Tomorrow is a trip to a nearby Mineral Spa for one night with my son. We soak our aching joints in the mineral waters 3 or 4 times over 2 days and I use the time in the pool to exercise my joints and do my stretching exercises too. I know when I have done a good job because I’m a little sore on Monday 😆 . Plus it’s good quality time spent with my son.4

@jugar oh yeah -- we're on for week 4! nothing more to be done about the lack of checks for week 3. I'm hard at work picturing a very green July...
Having one of those "perfect days" - feeling very productive. I got more job apps in, put away my laundry, took a long walk without much irritation in the foot injury, went straight into yoga and then straight into a cardio video on FitOn. all told, I did 3 separate workout videos today and I'm about to do a new 10 min bedtime yoga from Adriene. Meals were great, including a new little recipe for a warm caprese wrap (mozzarella, basil, tomatoes, balsamic vinegar in a 50 cal tortilla). Dessert was some baked apple bites, which I adore.
tomorrow, I am going to my cousin's house for the first time for a cookout. I will get to meet the baby she had during quarantine! I'm bringing cornbread and pineapple to grill. Trying to be smart about calories early in the day because I don't actually know what's on the menu. And I'll get yoga and a 35 min workout in before I leave for sure.
I do need to keep working on all-or-nothing thinking. This week was largely a wash for movement and good eating. gotta push myself to take the baby steps towards health even on days when I'm feeling down or lazy.
seeing some lovely losses in the chat! way to go all around3 -

6/16 exercise:
13725 steps
I was busy at work and had little errands to get done too, like picking up a few things at the grocery store, a vet appointment, and dropping our little fluff off at her dog sitter's for our trip.
But the worst part was that I left "Vegas clothes shopping" till tonight... big mistake.
Anyway, I got my bathing suits, and a dress.. but yeah.. I gotta stop being a procrastinator.
Not packed and on the plan in less than 12 hours so time to jet! Enjoy the weekend all.6 -

After weeks of frustration and not losing weight finally it seems changes I made are working and I'm happy about it. This week, I worked again from office, took participate of 2 of pilates sessions and one BBB workout which was really fun. In one of pilates classes one instructor somehow made fun of me, as I was the fattest person out there without proper flexibility, that was upsetting but after seeing the scale I thought who cares, what matters is just continuing the practice of excercises not her opinion about me.7 -
Hello again,
I must admit that I haven't reached my goals from last week : haven't logged in and haven't lost. No gain, though, and some exercices too. I normally swim across a nearby lake every day by this time of year, and I haven't been able to kick myself to get back even if swimming across that lake is one of the things that make me feel wonderful and able to cope with whatever I have to face. It is funny how something like swimming a couple of km a day seemed so normal and easy and rewarding for years, and now, just because I haven't done it for a few months, it seems like a huge thing that I can no longer fit anywhere. It takes about one hour and 15 minutes total with getting there and having a shower after. I think that the only way to get back into it will be to place it at the very beginning of each day : nothing can distract me from it that way... I am going to track my lake swimming and exercice. I want to feel proud of myself again... and at the moment, I am not proud.
@ashleycarole86, well done for choosing sleep over food when grumpy and impatient. I will think of that possibility next time I loose it with my 12 year old, and @jugar, I think the yellow hat is a brilliant concept...I shall propose it in our house hold. The thing is we would probably need 4 yellow hats around...as when one of us start being impatient, it quickly spread out around the whole family.

I did not chose a day for weighing yet... I guess Wednesday is a good one,

I had a moment of 'all or nothing' thinking yesterday after an overly large lunch but I held it together with the team's voices in my head and didn't binge with snacks before and after dinner.
Today I will be back on track, I want 4 weeks in the green!!!5 -
What a trend! The weigh-ins coming in are beautiful
@ashleycarole86 and @bowens1973 Bon Voyage! I hope you have a great time in Las Vegas. I have never been tempted to go there, but I have a good friend who worked for the Cirque du Soleil and had to live there for a couple of years. She got to like it quite a bit - gorgeous nearby nature and hidden goodies in the city. Have a blast!
@once_mas Thanks for sharing your Pilates story, and your wonderful attitude about that thoughtless instructor. You are doing an amazing thing, making progress, and you are THERE. Any fitness instructor should be going out of their way helping you know how fantastic you are, and reminding you that keeping at it is the thing that will get you healthy and strong if you get discouraged. Luckily, you gave yourself that pep talk and you should walk in there with your head held high every single time. Hats off!
@mmarceau2 Don't beat yourself up over not being perfect! No loss, no gain - that is a good place to start. Swim when you can, ride your gorgeous horse, run after those unruly boys of yours - you'll get there
@lauren_989 and @eggfreak - quiet but mighty good this week6 -

