HOW IT ALL WORKS: The June challenge runs for four weeks, from June 2 - 29.
Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win, and may everyone else get to work on next week!
We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every single week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leaderboard. In March we are aiming for every team to hit 50% green every week - let's do this!
To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):
If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you want a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or can be moved to the Support Team for as long as you need. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally. Don't worry! You can always come back even if you get dropped.
Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone. You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team.
In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.
Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love Introduce or re-introduce yourselves right away, and let's get June on the road!

Hello…my goals for the month are:
•walk 3-5 miles every other day
•eat healthy
•incorporate light weight training
•stay active5 -
Hello again, I'm not sure how many members are going to be new for June, and how many are continuing members. So, to sum up myself, My name is Lisa, I'm new here to this challenge and hoping to kick butt each week. Lol.
My mom decided to join this challenge with me. Always nice to have a workout buddy. I try to walk 3 miles every other day, sometimes I go above and beyond and almost 💀 myself and my mom doing 4/5 miles.
I try to eat better than I have in the past, as well as stick to my calorie intake goal with myfitnesspal. So far all is going well. 🤞
My weigh-in day will be Fridays.
My highest weight: 373lbs
My current weight: 329.8lbs
My short-term goal: 300/285lbs
My long-term goal: 220lbs6 -

Reminder for tomorrow: @865jessica @Digger61 @gemwolf110 @tammymccrady6278
Hi Everyone!
I'm Kathy, I'm Mission Slimpossibles Co-Captain along with the incredible @trooworld. We have @19shmoo69 as our entertaining motivator. I'm 52 and live in the Sacramento area in CA with my two cats and my roommate. I'm working in the office at a holistic health wellness center, file claims, then volunteer as secretary of a local charity, at the food bank farm, and with my neighborhood HOA and garden club. I've lost about 75lbs and was bedridden for a few decades, now I'm battling CRPS and spinal and nerve issues the best I can. You can find me in the garden, at the farm, with my nose in a book, or rockin out at metal concerts. I've been doing chair cardio, weights, and stretching each morning and am starting a new ab challenge tomorrow.
If you have any weigh-in questions I'm your gal! I'm logging all the weights. If you're out-of-town and can't weigh in please let me know so you aren't dropped from the group and we can either put your last weigh-in or have you weigh early. I'm happy you're here, let's have a great June!5 -

Well I seen this coming. So I can’t be depressed about it. The snacks this week have been horrible. Plus no tracking of my food. Starting over this week I hope. Not even sure why I’m doing it. Just soooo easy to slip into old habits. I thought I was over it but guess not.
Thanks for the kind words and yes my flowers are pretty and the rose bush I planted has lots of blooms. I’m so excited for that as I have never attempted to grow then before. I will post some picks later and show my hard work. Plus I’m seeing tons of puppy pics so I will show you my fur babies too. I’m loving the new job and am adjusting to the different shifts but I have decided I prefer either days or nights. The 3 to 11 shift not so much. It’s not the job it’s the fact I’m not home in the evenings with Sean. Plus you just into a chore of some sort and then you have to stop and get ready for work. I’m this shift all weekend
Well I’m goin to go sit on the deck and enjoy my coffee so have a great day guys and thank you so much for being my support system.

