Not a 7-11 foodie here. I do stop by one occasionally to gas up the car. Ours are usually convenience stores with attached gas station. My downfall happens right inside my own kitchen!

They are convenience stores around here too. Some with gas stations. Some without. Corporate have more "hot food" than non corporate. All have the sandwich and donut displays. Pushing the mojo/fried chicken angle these days in a surprisingly not terrible way. Their pizza remains a waste of calories. Another option these days if willing to spend 500 cal are the noodle bowls that they all have. with the usual caveats re noodle bowls. My downfalls are equal opportunity  But usually involve not stopping

Tomorrow. I'm attempting a breakfast scramble:

Small amounts of onion, orange pepper and mushroom, with an egg, some finely chopped up ham and cheese.

Onion and pepper I would normally consider as more likely to be lively in the tummy 🧐 glad you're feeling up to experiments!

Well, I called an audible. My youngest came to the gym with me, then we hit coffee and trader Joe's, so I am eating a chicken/Cheddar sausage with peppers and onions instead

One hard boiled egg, plain Greek yogurt, one cup berries- and a multi vitamin.

What I’d like to have is big bowl 🍚 of cheese grits or biscuits and sausage gravy. Mercifully I am too lazy to make that!

One slice bread (31g) with <cough cough> 31g cadbury mini eggs! But only half the filling fit into the sandwich!!!! :scream:

Oh... and then 20g of spicy chili peanuts... plus a jar of coffee, black!

3h 10 min sleep may have something to do with it.

Nooooooo - chili peanuts and black coffee ☕️ OK - but candy sandwiches? And have those Cadbury eggs been lying around since the after-Easter sales? White bread and stale chocolates!

Who said stale?!?!?!? Buy three kinds of err cadbury type thingies and get $3 off  and then sale on buy two. So minimum buy would be six to get sale + $6... err I think, maybe

Breakfast was a bowl of full fat Greek yoghurt with strawberries & almonds. Delish! But my pot of tea is undrunk - still tasting metallic. 🤨

1 egg, 2 whites, 2 slices of fairly lean center Cut bacon, diced and sauteed with some mushrooms, peppers and onion. Added some lite cheese for a nice scramble.

if you made it in a puck it could have been an almost egg mcmuffin :) Heck if you made it into a muffin tin you could make it into an egg bite... oh the options!

It was a pretty big scramble, with everything. Wouldn't fit on a muffin or be a muffin, but maybe a frittata.

Went out for brunch with my youngest after the gym. Had scrambled eggs, ham and some seasoned/pan-fried potatoes

I'm sure everyone appreciates my willingness to take one for the team?🤯

I can assure everyone that stocking up on kit kat and coffee crisp "pops" is NOT a good Caloric containment strategy though it may work wonders if someone is trying to gain some weight in a hurry?

Small, easy to consume, come in 170g "serving bags'🤯 which would be like 4 candy bars ...

I think there are some downsides there....

(Oh: not great for breakfast.... well for a CONTAINED breakfast!)🤔

Lol, my 1st strategy was there are no rules beyond stop at enough maintenance cals for the day. This meant if i only wanted to eat m&ms, so be it. One sitting or spread across day, no matter. Anything better, healthier than that is bonus.

Actually, this remains my 1 and only red line rule, except rare occasion feast days which are not tracked.

    yes.

But problem is that rules tend to loosen over time especially when things are going OK.

But... when the candy category exceeds the TDEE of many people on the site there are two options: going over or going hungry... unless you're a rare bird who can fill up on candy bars which COULD happen... but only if nappy time dovetails to perfection...

So. What are the chances of picking door #1 as opposed to going hungry when there is no pressure to lose or sign of regain, YET?

Of course throw in a couple of days of being 1000+ Cal over maintenance... and the YET is about to change!

Morning! Finally having a lovely sunny weekend in North UK…

Think I’m taking a second …..for the team of course….

Rules certainly loose here….Not been following my lesser carbs to sort out blood sugars …

Example …huge almond croissant for breakfast out yesterday…..could have / should have gone for a healthier alternative…whopping 600 kcals estimated… for a piece of PASTRY? 😳 …. Not withstanding the creamy, velvety hot chocolate on the side 🤪

My scheduled weigh in day tomorrow will be the wake up call here!

Breakfast today was grilled sweet potatoes, sautéed zucchini, half an avocado, and 2 over easy eggs.

Rest of the week will be 2 hardboiled eggs.

600Cal with sriracha. Just over with black coffee! 215g mixed veg, 148g eggs, 18.4g garlic & herb cheese, 50g sourdough. Egg, veg, cheese, some of bread all nuked together... Dog got another egg with 25g slice of bread split in two! Had to trade for microwave access🤯

    Very delicious looking though!

My breakfast on the road was instant oatmeal made in a Cardboard cup of boiling water provided to me by the nice people at Tim Hortons when I bought a tea and milk and a slice of cheese for the pup. Not healthy because it was Three pouches of instant oatmeal one plain one apple and spice and one maple and brown sugar… So too much sugar all and all - but better than the other options that were tempting me 🙂

3 chicken meatballs chopped up fine, red and orange peppers, onion, marinara, parmesan and a pack of noodle revolution noodles
