Eek! Rough beginning to the month. I had some binges this past week as well, so I know how everyone else is feeling.
@MoonlitMuse that is interesting about the 30 different fruits/vegetables/herbs. That is probably one of my weaker areas and for this last week, I am probably only around 10-12 different ones.
@CarolAnnM2 I hope your surgery goes well!
The good news is I have been tracking everything. The good, the bad, the ugly, and the easter candy 😂
I got my steps in today, and enjoyed a nice walk with my hubby after dinner. It was 85F and sunny. A perfect day in my opinion! 🌞5 -
@jugar may I please be moved to support for April? Thank you5

Was a bit of a surprise, then I thought about it, and not really. I've had a lot of caffeine this week because I feel completely exhausted. Not sure whether I'm fighting illness or it's stress/burnout from work - I hope it's the former because I just had two weeks off work! Caffeine in the form of energy drink (every day, too) means I've not drunk much water and I've not slept well; less of it and poor quality. Add in waking up yesterday with an awful cramp in my calf, and I think all signs point to dehydration, though there has also been some snacking on chocolate.
Not looking forward to my dietician appointment later because I feel like I haven't followed through on any of the plans we made last month. That means it's the perfect time for a dietician appointment because she can help me to re-focus.6 -

This is why we're here! Don't feel bad. Legit - most of my follow-ups say this. You've just got to find your 'low hanging fruit' and consistently set yourself up to get it. It's the crushing of those teensy-tiny little habits (that are actually pretty easy to incorporate) that will get the ball rolling and give you the momentum to make bigger changes

Hi everyone. Thursday check in. Things are calming down a bit. Still a lot to do, but many hurdles have been jumped. I think we are pretty good for our closing on the 18th. My son let me know that he received an offer from Continental Tire. So WEW! He has a job again. He is very excited and starts on the 24th. He already has an apartment secured and found out about his first work trip.
Time for me to get some real packing done. We are working on getting a firm date from movers. I have off tomorrow and will use it to pack. I'm guessing my steps will be pretty good in general. When I am that busy, eating is usually pretty good. Just need to remember to keep hydrating.
Waiting to hear how the hip surgery went @CarolAnnM2
@KellyBgetsfit Hugs to you. Check in when you can.
All the binge eaters...STOP. STOP it now. Hope that helps. Just kidding with you. I know it's much harder than that. Hope you all treat yourself well and move forward.
Time to go. Kids are up,6 -

It's been an up and down week for me, I think I'm in danger of slipping into self-sabotage mode as my tracking hasn't been very consistent and my steps are low, but I'm really enjoying weight training and am feeling a lot more body confident at the moment. However, I've started drinking more and letting mindless snacking sneak in, with a mañana mañana attitude. I need to find a way to reaffirm my goals so that I don't start to slip backwards. Today was a lower weight day, but the last few days I've been closer to 150lbs. I'm trying to make peace with a slow (less than half a pound per week average) weight loss, as I can see big visible improvements, and I'm feeling so much stronger, fitter, and healthier. I want to make lifelong habit changes, not just trying to hit a number, then giving up.7 -

@micki48 so glad to hear your son is starting a new job. I've been rooting for him
I'm having a rough week too - can't get out of this rut. I know it won't last for long but it's tough.
I heard about the nasty weather in Ontario/Quebec - hope it gets back to spring weather soon
Have a great weekend all4 -
Hi
I'm Veronica, 64, from Brazil. The last time I posted here was in September/22. I would like to back for April, if possible. I explained why I was absent from the group. I lose some weight in the meanwhile, maybe because other people was putting the food on my plate, now that I am by myself I gained some kg.
After 6 month on bed, I think it is time for doing some moviment, I need to gain muscle mass. I am still wearing robofoot, so I can't do any exercise. but I am tired of doing nothing.
Weigh In Day: Saturday
PW (Previous Weight): 79Kg **
CW (Current Weight): 80,5Kg
** this was in the middle of March
I am in for the Step Challenge, of course I will not walking but I have to do some activity.
Happy Easter to all!!

Well, folks - we're having a rough week. Lots of red numbers in there! Many thoughts are useful, but mostly this one: the red numbers are all about LAST week. Right after weighing in you are working on THIS week. I know it is hard to rein in the slippages - but you can do it!
The good morning intentions - what works to make them last? How to get rid of "mañana mañana"?
Try the good old tried and true "one perfect day" or at least one danged good one. Just one - eat reasonably, move more. That often is enough to break the cycle. I wish everyone the best in the efforts to make the change!9 -

