@ LoraineGB I just bought some nutritional yeast today and the guy in the shop said that it tastes like crunchy cheese. Hesaid that Vegans eat it a lot because it is packed full of vitamins and minerals - is really good for you. Well I love cheese so that is bonus for me!!!

@DD265 You made me feel ashamed when I read all the things you are doing! I like your idea of photographing your plate of food so you remember what to write in the food tracker I don't do weights but my son started a couple of years back and has lost a lot of weight. He looks great now and is super fit. I am very competitive so will need to step up my game now ..5

Let's turn those blah days around - I just had one, and I don't want another one tomorrow. So I'm going to do a few pushups and squats, so that I do not have a zero day. But tomorrow - better planning, better doing.

@lauren_989 I am in the same boat. I've been doing so well the last 5 weeks and the last 4 days have been off the rocker with my eating. I know a good workout will help snap me out of it and that's what I'll do tomorrow.

I managed to overcome the sugar cravings that were plaguing me last week and feel a bit less fatigued. TOTM was this week and I always feel better when that's out of the way. After 18 months of avoidance, I have been to the gym twice this week and will go again today. I'm sticking to just cardio for now to try and get my stamina up. Still concerned about my thyroid but I haven't got round to making an appointment yet. I have looming home reno projects that I need to start, the cold weather is putting me off but I can't hide from them forever and it would really help my activity levels to get on with it.
I am losing weight much more slowly than I have done in the past, which I am having to come to terms with. I'm frustrated with my past self for allowing all the weight back on after reaching goal 14 months ago, as it's going to take me twice as long to get back there this time. Gah.5 -

@nightfeeding1 don't feel bad! I only do so much because it's scheduled, either with professionals or friends. Getting competitive is a great way to motivate yourself though. I don't have to add any text to the photos; they get uploaded and that's job done. Unfortunately it's a dietician-provided app or I could recommend having a look at it.
It is that TOTM here too - I haven't missed this! Feeling bloated and crampy and PMS-y and bleurgh. I am totally blaming it for my weight being up a bit, whilst appreciating it could also be water retention from the increased intensity of my exercise. All good, will keep focusing on my food intake.
I would like to get a walk in at lunch time as it looks nice out, if cold, but I may not be able to leave the house. We're waiting for a repair guy to look at our front door and I don't know what time he's turning up. I have my fingers crossed that he doesn't turn up during my customer meetings this morning or my 1hr dietician appointment this afternoon. When I booked, OH wasn't down as working, but he had an extra shift he forgot about to make up some hours and is out all day.
My 'comfort food' for today is a spicy chicken pasta from the supermarket. It's got a tomato-based sauce with peppers in it, a mild kick, and chunks of chargrilled chicken, eaten cold. I have tried to replicate it at home but not been remotely successful, so every time we go to that supermarket, I get a couple. This is my lunch (with some fruit and probably crisps), then for dinner we're having herby chicken skewers - I expect with potato wedges and vegetables.
This evening, I'll have a walk on the treadmill (or outside), and I'd like to get a couple of jobs done. Nothing strenuous, just a nice distraction from TOTM. I'm in the process of working out the seed sowing for the allotment too, which is a relaxing admin/research job. I need to figure out what is sown where, when and how much, so that I can make sure I have space for it all!4 -

Really happy to have a loss this week after my huge loss last week. I know a loss after a big weight drop doesn't always work out. I'm also due for TOM in a day which usually causes a gain. Really pleased to see this loss.
Last month I took measurements because I was just feeling bigger and indeed I was. Took measurements this week and I was down 3 inches in my hips and 4 inches in my waist. Some of that is hard work and some of that is the power of managing my stress. I've been having to pull up my favorite jeans a million times a day lately!10 -

Today's no zero day:
Did a Peloton 30 min endurance run on the treadmill at the hotel
That marks three runs in a week - something I haven't done in years (nor would it have been possible in the same capacity)
Look for the wins no matter what. Build on them and you'll be amazed how far you can go

For some reason I just can't get back into the zone.
I am still working long hours but from February 17th I'm on holiday for a week so there'll be a lot of cycling with my son.