I'm super excited because my husband decided he doesn't have any more room for bonsai tree starts so he packed up the grow room and gave it to me! He set up a smaller setup in the laundry room and garage. I moved my piggies into the new room. I'm working on getting all of the adventure/outdoor items organized in the closet. The rest of the room will be a dedicated work out room! I'm going with a boho theme because I have a pile of antlers, feathers, rocks, plants and bird nests to work into the room decor. Did some shopping for the room today. I'm at a birthday party with my son. Can't wait to get home and keep working on it.6

Evening all! We made it to Vegas, got checked in, met up with our friends, had a late lunch, walked the Strip and did some late night supper. Easily over 15,000 steps and that was with a flight! Looking forward to lots of steps this week. The heat feels good so far - hope to keep it manageable.
Definitely had a lot of alcohol calories today, and ate more than I normally would, but when we got to supper and Brad and I weren't hungry we did agree to split a meal, something the old us would never have done, so I felt good about that!
Having some water and then hitting the hay.. didn't sleep well last night and there is a one hour time difference so we were tired early!
6/17 exercise:
10203 steps + 62 minutes Peloton5 -
Sunday weigh in
PW - 185.5
CW - 186.2
I was desperate to get 4 straight green weeks, especially as this will probably be my last weigh in for the next 4 weeks as we fly out to Virginia on Wednesday.
Never mind - I will just be more determined than ever to not splurge while we're away. Well, not much, anyway (I will be celebrating my birthday while we're in Virginia too!)
I will be back to post later on.
Oh, before I forget! I think that your pilates instructor, @once_mas was bang out of order with her rude comments to you. She's lucky that you didn't lodge an official complaint! I think that your attitude after her rudeness is outstanding.

a rainy Sunday morning here, gave me a chance to catch up on all your posts...too many to respond to but I'll say you all are inspiring, even if you're struggling a bit...just seeing how busy everyone's lives are with challenges different from mine, and still posting and trying to do something for yourselves, get healthier....inspiring! I'll attempt to get on here and post more often in July, but can't promise, my mother's sister coming to stay with us and visit for 10 days, followed by another dear friend (but staying elsewhere) means a busy July. My days are filled with managing everyone's food intake, pill intake, output (even the 14yr old cat gets Miralax ), the who's doing what schedule (siblings), and keep my job.
I'm expending a lot of calories in the garden...good thing yesterday though, that I was in the house when I heard mum cry out when she'd lost her balance and fell backwards into the bathtub - fortunately and miraculously, no real injuries. We both took tylenol...for me, because I'm the one who hauled her out.
Still not fitting into my summer clothes - just as well my office runs too cold and I usually have a fleece on.
A good day to finally make my veg soup. @Kali225 - I know, soup in summer, but it's good (maybe even like a gazpacho) and I'll eat it cold if I don't want to march down to the microwave at work.

@eggfreak glad you were able to help your mom. My grandmother has fallen so many times in the last 2 years, it's put everyone on edge around her (which she abhors). I will say it is certainly chilly in our neck of the woods today, so hot soup allowed. I've been leaning heavily into no-cook meals recently to avoid turning on the oven! Charcuterie-style lunch today.
Dinner at my cousin's house was so fun and a pretty healthy meal to boot! Grilled pork tenderloin w/ a tasty rub, salad, and my cornbread (they kept all the leftovers too except some grilled pineapple which is ideal). Her daughter is 3.5 years old and very funny.
I'm really focusing on sleep schedule this week. I've had 2 good days in a row of waking up at or before 7 naturally and running with it. I got my grocery shopping done before 9am today! There's so much more time in the day when you don't sleep until 9:20. Who knew.
Good workouts on deck for this week too - I'm hoping I can weigh-in tuesday right around where I left off before the big birthday weekend (~255.X). That would be 3 weeks in the green for me in June I think.
As soon as my fitbit is charged, I'm going to do my workout for the day (abs on FitOn) and then have lunch. Yoga and meal prepping are already done. A long walk after lunch before I start a lot of interview prep for the rest of the day.
Happy Sunday, happy Juneteenth to those in the US, and happy father's day to any parents in the crowd! (I say this includes pet parents).4
