    My name is Julie and I live in Keller, Texas, just a little north of Fort Worth. I just turned 55, have been married for 33 years and have an 18 year old son (Jason) at Texas Tech. I'm looking to lose weight to be more healthy and more mobile.

    @Walela617 - I'm doing dry January again this year. Last year I lasted until spring break, but it definitely seems to make a difference in weight loss even if you stay in calorie range. Wishing you luck.

    @GwenS23 - You can select your weigh-in day. Any day of the week will work as long as you consistently report each week on that day so you can monitor your progress over time. The weekly stats are usually calculated early Saturday morning so that might influence your choice.

    I managed to stay within my calorie budget today which is great. I’ve been loading my dinner plate with veg and I’ve started drinking a large glass of water with my dinner too, which seems to make me feel fuller.