You're right of course - she was completely non-judgemental and top of my 'protocol' for April is to go easy on myself! We have a plan to re-focus Tuesday-Friday next week, kind of like pressing the reset button. I knew this weekend would be challenging due to prior commitments and husband's birthday.6 -
Happy Good Friday everyone ❤️
I'm on this new lifestyle for about 10 days now and boy, it is hard!
I'm always hungry, but drink a lot of water to hopefully fill me up a little 🙄
I have a lovely walk planned with my hubby and I. Nothing better for the soul than nature on sunny day 😍
Have a lovely Friday all ❤️8 -

Hello everybody
My name is Diana, 35, I’m an optometrist by day and a boy mommy every other second 😁
I’ve struggled with my weight pretty much my entire life. Lost a big chunk about 10 years ago and kept most of it off for about 8 years. After having baby boy 17 months ago… have been struggling to get it back off big time!
I should clarify even at my lowest I still had to lose quite a bit, but I just feel like now I’m even further from my goal. I know my life is totally different now, but I’ve just found it so much tougher this time around. I’m just really not enjoying tracking and planning. I got myself a peloton which has been a great investment as I don’t have time to go to a gym, but can workout right after baby falls asleep at night right at home.
Regardless, I’m always optimistic to get to my goal someday.. right now I just need to lose these 16 pounds to get back to prepreggo weight.. any tips or fav meal suggestions would be greatly appreciated 😁

@jugar I'd like to push my weigh in until tomorrow. Some food has not transited out as I had hoped! 😉
We are still without power, but our generator is giving us heat from the pellet stove and entertainment as the tv and internet are still working. We have a gas stove so we can cook on the stovetop and boil water for dishes. I've started using my dishwasher as the drying rack!
We helped a neighbor chop up a few fallen trees yesterday and then I played hockey. I slept 10 hours last night to recover.
This is the main pile of wood we created.
We had power flash back on for a few seconds last night and then go out again because a branch about 10 houses away from us had cut the line and broken the ceramic insulator right off the top of the pole. When I came home from hockey the first half of our street had power and then the trees under where the wire was cut were on fire!
Not the clearest photo.
There was enough snow to catch the embers so it didn't spread.
So now we wait. We are low priority and it's a specialist repair so we will be doing sponge baths and eating pasta for some time still.
I'm doing my best to keep drinking water although it's in limited supply.
I might be adding to the red for the week unfortunately but I'm ok with it given the circumstances. 👌🙂7 -

@jugar please can I have a pass week this week
Also, I have a friend who would like to join the group, is it too late for this month and how would she go about it? Thanks.3 -
This has NOT been a good eating day - only one food was the transgression, but I ate it ALL. I hate it when that happens. You know it is poisoning your body for the day, it is not any kind of a gift to tomorrow self, but you still keep eating it until it is gone. Luckily, it is now gone. That food is now on my list of things not to get at all for a while. I try to avoid complete refusals, but this one has to go. I have not had a binge event like that for a long time, and it surely was not fun. I know there has been a lot of stress lately, but this certainly did not help relive the stress in any way! Luckily, it gave me a thorough pants-kicking, and then I was able to practice, do some stretching, and get ready to plan tomorrow very thoroughly. Sheesh.
SO - I hope you are all doing OK! Let's find good ways to deal with stuff together.6 -
@PlaneMonkey I hope your power is back on - those photos are amazing, but it sure looks like you have had quite a time of it!

Greetings from a little farmhouse apartment in the woods outside Haliburton, Ontario!
@jugar @PlaneMonkey My brother and his fiancee live in Montreal so I was hearing a bit about your crazy weather and power issues.. I've never been in a period of prolonged power outage so I can't imagine what that would be like
@micki48 YAY! Congrats to your son. This must be such a huge relief for you.
We are here in Ontario until Monday. We haven't seen Brad's Mom since Thanksgiving and she had a health scare early this year, so it's great catching up. We also are seeing a bunch of his other family that we haven't seen in a while. It's been nice.
I forgot my travel scale, so unlike me. But then again, sorta par for the course in my less disciplined mind right now. Steps are always low on these trips because we are sitting visiting with his elderly mother. I could make a better plan, but I usually fail to here.
Hope everyone has a great Easter weekend!6 -

Thanks @jugar
I will admit I struggle with getting my veggies in… unless it’s salad, zucchini, broccoli or corn.. I don’t like it, but I need to remind myself I can just rotate those I do like frequently. I always feel like I need to be trying something new or making something new and when I don’tI get upset and then buy something out! Double whammy bad6 -

Wow I’m honestly amazed at this change as I did not expect it. I have managed to go to the gym a few times this week. I am also trying to manage my food intake but it’s so hard with the kids being home plus the tons of Easter eggs available.
I had to sell my rowing machine after I got it. I realised I didn’t do my research well and it’s always best to go for the air rower even though they cost more. I got one that uses resistance ropes and I couldn’t even adjust the resistance.
I have substituted it for an assault bike and I will replace the rowing machine with a better one next week🤞🏻7