Just finished up at the gym - go me! It's been such a struggle to go since changing jobs & the pandemic. Been focusing on water and eating smaller portions at dinner. Saw a number on the scale this morning I haven't seen in a year which is very exciting. We'll see what the scale says for weigh-in on Sunday. Going out to a fancy breakfast tomorrow and my plan is to focus on eggs and fruit.5

Thank you everyone for your words! I had a perfect day today. When I start spiraling, I can get addicted to sweets, so I have to break that. One day at a time is right!7

@ cleaneater80 I track macros with the myfitnesspal food diary - it gives a breakdown of: calorie content, fats, carbohydrates, protein, sugars and salt when I log each item of food. Then at the end of the day I can see how much I have eaten of each food group. Its really helping me to balance my diet better2

No hockey this week, but I upped my weights for my tabata class so the nice muscle soreness has kicked in. It's a precipitation mess outside so I likely won't get much movement in so I'll have to work extra hard to stay out of the kitchen!
Maybe some sewing projects or knitting can happen.
I had planned on hitting up GT boutique (if you know it, you know it!) for some inexpensive office attire as I'm doing an in-person training course for the next 3 weeks and only have a rotation of 3 outfits at my current size. Walking around a mall might help me get some steps but the convenience of that food court or a maple latte from Second Cup will try to lure me to the dark side... Wish me luck!3 -

@jugar I'm going to hold my weigh in off until tomorrow to see if I can get it down. I am up only 1/10 of a pound, so not worried about it. Just would be nice for it to stay the same or be green.
I haven't logged much this week (Hello Breakfast Club), but my eating has been ok. I have been REALLY hungry a few days and have eaten all the snacks I pack in my lunch for just in case times. This weekend we have the Super Bowl and our EAGLES are in it to win it. Not going to lie, there will be some snacking, but I feel it won't get out of control. I can do this.
No exercise lately. In fact, my pilates subscription expired (due to a breached credit card I cancelled) and I didn't even realize it until the other day. Still spending most nights vegetating in my chair after a busy day at school. Still getting my steps in through the regular activity I get all day.
I meet with my dietician again next week. I've lost a little, but haven't managed the rest of the suggestions.
The weather here is so spring like, so I really should walk after school. Also gearing up to sell my house and start looking for a new one. I need to manifest all my wishes for a home because I REALLY never want to move again. LOL. I just want to feel settled.
Kelly, hope you get some sleep and Mabel is feeling ok. Kristi - Congrats on your loss! You work so hard. Ashley - You are doing great! On vacation and still exercising. You've go this. Liselyn - You work so hard at this, you deserve to forgive yourself for an off day.
Oh and set points are REAL! Along with our bodies fighting hard against us to go back up from which we came. Seems kind of unfair to have our body work against us like that.

I kept up my logging this week, with the exception of Wednesday when I just felt ~very hungry~ so I had an extra snack (protein cereal) to help. It was also TOM for me and I had killer cramps to start the week.
I went to circuit strength training on Tuesday, and then spin class Wednesday morning. Honestly, I love spin in the morning and leaving the studio to see how beautiful my city looks. It just really starts me off on the right foot!
Yesterday was a super busy work day so I went for a walk in the afternoon with my husband and pup, and this morning, I started off with an almost 2 mile walk. I may just go for another long walk as my exercise because it is so nice outside!
Tomorrow morning I have a hot yoga class which is always a workout, and then a spin class dedicated to Super Bowl halftime shows on Sunday. That’ll be 4 days of moderate-to-vigorous exercise which I consider a win. ☺️

I took today off! Jack had a blow out during his morning walk. I was like dang... it's like having a toddler! And I felt self conscious cuz he was walking around the park with a dirty rump 😳. But, we persevered. Thank goodness for an extra blanket in the trunk.
Anyways, I had a decadent dim sum lunch with my brother. My son, wants to go out tonight with me for burgers. The plan is to get a lettuce wrap.
Going to try to create another Stridekick challenge for Sunday.

Not much of a change but am feeling better and have been walking loads, doing HiiT and yoga. Something every day. Next target is to start running and play badminton.2 -
