About me:
Married with 3 children...youngest is 2. (+stress)
Navy veteran so I'm familiar with exercise. We just haven't been seeing eye-to-eye lately
Currently in Nursing school and on track to finish next May (+stress)
Highest weight ever is 275 and I reached it again recently...I'm now down to about 269. My goal is under 200.
Obesity and hypertension is prevalent in African Americans like myself and I recently got my BP taken and it was 146/103...it was also a day before finals (+stress)
I got this...we got this.

Welcome home my friend1 -

I'm 56 years old and have yoyoed for years. Anywhere from 290 lbs down to 225. I'm looking to make a permanent lifestyle change. I weighed in at 252.2 today after a big walk with the dog. I have a few medical tests this week, but it should work out.
Anyway, I'm glad to be here and wish everyone good luck on their journeys. Thanks in advance for the support.
Regards,
Mike

Weigh-in day: Monday 5/29
Previous weight: 298.2
Current weight: 297.3 (-.9)
This is achievement of a mini-goal for me. I've now lost 10% of my starting weight. Much more to go, but slow and steady wins the race, right??4 -

Hi I'm Ray from London UK. I have Type 2 for over a year now, though my symptoms are a lot better these day and rarely use medicine. But it is a full time job to stay on top, I'm unfit and struggle even walking at times, well like 50 yards at times. I was a Boxer and in The Army and Boxed for the Army, though you wouldn't think it now. I'm 56 years old.
I weigh 239 lbs My highest is 259.5 lbs but when I started MFP I was maybe 30 pounds lighter, go figure.
I have been refocusing my myself and over the last couple of weeks and trying to get things up and running but it's hard so the June Challenge is perfect timing for me.2 -

Question for @Megan_smartiepants1970 or other admins. I just joined this group at the beginning of May. Do I need to sign up again for June, or do I just keep going with this group?
Thank you!1 -

No you do not need to sign up again ...the only time you would need to sign up again is if you leave the group for some time2 -

Hi, from the UK. you are not doing as bad as you think with Blood Pressure, I recorded a 197/96 over the weekend. Though I was a bit ill last week and ran out of BP medicine the last 2 weeks.
What I have found in the past walking lowers BP if done regularly. We can do it.2
