ya know, I don't get it. `My food has been weighed, measured, and way under my calories. Every single day. Sure, I haven't exercised because I have been on my feet 5 days of the week between my job and volunteer job.
My therapist is suggesting I stop weighing completely... I am not ready yet but for goodness sake I feel so disheartened. Someone my size shouldn't be losing less than 1lb in her second week.
Maybe I'm just being hard on myself- at least I am down rather than up I guess4 -

Be patient ... You got this ... take it one day at a time ... losing weight isn't easy...you had a fantastic loss last week ... give yourself some grace... your weight will be up and down

I donโt know if you ever watched the biggest loser when it was on. Most of the contestants had a great loss the first week but the second was either a small loss or a gain. I canโt remember my second weigh in as it was over 5 years but I am going to have a peak tomorrow. Hang in there. Keep on measuring food and get some exercise if you are not too tired. You will see losses. Donโt let this weigh in ruin the momentum you have going. Remember weight loss isnโt linear.

Back to it yesterday. I am so excited. We just booked a last minute trip to Hawaii - leave next Sunday for nine days. We are taking my daughter to the airport and said "why not take a trip since we are already there." We have so many frequent flyer miles from when Greg was working (he traveled a lot) and we haven't used them. Got a great deal for a condo on Oahu. We are doing it on the cheap - will eat a few meals in (we have a full kitchen) and just using it as a get away - spend it on the beautiful beaches. We have already been, so don't need the expensive sight seeing adventures. I hope to get in a few hikes if my knee will take it - so many places to do that. I will be checking in (I need it to be accountable)! The complex has a gym - so still expect to be able to workout - but don't know if there wil be a bathroom scale so proably won't weigh in. This will be a tough one for me - I am a bathroom scale junkie! If I can convince hubby - I may stick ours in the luggage - LOL!

I am sorry this is not best news for my Monday morning either. I worked my butt off this past week. I fasted 3 times last week, I limited my portions, I was moving a lot but didn't hit all my step goals. Last night was at a birthday party and had a piece of cake, you think that screwed up all my hard work? You guys, I am just not sure what's going on with my body but I am soooo tired on top of having trouble with this. Like I am hungry and tired. This week will be better though. I am hopeful that maybe I will get back on track. I really wanted to hit my July 1 goal, I am not sure what else to do at this point. Have a fabulous week my friends.6 -

Do you enjoy Christmas parties or Halloween parties ?
I have a friend that hosts a Halloween party every year. We go sometimes... I don't like having to put together a "costume".
@iLive2Walk ~ It totally depends on my mood for Halloween. I do enjoy the little ones, I'd say maybe 6 and under. I don't enjoy the teenagers who come by with pillow cases for candy collection. I, too, have been known to pretend not to be home or go somewhere so that I'm not home.

Nice day yesterday, did some research - got some ideas for our trip. Got in a small walk, laundry done, workout done, and then Monday night Bingo with Mom. I won - ha! Split it three ways - $17 (I spend $25). I won't see her for two Mondays. I resisted all the goodies - the vacation above must be a good motivator!

I like them both. Love the outdoors for my walks, much better than the treadmill. But I strength train every other day and wouldn't want to do that outside. Prefer dumbells over a shovel any day of the week!

Feeling good. The cortizone shot worked. I still wake up with a little pain and stiffness, but it goes away during the day. Met my 5.5 mile goal (that's the amount you need per day for 2024 in 2024). The Nutrisystem experiment was also a good one for me. I have three days left of food, and then back to making my own. What I've learned is that my deficit calculation was off - I'm going to stick to the 1300 calorie range that I consumed with NS and see if that works for me. It will be tough next week while I am away but will do that when I return.
