@MoonlitMuse I have a german shepard and we have so much snow here in Alberta - she loves the cold so I have no excuse not to go out walking.
@micki48 Wow what a week. I can't imagine house shopping and the pressure. Hope the second interview goes well for you son.
I've been stressing and overthinking this week which has led me to snack at night and not make good choices the last 4 days. I gave myself a good talk and got up early to workout which always changes my mood and sets me off in a good direction.
I'm so glad it's March but not finding the weather is changing the way I want it. It's still cold here. At least the days are getting longer and there's more sunlight8 -
@cleaneater80 Yes the amount of snow we have here in Alberta and the severity of the cold that's been sticking around has got me feeling the same!!
I'm happy the 10 day forecast is looking warmer than it was but there's still a long way to go until it starts to feel spring like around here eh?4 -

Do you have stats for Sat March 11 as well so I can get your full week in?
Saturday 11th March - a measly 1328 steps. I barely moved!2 -
@PlaneMonkey "I am inertia" - oh yes! So line up a few videos to work out with. Even if you don't like them, your Tabata class will be back on next week New tag line needed, though. "I am initiative!" (at least once a day?) You go girl!4

Albertans! You have until April 13th to ameliorate that weather problem. I'm coming to visit and hope to ride my horse every day April 14-24, so get on it!5 -
Tuesday is our no weigh-ins day - let's make it one that builds a beautiful Wednesday!1

@jugar Yes, you are so right about our favorite Pilates program. I rejoined for a year. Yesterday I did my first workout in a very long time. I have been doing some of the exercises I learned on my own hoping that my hip would feel better and it has helped (so do NSAIDS). I really enjoyed the breathwork routine after the pilates routine. It really did engergize. Glad I did it.
I actually just finished logging my food so far today. Yay for future me. Taking a break from looking for a house constantly feels great. I did see a cute one "coming soon" that popped into my notifications today. Near my daughter, cute bungalow style I love. We'll see.
There are some wild snowflurries here with big gusts of wind. We took the littles out for a bit but are probably done for the day. It is now nap time, but not really. LOL. Half of our class is out sick and I'm afraid I may have picked up the cough when a little guy coughed right on me when I was bent down zipping his coat. Such is life in PreK.
Still meaning to catch up on everyone's news soon. I'm getting closer to a routine. Hope you are all well.

Happy snow to everyone having some today You know how much I love the stuff... We are somewhat to the north of the worst of it, but snow fell all night and is still lightly coming down. More due tonight. Of course, I am sharing my snow joy in hopes it is infectious for those of you who find it a drag - I'll be out there a lot for the next little while.
@micki48 I'm so glad to hear you are taking some good breaths, some time for yourself, and some measure of quiet. Hit some Simeon Walker on YouTube or just any music source you have, although the videos are beautiful. It is simple music, but I find it a great way to have some moments of calm. https://www.youtube.com/@SimeonWalkerMusic/videos6 -
Day started off well but longer tenure staff member gave his notice today as he got another opportunity. I have been wanting to self-soothe with all the wrong things. I have been feeling on the verge of a series of bad decisions but so far so good.8

Oh boy, that sounds like a tough one! Hang in there - drink a glass of water very, very slowly. Not too cold - can even be warm - but drink it very slowly and enjoy every sip. That can sometimes have an amazing effect, and it slows down those quick actions we regret later. Many hugs to you5 -
It has been a lovely day here - beautiful snow, heavy for snowshoeing but so worth it! We have a worker who has to come to our house tomorrow, and he'll have to walk up, so I packed the trail all nicely for him. Then I wandered around in the wind. I think it blew a few cobwebs away - feels so good.
Wednesday people - get ready for your day

@bobagurl2017
Hope you're feeling better!
Last call for steps for last week (Mar 5-11)
You may not have been feeling well so if I don't hear from you I'll go ahead and post the report in a day or so.
Thanks!
@jugar
Good advice - I did get a bike ride in and I feel a bit better.
Much better than I would have if I'd used ice cream or wine!
Going for that water now. Goodnight!7 -

I'll take it... LOL - I'll be honest, weight loss is not on my mind at all right now.
We had an co-worker pass away at work on Monday, that was a horrible terrible day. He had a massive heart attack, he was only 61.
I will not be weighing in next week, I will be on a boat in the Bahamas...
April will be a great month !6 -

Another small gain. I'm trying not get super frustrated since my original goal weight was 145 and I'm hovering around that mark, but I was really hoping to get down to 140. I've really amped up my exercise and am even averaging around 12,000 steps/day. I just have to trust the process.7 -

I had a good week of tracking food and getting to the gym.
Today I have a lunch meeting at a restaurant and then my book club. I always try to bring something healthy, so today will be fruit and pretzles. If I bring a healthy option, I know there will be one thing I can snack on!7 -
@jugar I'd like to weigh in tomorrow but not have it count (against the team), just set me on the sidelines. I am just hanging in there without a lot of food caution or effort right now. I do say 'no' at times but other times have been 'bring it all on'. At Xmas my 58 yr old brother had some symptoms, doc appts, tests, more tests, more doc appts, he's got a stage 4 aggressive parasinal tumor, lost sight in one eye and now the other. Finally started chemo and feels things have improved a bit but the prognosis is not good. It's devastatingly sad and eclipses any grief for my mum - glad she's not here for this and that my dad blissfully unaware. I'm sticking with you Waistaways though...I'll try again in April/May/June...as long as it takes for me to get back in the groove. Makes me glad to read of snowshoeing, allotments, inertia/initiative, Bahamas, and thinking of spring!8

This is so tough - I agree that it is good that your parents do not have to go through the loss of a child, but that sure puts a lot on your shoulders. Again.
You are moved to the support team, but I hope that means that we support you. Any time you need something, we're here. Virtual hugs in abundance.3 -
Hugs to @eggfreak and @Gidgitgoescrzy .. understandable why weight loss is not top of mind now. Have a good trip to the Bahamas though Vikki!
I have positive momentum this week. As I've stated a few times, I kept feeling on the verge of letting myself soothe with food. However, I've kept making good decisions, drinking water, and most importantly.. MOVING when I feel that way!
I've rode more this week and it feels so good. Tonight's class was on the harder side, and lots of fun!6 -
Where did this day go? I had to go grocery shopping and then trek everything up the hill behind me on the toboggan
Always fun being the sled dog...6
