Goals/Day/Comments: Still Keeping a low carb routine. Another day of 30 hrs intermittent fasting and not bad I must say. I wasn't hungry as I was distracted by everything and I drank my 1/2 gallon lemon water as usual. Tooting my own horn but I am very proud of myself.
Wow! 30 HOURS! Very impressive and I hope it helps you achieve your goals.
My husband and I are watching the series “Alone” (reality show about contestants left to survive on their own in the wilderness). We joke that I wouldn’t make it past lunch.1 -

Comments - I have every other Friday off and my husband went fishing yesterday so I had plenty of time to think about how to achieve my goals and what’s been holding me back because I’ve made no progress all summer. Bottom line is I’m lazy and almost nobody in my life cares how much I weigh. Every one (except me) loves me for who I am despite the extra weight. Yesterday got me really thinking though. You see my dad (now 86 years old) almost died in May. He’s had a series of health problems for several years and one finally got to the point where he couldn’t eat without choking. He was in the hospital and they wanted to put in a feeding tube to give him nourishment. He said no that he wanted to go home and if he died he was okay because he was ready. My siblings and I all drove home to see him (he lives in Missouri) to prepare for the worst. He’s always been the one person in my life that wanted me to get healthy. I, regrettably now, told him if he lived I would lose weight. Well he kept his end of the deal and I didn’t. I’m going back in 2 weeks to see him and I’ll be a big disappointment, almost to the point that I thought of canceling my trip but I can’t because he’s still alive but we don’t know for how long.
Bottom line is I need to do this for my dad because doing it for myself just doesn’t seem to be the reason that’s going to work for me. Sorry for the drawn out comments today, but thanks for “listening”. I felt like it needed to be said and this seemed like a great place to put it.
@frankwbrown - sounds like a wonderful day of hiking. It’s just too warm here in SWLA (Louisiana that is) for too much hiking yet and the love bugs are RIDICULOUS!
@pauletzl - Hope you have a wonderful weekend as well.3 -

Rough, emotional week for me. My friend's memorial was yesterday, she passed away 2 months ago from the cancer that brutally destroyed her. Besides her 3 wonderful Sons, her passing has left such an emptiness in many of us. 100+ people were there to share their feelings, memories and love for Lori. She was a remarkable, selfless, loving woman, and friend to all she met. She made everyone feel like family and was never too shy to tell you what you needed to hear, whether or not you wanted to hear it! I miss her like the Sister I never had. I will just let the tears flow and keep her in my heart for the rest of my years.

@pkg1998 Ahahaha, it did help thanks. For 3 weeks I was stucked at 158.6lbs and now I'm at 156.2 lbs and my goal is 145 lbs so I'm very very close. My days are basically 1 protein bar and 1 protein shake with fruits all measured. Dinner is also measured which is usually 1 cup rice with meat or 1 baked potato and my daily 1/2 gallon water. Now that it's getting cool I won't be doing so much water anymore daily. I'm hoping to to hit my goal by Thanksgiving 😁😁😁😁 (kinda very ambitious).2