Hello! I am Teresa, and I have been a member of this awesome group for a long time! I did take over a year off due to my husband’s cancer/dementia issues, which wrecked my world and my 80 lb. weight loss. After adjusting to my new existence at home and accepting my weight gain, I returned this year with the hope of getting my act together. I’m still hoping to lose weight, but hey, I’m not gaining any more, so that is great! I’m 58 years old, and along with living with my husband, I live with my mom, sister, and little fur baby, Maggie Mae. I work for my church as their administrative assistant and am fortunate to have a flexible schedule to do mostly from home. My current weight loss approach is intermittent fasting and low-carb eating. I enjoy exercise and love my rebounder and lifting weights. Let’s have an awesome June!!
@tammymccrady6278 It is so easy to slip into old habits. I do it all the time, and it’s always so frustrating. I used to hate working the 3-11 shift, too. You are always watching the clock during the day, waiting to go to work. Can you get a different shift that will work better for you?
@megnolia82 Yayyy I am so happy that you had a great time at the gala! How wonderful that you have so many co-workers who are true friends.
Happy New Month!! I love a new month because it’s a fresh start. I’ve only lost 6.4 lbs this year, so I'm not where I want to be, but I guess that happens when you don’t really do the needed work to get there. Sooo annoying! Anyway, it is what it is, and I only have the here and now. The only stumbling block this month is tomorrow, when we have the big church potluck. But it is after service so I plan to fast until then and will eat nothing afterward. I’m also going to get a really good workout this morning and will work this afternoon with my sister to set up the fellowship room for the event tomorrow. You all have a wonderful day!

Hi everyone! A big welcome to the new team members, and welcome back to the returning members, I am so glad you are here!

CHANGES TO YOUR WEIGH-IN DAY/WEIGHTS
If you have any changes to your weigh-in day or reported weights, be sure to tag @Katmary71 who handles all of that stuff. She also handles moving people to cheerleader status/or other status changes.
LET'S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER
Please share a little bit about you: your name, where you live, and what brought you to the Fat2Fit Challenge Group. Also share anything else you would like to, including any goals for the year. We are here to support and cheer you as you go through your weight loss adventure!
MY INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone. My name is Chris. I live in Southern California with my husband, cute one-eyed pirate pug named Daisy (8 yrs old) and pug pup name Violet who is going to be 2 yrs old this month. Up until my mid-20s, I was a healthy weight but then the mid-20s hit and along with that came medications that made me gain weight as well as poor lifestyle choices. For exercise, I like to walk with my husband and friends, however I have been suffering with both plantar fasciitis and heel fat pad syndrome since last fall and it’s really painful to walk BUT thanks to a CHIROPRACTOR, my foot is getting better and I've been able to go out and walk a bit!
I have about 65 lbs to lose. My hobbies: reading, making artwork and crafts, photography, and cooking. I do straight-up calorie counting of healthy foods with MFP Premium. I am in the process of qualifying for bariatric surgery. I've done a lot of research on it and I feel like it's the right path for me.
Now, it's your turn! Tell us about YOU!6 -
I invite you to join me on a quest for a NO ZERO DAYS 2024! What is No Zero Days? There are 4 simple ideas behind this:
There are no more zero days. A zero day is when you don’t do anything towards your goals. But that doesn’t mean you have to go full-throttle on your goals each day, no, just do something small if you have to, do a single push-up, walk to the mailbox, drink one less soda…anything not to report a zero day. Do one thing to make your life better each day.
Be grateful to the 3 YOUs: the past you, the present you, and the future you! Be GRATEFUL to the past you for the positive things you’ve done. Did you do that push-up yesterday? THANK YOU YOUNGER ME. Second part of the 3 me’s is you gotta do your future self a favor, just like you would for your best friend. Tired and can’t get off reddit/videogames/interwebs? This one’s for future me, i’m gonna rock out p90x Ab Ripper X for 17 minutes. I’m doing this one for future me. Alarm clock goes off and bed is too comfy? This one’s for my best friend, the future me. I’m up and going for a 5 km run (or 25 meter run, it’s gotta be non zero). MAKE SURE YOU THANK YOUR OLD SELF for rocking out at the end of every.single.thing. that makes your life better. The cycle of doing something for someone else (future you) and thanking someone for the good in your life (past you) is key to building gratitude and productivity.
FORGIVE YOURSELF. Tried your best to have a nonzero day yesterday and it failed? so what. I forgive you previous self. I forgive you. But today? Today is a nonzero masterpiece to the best of my ability for future self.
Exercise and books: exercise is self-explanatory but the books, read a self-improvement book…reading gets you to the next level!
Here’s more detailed information and where I got the above info:

