Life has been manic … and very depressing here. I’m still struggling with injury - and I fell again on Saturday. This time I couldn’t identify the trip hazard that I’d caught. Then there have been sick grandsons and sick sons … one of whom has managed to infect me with Covid.
As things go, I’m quite well (I think). Hopefully I shall see you all in February, fighting fit and raring to go!

Hmmm.... sorry if this post appears twice. Gremlins at work.
And now we have @Leanz and @k80flec passing the goal line!
@k80flec sorry this has been a tough month, but sounds like you've already pulled yourself up and are ready to try again. Hope things improve in February.
1 day left - I'd like to see the whole spreadsheet turn gold. You can do it!0 -

I finally did it!! Woohoo! I had a few obstacles this month, but one happened last week that really scared me. I was having dinner with my family after work and swallowed a piece of food that would not go down all the way. It got stuck at the bottom of my esophagus. I ended up in the hospital having to have an endoscopy done to remove the piece of food. I was out of walking a few days and while in the hospital I found out I had covid. So I was out of work for 5 days. But I'm all better. Back to work and back to walking and biking. Looking forward to February!0 -

@micheleg1965:What a scary situation. I think all of us have had that moment where we thought we were chocking or had food go down the wrong way, but not to what you went through. And then Covid on top of all that too. So glad you made it through and finished goal as well.
@k80fec: Wow! So sorry to hear all you have been going through with injuries, sick family and Covid. Didn’t you son have Covid early on? Did he get it again or different son? Wish this was a once get it and done thing, but I guess we see it isn’t going to be so. My cousin just lost her 47 yr old DIL a week ago to it. It has been such a life altering new normal for all of us. Hang in there. You are in my thoughts and prayers for better days ahead.

Both my boys have had Covid 3 times - the youngest back in March 2020, at the very beginning before it was even known about loss of smell and taste! We thought he was a little dotty complaining about that!!
Both are double vaccinated and boosted too. Both are front line workers. My eldest is a kitchen porter at the hospital and his 22 month old is in the hospital staff kindergarten. I’m stunned that I’ve managed to get this far without catching it from them. My youngest working on a project to get teenagers and young adults into employment.
I had coffee with my youngest on Sunday after taking my grandson to swim club because his daddy was feeling under the weather. As he’d tested positive before Christmas I kinda’ thought he was just under the weather! My bad luck!
I’m sending hugs for the loss your family has suffered.1 -
@k80fkec:I am really sorry to here about all you family has gone through. It has to be a bit demoralizing today keep going through it. You have done well to stay free of it for so long. Hope your u feel better soon.
