Hi all, it is unfortunate for me to say this but I have been going back and forth on staying on MFP or going for a couple weeks now, and I have made the decision to leave. It has been great working with all of you for ALMOST 3 years!! and I have been with MFP since 2013!
The news feed going away really got to me and I lost my streak and my motivation. It wasn't the best thing this app decided to do and therefore I am going to move on with my life. I miss scrolling through the news feed and feeling like I was part of a family. I just don't feel it with the group alone. You are all wonderful and great but I don't feel I have the support like I did in scrolling and comments alone. I believe things happen for a reason. So I am going to continue mentally making healthy good choices and exercising daily I am just not going to "obsess" over it. Anyway, I am getting emotional. I hope you all have a great journey in this life and best of luck to each and every one of you! 2024 is going to be the year, we all got this!! Much love. xoxo
Sorry to see you go... wishing you the very best

I have a follow-up appointment for my knee this morning - eager to see what will happen next. Still have some pain - the PT says it is related to the bursae. From what I read on the internet - just rest and pain relievers. I don't really want to take any more NSAIDs and I think the walks actually seem to help not hurt - so hope she doesn't put me back to no walks!

@lindamtuck2018 Fantastic loss. Good for you.
@itlaydee Chips are my downfall too - anything salty. How is the unpacking going?
QOTD: What is everyone's birthstone?
My birthstone is Peridot - August - A yellowish green to greenish yellow variety of the mineral olivine, peridot is known for its lime or olive-green color. It's associated with healing, protection, and light, and is said to bring power and influence to the wearer. But according to AI, August actually has multiple birthstones, including peridot, spinel, and sardonyx. I'm guessing some "influential" people didn't like the peridot so they picked something else! LOL!2 -

Today my pain is bad. Started last night. The last three days caught up to me. I would go to urgent care but I don’t want to be around all the sick people. I don’t want to take a chance on picking up a virus before my surgery and it getting canceled. They can’t do much for nerve pain anyway. I am going to be wearing a mask if I have to go anywhere. Now I have to find where I put them all.
Have a great day!1 -

Hello Everyone!
It's been a while! I'm currently sick with Covid and just popped by to say hello!
I'm still maintaining my weight loss, and will be starting Half Marathon training in a week.
It's nice to see some familiar faces. Anyways, keep up the good fight!2 -

@lindamtuck2018 Sorry to hear that you are in pain. Your surgery can't come soon enough. Agree, take care of yourself as much as you can so there can be no more delays. Hugs to you.0

My follow-up appointment went well; go another cortizone shot - this time in the bursae area - feeling fabulous already. She gave the go ahead to resume all activities - so got them all done. I did feel a little twinge on certain twisting aerobic moves so I avoided those. Have PT this morning, and then today is supposed to be a beutiful day - going to hit the lake - go out on the boat and for a swim.

Making an effort to get out and walk each day. It helps that the weather has cooled off a bit and it isn't so humid. Dog sitting my daughter's dog while she is away so having 3 dogs to walk definitely helps with the step count!