I posted this in the May discussion like a nerd so I am re-posting it here. Sorry for the double-post!
@AustinRuadhain How'd your plan for yesterday turn out? Looks like it would have been a full day. Awww, that's a cute story about your husband asking you out twice! I love it.
@txcritter69 Wow, 28 years! That's awesome! Thanks. You did great in May, you should be proud of yourself.
@DrewsAnna Do you use Chrome? I use Chrome so I can only speak for that, but what I do is I created a tab group. I will paste the instructions below. That way, it's always there. And if you right click over your tab group, you have the option to save it which puts a link to the tab group on the favorites bar in your Chrome browser. It's really easy to do. Let me know if you have questions. https://www.google.com/chrome/tips/
@megnolia82 I'm so glad you had a great time and felt beautiful, that's what you deserve!
@gemwolf110 @865jessica Congrats on the losses!
@maryirisfroehlich Great goals!
@lislisa123 Yes, having a workout buddy is great! That's awesome that you walk so much. Congrats on your success so far.
@tammymccrady6278 I'm sorry about the gain but at least you know why it happened. It's still frustrating though, isn't it? I'm glad you are loving the new job. I look forward to your pet pictures!
Hi all. I took more migraine medication and that took away the migraine so I was able to function the rest of the day. BUT...I took my car to the dealership for routine maintenance and they found that a rat had made a nest under my hood and chewed through the ignition hose! It was a disgusting mess and cost me over $500! Then, I had to take poor Daisy to the vet and that cost another $100. So, expensive day for me that I wasn't prepared for. Ugh. I was deflated after that so I ate leftover pasta salad for dinner. Today, I have to get groceries and then a chiropractor appt and then I have to work for about 3-4 hours.

My phrase for the year: "New year, new me!"6 -
Good morning Team Mission Slimpossible!!!!!!
How is everybody?
Today I'm using the name
Rupert Vandercloosinhopper.
@Katmary71 said I'm the entertaining motivator. I found that odd. Last month she introduced me as her friend now I'm just entertaining. Sigh. Maybe next month I'll be her friend again. 😜
A little about myself. I may be the "motivator" but I have very little confidence.
Thursdays I usually have what is titled the Ice Breaker Question. There's no obligation to answer it but it would be kinda Kool to hear your answer.
I pray for all of you from time to time.
Have a blessed day!3 -
Good morning, happy June and happy Pride!
My name is Meg, I’m 42. I’m a full time teacher, and I live on a farm with my 2 kids, husband, dogs, cows and an assortment of aquatic creatures.
This month I aim to keep up all the good habits I’ve developed over the last month. Although my weight loss was small, it was a persistent downward trend and I think my eating and exercise choices were sustainable.
My highest weight was 228. Trying to manage stress in my life is a big factor in trying to manage my weight. I don’t have any stressors that are bigger or worse than anyone else, just regular life events. But I have never really developed a healthy way to deal with stress so it’s caused me some health trouble and of course weight gain.
Of course I have an ideal body in mind but honestly, I’ve begun to realize this is not a weight journey but a journey towards balance in my life. I’m enjoying the ride and glad to share it with you all!4 -
Good morning!
@19shmoo69 - Good morning! Thank you for the ice breaker questions! Your recent one had me think mf my first date with my husband, which was a treat!
@trooworld - I am writing from a page pulled up from a saved set of tabs! The Edge browser does that, too. Hurray for the migraine going away. I am sorry to hear about your expensive day.
Thanks for the no zero days reminder!
Rats can be expensive. Odd rat-related story: We have backyard chickens. One day last week, the door to the run got left open during the day. At the end of the day, as I checked on the chickens, I opened the coop door and found a rat snake in the coop. She was quite shy, and very sad to have been found. We pulled her out and set her free nearby, because this variety of snake is shy and not venomous, and they really do eat rats.
@TeresaW2024 - Hurray for holding steady! I so sympathize with having life interrupt weight loss. It sounds like you have a great plan for the big church potluck. I hope that goes well!
@tammymccrady6278 - Hurray for restarting tracking! I had a trainer that used to say that with regards to your fitness, you were always getting better or getting worse. I was really mad when she said it and wanted to disagree, but it seems to be true. So here's to getting better this month!
@lislisa123 - Those are some impressive numbers for walking! It's great that your mom can be your workout partner!
@maryirisfroehlich - I love your goals!
A couple of pictures:
- The backyard chickens! I adore them, especially the two silver ones, as I rescued them from lameness when they were chicks. (Breeder or feed store let them get cold, which affected their development. I spent 2 weeks working to turn that around. Now they think I am mom, or another chicken.
- Our newest cat, a rescue. He's the sweetest, cuddliest guy.

