@Krysless2 i am the same way! I have to do the accountability challenge in order for me to stay on track and be fully aware. When I don’t, I usually end up not sticking with it!
I hope you don’t mind but I think I wanna try that red and green dot thing cuz that is such a good idea! I just don’t want you to think I’m trying to copy you or something.1 -

I'm still here I don't get notifications anymore, since the update, so I never see tags or anything, and it is still bothering me!

Totally don’t mind!! I switch up the emojis sometimes too. As long as one is clearly a negative and other is a positive!0 -

Everydaywechoose, thanks for the quote. Something to ponder. We are often too critical of ourselves and our situation. Whoever said we are supposed to be perfect? We have our basic genetic mold, busy schedules, hormonal changes, water retention, family responsibilities, and a million other things going on that affect our bodies and our health. The important thing is that we are actively working on ourselves now. We should applaud ourselves for that!
Go Team!
The rose is a rose from the time it is a seed to the time it dies. Within it, at all times, it contains its whole potential. It seems to be constantly in the process of change: Yet at each state, at each moment, it is perfectly all right as it is.” – Paulo Coelho
I appreciate your thoughts @redhatsenior. This is exactly what I mean when I say this group is healthy and suportive. Gracias mi amiga:)1 -

I just noticed that myself today! For awhile I was getting the notifications and the last couple days I haven’t been getting any 😭1 -

Rainy Days; Not being consistent; Getting 'stuff accomplished' while sitting on my bottom in front of a monitor, necessary at the first part of a new year but hard to get myself up and out. Weighing myself daily again and remembering all too well why I stopped doing that.
Seeking a new balance. My walking buddy at work is leaving for another job in another community so I am bracing myself for independent motivation to continue the '3 o'clock' walk. I might need more than one buddy to keep it up, he was the one who was at the elevator every single day ready to walk a 5K. Fingers crossed I can motivate some others to walk with me daily.

I took this day off of exercise as a rest day. I did some extra snacking and indulged too much in chocolate.
Tomorrow, back on the beam.

@redhatsenior We all need rest days. And sometimes we need chocolate too! 😁 Just don't get carried away (easier said than done) and you'll be fine. I work either a fun size pack of M&Ms or 5 Hershey's kisses into my day every day. Life without chocolate is no fun. 🍫🥰1 -

@maryc11 I hope you can find a new walking buddy. Having someone waiting on you is a great motivator. Maybe you can find an audio book or something else to do while walking alone to help the time go by? I know if I'm listening to a good book I can't wait to walk in order to continue the story. 😊0

@DaffyGirl88 Great suggestion! I will let you know how that works out. Very pleased to report my hubby stepped up today to 'walk me' for the first time ever...so maybe it's a blessing in disguise, right?3

Sometimes I feel like Arthur in King of Queens when Carrie and Doug hired the dog walker to walk him. :-)0

Yesterday was lovely. We took our beach umbrella, chairs, and of course roasted peanuts and low carb coolers and spent the afternoon on the beach listening to tunes, and the surf, and watching people. Laying in the sand. The weather is so cool now it it pleasant. I even layed in the sun for a bit to warm up before I went into the ocean for a bit of fun. On the weekend 'vacationers' come from Guadalajara to hit our beaches. Love love to watch the mexican families. Always fun to watch people set up their umbrella...you can tell those who know what they are doing, v.s. the 'visitors'. I have a kindle, and I brought it. I think I read for about half hour. My hubby's the avid reader. Me, hahah I'm still reading the same book for over a year. We normally eat at home, but the sun tuckered us out, so we went to a little fish street taco place that friends raved about. It was delicious. It was the perfect saturday afternoon3 -

What I’d give to be on a warm beach right now 😂 every winter I crave for warm weather! It sounds like you had fun! What you described sounded so peaceful and lovely 😊2 -
@everydaywechoose I'm trying not to be jealous. We have been in a coldsnap since a week before Christmas. I've only gotten out to ski once. The rest of the time it has been hovering around -40 Celsius!
@Marci11 the peloton app has some outside waddling and running programs. They give you audio to tell you what to do during your walk. Might help time pass.
