Hi this is Megan's daughter Alyssa, wanted to let you know mom is in the hospital, her leg swelled up like a balloon, cast was tight and her foot hurt. She is going in for an emergency surgery, the rod in her leg is cracked. She will be here until Monday

    I'm praying for her healing.

    Weigh-in Day
    PW: 217.00
    CW: 218.00

Neither happy or sad with change in weight this week.
I've been focusing on using the gym at our apartment and planning for a January Kickoff...with sensible, realistic and SMART goals!

Today makes 7 days straight of exercising (20 to 30 minutes of weight lifting and 20 to 30 minutes of bike and/or treadmill). Then by January 3 - I need to add core strengthening to the routine and I will be whole (as far as exercise goes)

Late answer to fitness routine question:
On other board - a lady talked about swinging kettlebells and had a major transformation with them. I had some sitting around (now they are in storage) but I'd like to give this routine a try.

Now to work on my eating plan. I know I need low carb. Leaning heavily towards IF (16:8) and low carb eating and trying to incorporate more veggie meals.

@iLive2Walk Those are some amazing steps! It's hard to get the steps in when you're working. I look forward to retirement!

    Step Challenge - Goal 8,500

    12/10 ~ 7,922
    12/11 ~ 8,647
    12/12 ~ 6,772
    12/13 ~ 8,077
    12/14 ~ 7,720
    12/15 ~
    12/16

7 straight days of exercise is an awesome accomplishment and a dope foundation for what you want to accomplish with the new year. You are killin it.

@itladyee Thank you! I have really been working on my step goal this year. It is my main exercise. Retirement was the best decision I ever made, for both my mental and physical health. I highly recommend it when you can!

Inspired by everyone continuing to push through this time of year! I’m having a difficult time staying on track but taking it day by day. Hope you’re all enjoying the season🎄

Today marks the start of celebrations. My goal is to try to hold even. Take it minute by minute if you have to. Even with the holiday season you had a loss. Well done.

    Steps: 5,083
    Rings:✔️
    Daily walk:✔️

I am happy I made all three goals yesterday. I will get my steps today and will get my rings closed but I won’t get my walking done. Today the nausea is not too bad and the abdominal pain has eased off immensely. I ate better yesterday and it felt good. We are going to the Keg to eat tonight. We are celebrating my granddaughters 18th birthday. I have a plan for the restaurant and looked up the calories for what I want. I have entered it in my diary. I am sure I will end up taking part of my meal home. Now I just have to stick to it.

    Have a relaxing Sunday!

My week has been very stressful. It seemed whenever I tried to get on here to update something happened. I am learning that snacking is my biggest down fall. My workouts and steps are good. My food choices are good. I am eating to many and I am eating snacks.

Snacking can really sneak in extra calories. One thing I learned when I was in therapy for my binge eating was to make a list of 20 things to do instead of snacking. You attach the list to the fridge or a cupboard. It might be worth giving it a try. Try snacking on fruits or veggies. One thing I also do is compare the calories in a “bad” snack to a healthy one. I could eat 3.5 medium apples for the calories in a single size bag of potato chips. Ask people for the strategies they use and take the ones you like.

    Your exercise is amazing!