Hello, I weighed in on the other thread for Friday. This week I'm home for work and pretty simple. Daughter shared her chest cold so trying to keep eating well while feeling horrid.
Next week I do have a trip planned and will be away for my Weigh in day. We are leaving early Wednesday and will be back late Friday so will probably weigh in Saturday instead of Friday that week. Expecting 2 days of 20-30k steps at the kings dominion and busch Gardens VA so should be fun at least.4 -

@trooworld Can you tell me how many days a week we have to check in with the group? I'm not on every day and I just want to make sure I don't get kicked out for not coming on enough according to the rules of your group. Are you expecting everyone to come on two days a week, three days a week, or more?1

@AustinRuadhain Thank you, cute cat by the way. I love cats. 😸0

Happy first day of June to all my Mission Slimpossibles teammates!
My name is Mica, and I'm one of the maintainiacs of the group. I've been maintaining for about 20 years, with a few blips along the way. My highest weight was 220 lbs, my current weight is 128.3 lbs. My goal range is 127-133, center weight 130. At 68 years old, I am semi-retired. I work as a bookkeeper at a plastics factory 3 days a week. I walk everyday, with a step goal of 14K. I commute to and from work on a bicycle, weather permitting. I do a strength training workout every morning, and I track all my food: every bite, lick and taste. I've been with this group for about 3 or 4 years. I joined for the weekly challenges and for the accountability. Maintaining is so much easier when you're doing it with your tribe.
I'm posting a couple of pictures; I apologize if they end up looking huge!
This is me:
This is my fabulous cat, Earl:

I know you asked @trooworld but I thought I would provide an answer. Technically you only have to provide your weekly weigh in. So don't think that you'll be kicked out if you can only pop in that one day. There are a few that do that. Just provide the weigh in by Saturday. It helps the people with the paperwork behind the scenes. Which is not me. They keep me around because I drink coffee, I'm odd, and I drink coffee.5 -

