Over my calories yesterday - first time in a long time. I was already close to my calorie goal when I went to bed, BUT got up in the middle of the night and ate - putting me over the top. Just 125 calories - but over.

It was a very bad day yesterday. Someone clicked a link about a month ago and revealed their Microsoft credentials. The hacker got into their email and started requesting that our customers change banking information. Long story short, spent the entire day tracking down what occurred and putting out fires. Had very little water, didn't get home until almost 8pm and then had pizza and went to bed. Explains the scale bump. It temporary but bad for weigh in day.

    Hello Everyone!

It's been a while! I'm currently sick with Covid and just popped by to say hello!

I'm still maintaining my weight loss, and will be starting Half Marathon training in a week.

It's nice to see some familiar faces. Anyways, keep up the good fight!

Great to hear from you. Hope you feel better soon. That is great you are maintaining your weight. How long has it been since you reached goal?

Thanks. I think I might have pulled a muscle on top of the other back issues. My tens machine and heating pad have been my best friend the last few days. That’s not too bad for being over. I bet it would average out for the week. I was us up eating in the middle of the night last but it put we way over. I ate a couple of my husband’s pastries. I don’t even like them so it doesn’t make since. I am glad you are back walking. Before I had my knee replaced cortisone really helped me keep going until the surgery.

I am jealous. A swim in a lake sounds wonderful. I haven’t really been out on a boat like yours. We always had a motorboat at the cabins when I was growing up. It was fun but we had to take turns because it was too small to fit everyone.

I really don’t know how I got that many steps yesterday. I didn’t do much. I did try to make an effort to do some loops around the apartment until the pain said no. I even napped on and off. My back is feeling a bit better today. I am going to try and get some stuff done around the apartment.

    Have a super Saturday!

I was off the rails yesterday. Got all my exercise in, even added a swim. But snacking while watching a movie, over my calorie range, over my sodium goal, and another snack attack while I had my insomnia problem again last night is never a good thing. Did not look at the scaIe this morning (Sun), I just didn't want to know (I usually weigh in every day). I'm thinking of not looking until Wednesday, that's how bad it was! I did log everything though!

QOTD: Do you prefer cardio or strength training ?

Definitely Cardio! Look at my username - LOL! Walking is what started me on this weight loss journey and the pivotal part of my success. I do the strength training three days a week, it's ok - but not like my walk - I can take it or leave it. That being said - strength is better than the stretching type exercise. I also do that once a week but honestly HATE it and only do it because I know that it is good for me.

@itlaydee Sounds like a very stressful day. How do they always happen on weigh in day?

@lindamtuck2018 I love our boat, but we don't use it as much as we should. Silly because we live in a lake town. The beautiful lake is one of the largest in Connecticut and can only be used by town residents - so not crowded at all. Always a wonderful time. And the Connecticut River boat launch is only 20 minutes away with 45 miles of navigable waters. There is no excuse for us not using it as much as we should. It's just the perfect size for us (and Monty), just 20 feet, towable - it just looks bigger than it is. Glad to hear that your back was feeling better!

@Megan_smartiepants1970 I wish you could get back out there too. How are you feeling by the way?

@carrieneary71 Slow and steady is the right way to do it. You got this.

Today, I am not sure how my steps are so low. I did more yesterday than I did on Thursday and Friday. I did forget to put my Apple Watch on after my shower but that was only for less than an hour.

I unpacked my new ninja air fryer yesterday. I had dropped my other one and it finally became unusable in May. I made room and I am leaving it on my counter. I don’t want to chance dropping it and it is heavy compared to the last one. I am excited to try it this week.

    Have a great Sunday!

I weigh every morning but I have been known to jump off before the number registers. This morning I did let it register and the app wanted to know if it was me because I was over 5 pounds heavier. I had pizza for supper and it was salty. I hope you get your insomnia straightened out. If you are like me, poor sleep has a bad effect on my weight loss. I am more likely to over eat or binge when my sleep is off.
