂️

Trying to figure out how to "work" my numbers to keep motivated. Hard to shake the "so many pounds heavier than the beginning of October" blues. I just can't really absorb/face these higher numbers on the scale, and that isn't helping me feel any sense of accomplishment even when the number goes down. So ... I'm going to try doing "countdown" to bring some excitement to my mornings. And not focus on what it is exactly that I'm counting down :D
I started at 33 this past Tuesday ... that number is coming down :) ... 0 will just be a blink away in the big scheme of things.

    20220104 - 33
    20220105 - 30
    20220106 - 28

Great progress, ABD - when I first looked I thought that loss was for a week - but it is for a day. You are on fire :)

Connie - we must have bought our boats at the same marina! Let's go - we can get back to where we were and make this our last months of losing and our first months of successful maintenance.

I am ready to tackle this weight again….I can’t seem to indulge in any sweets right now without setting off a binge so I am not eating candy, cookies, cake, or pie….maybe that is the answer for me, just leave it alone!….I also need to start exercising again….I have been so busy cooking ( and eating ) I haven’t had time….but I do feel so much better at 264 than 280!….and loads better than I did at 350!….I honestly don’t know how I was carrying so many extra pounds….

We can do this …..we WILL do this!….I AM going to do this!….and so are YOU!

Down 1.3lbs for both trend weight and scale weight. Not often the two figures are in synch like that...

Hi, Bella! You go girl - you are so close to that "normal/healthy" BMI. Though I don't 100% buy that whole system, it still feels good to get to the next level.

I hear you, Connie. Feeling how much harder it is to get out of bed 30 pounds up (without using my arm to push off with) has been a real eye opener. How in the world did I carry all those extra pounds! More so than hot momma looks, I want to drop these 50 pounds for my poor hips/knees/feet and back (so far they aren't complaining, but they will eventually!)

@psychod787, I have to call you Psycho for short - can't resist that (unless that would not sit well with you). Wow. What a journey you have been on! Glad you are here with us - I could use some of the wisdom/knowledge/systems you must have gained along the way.

Day 5 of my countdown :) Yesterday was a tough one. I think the hamsters are on to me!

    20220105 - 30
    20220106 - 28

@psychod787 are you trying to stay up, come down a bit, or are you relatively indifferent?

How are you doing with the cinder blocks in the driveway, or are you now back to "normal" gym equipment, or have you cut down a bit?

So I have 27 lbs to goal. It was 25 but Christmas goodies! I hope to lose .5 a week and get there this year. My exercise is severely limited right now. I can do upper body weights but cardio is not possible due to ongoing pain. Hoping the orthopedic appointment Tuesday helps get me back to my walking routine.
I’ve been over 300 lbs. years ago. Started MFP at 263 - down 85 lbs. this time. Yet, the last 27 lbs. is proving the most difficult. The calorie allowance is so much smaller with each pound lost. Trying to make better food volume choices and not feel deprived or constantly hungry.