Please get your weigh-ins in by the end of tonight for those of you still needing to report, I'm going to delete the May spreadsheet from my taskbar tomorrow morning to make room for the June one so let's rock this next month!3 -
@maryirisfrohlich Those are great goals, you got this!
@lisalisa123 We do intros every month, you'd be surprised about what you learn even with people I've known from the beginning 5 years ago doing the intros each month. I think there's 5-6 new members right now. Love you and your Mom doing this together!
@AustinRuadhain Glad to see you back! You get that goal you got this!
@gemwolf110 Your Pups are so beautiful!
@865jessica Love the goals!
@tammymccrady6278 I'm looking forward to all the pics! Enjoy the time on the deck with your coffee.
@TeresaW2024 Happy June! Good luck with the potluck, I didn't do so well at the garden club potluck as there were baked goods with garden hauls (I made egg muffins with stuff from my yard but only had 1 as they were popular). Good plan to fast around the potluck!
@trooworld Oh no on the rat mess, yuck! Hugs that's a tough one, there's nothing you did wrong and came out of nowhere. Hope the chiropractor appointment goes well!
@19shmoo69 Silly you have me worried about what I use to describe you since you call me on it! You're still my friend. I figured since you've been joking around this week entertaining was a good fit because you add a lot of fun to the group so that was supposed to be a compliment. Thank you, you have a blessed day too!
@megnolia82 I feel the same about trying to find balance plus acceptance that I don't need to be perfect since that will never happen. Eating is stress relief for me too.
@AustinRuadhain Pretty chickens and kitty! Your cat has a “Whatchoo talkin about Willis” look! You may be too young to know what I'm talking about. My brother just gave away his chickens as they were attracting rats.
@sunflowerhippi I got your weigh-in, thanks! Oh no hope you and Viv feel better! No worries on the weigh-in thanks for letting me know.
@micaroo4 You look great, your face radiates health. Love the kitty and had to laugh at the hubby not knowing he was being photographed! Love your interior!5 -
@Katmary71 I know we are friends. I was just funnin'. Since the mass exodus to lose it, I am trying to be more engaging and cause trouble. Wait am I allowed to do that?4
-
@AustinRaudhain good for you for getting back on track! Looks like you have a really solid plan!
@sunflowerhippi congrats on the loss!
@TeresaW2024 the fat shaming that used to go on and was acceptable was horrible! I really do appreciate the turn that my kids generation is taking, "you are who you are and you are good enough." Spin class is hard, but fun :-). Because I have been so inconsistent over the last few months, I feel like I am dying🤣. Your workout sounds brutal! My brother is 64 and he says with every year, the hair is being pulled down by gravity from the top of his head and escaping through his back, nose and ears 🤣. Love the quote! I love your story with Joe.
@trooworld thanks for the encouragement with Ty! I am so sorry that you are suffering with migraines again, hopefully they will end soon!! That is hilarious I felt trying to impress your future sister-in-law and brother-in-law, nothing worse than buns gone wrong lol! The only time I tried to make buns, by then husband said they were like hockey pucks and unfortunately it was true lol. Is Daisy OK?? I am sorry it ended up being such an expensive day for you!
@txcritter69 I am so sorry about the clothes situation., I feel your pain. Sounds like you have great plans in place for the month coming up!
@megnolia82 i'm so glad that the gala was fabulous! It sounds like you had such a good time with your coworkers!
Yesterday was a great day. I took my grandkids to see the Garfield movie, we had a popcorn supper, it was really great! I must admit that sometimes when I take my grandkids to a movie, I might have a little snooze 🤣. This was a very entertaining movie though. After the grandkids left today it was a runaround day today and I wasn't very successful. Trying to get some tomato plants (I know some of you are already harvesting your tomatoes😳), I couldn't find the tomato plants I wanted. I was able to get a few other things so hopefully I can get my planting completed tomorrow. Hope everybody had a great day4 -

@19shmoo69 Thanks for answering my question. I will try to post a couple times a week.2

Hi everyone,
My name is Anna. I am the mother of 4 adult children and have been married for 13 years. I have my best buddy, Chipper, who you'll get to know. I also have 2 adult feral cats and 4 kittens who are rambunctious and so very cute.
My goals for June are simple. Reach my step goal of 7,000 steps a day. I started the Ab challenge and I started a monthly workout plan on my "Walk at Home" app. And, log all of my food. My biggest problem is giving up half way through' so I need to clear my head and stay focused, as I'm easily distracted and have a short span of attention.
Anyway, I have to go for now, hubby is patiently waiting for me to get off the computer. TTYL.....5 -
@19shmoo69 - Hello Rupert. I like regular coffee drinking you. but I'm also enjoying your new trouble maker persona.
I'm Lisa:
I live in FL

On the struggle bus- lost 4 pounds so far this YEAR.
Married- 32 years
2 adult kids- living at home
Dog- Gus
Been in this group for about 3 years. Struggled with weight my whole life.
