quick check in before bed. I had a somewhat exciting day - I took a walk this morning that was about 75 active minutes total. I have my step goal set to 7k steps these days, even though I havent met it consistently in years now due to this ongoing foot issue I've been having. I had some discomfort in the foot today but I walked through it and it was fine after I stopped walking!! I am going to try the same route again tomorrow morning before I grocery shop. I've gotten my hopes up about this injury many times so I don't want to jinx it again. but maybe PT is working, and maaaaybe I could finally rejoin the step team by the end of this year.

    Update on goals:

    svuudsyx7ion.png

Our whole group struggled this week, it just wasn't us. What are your mini goals this week to help turn this around?

Shout out to @Jen_967 and @fourathomej for being our top losers this week!

Also, @Jen_967 has lost 21 pounds since her highest weight! :)

@Jen_967 that is great your son surprised you and cleaned the house!

@ashleycarole86 did you and @bowens1973 get on the peleton this weekend? You still have today :)

@wishfuljune I hope your back feels better soon! I hate when that happens. The heating pad becomes my best friend.

@StayFITTer wow! 90 minutes a day of exercise? That is great! But make sure you take some time for recovery and rest as well.

@Kali225 that is great your foot is doing better and you can hopefully continue walking more! Keep us posted!

I have been trying to focus on rest and sleep this week. The past 3 nights I did not use my phone at all in bed :o I am hoping to continue this trend as I always make better choices when I'm not tired.

I did have 3 dinners this week and I chose to eat dessert with each of them :s I had a perfect day yesterday, and am hoping to continue that today. I have my plan for exercise and what I would like to do today.

I am trying to find a good crochet/knit pattern for a small stocking that I can make for everyone at work and put some candy in (for Christmas). The first one I made was too small. I'm not sure I like the pattern too much either. So I am going to try a second one today. If anyone knows of any, feel free to share!

@lauren_989 awesome work on no phone use in bed! I had an unusually difficult time falling asleep last night and I think late screens is part of the problem... and thanks for the encouragement on the foot! I took another 75 min walk today and the foot is feeling 90%! I will freaking take it.

Got my meal plan, groceries, meal prep, and errands done for the day. Packers won! Watching the afternoon games now while I do PT and some nice deep stretches. It's going to be a super busy week with my birthday on Wednesday and a big celebratory weekend away starting Friday around noon, but all very exciting things!

    @Gidgitgoescrzy lovely fall pic!

I had a perfect day today. Got up early to do most of my workout - it was a long one so I had to do the last superset after work, but got it done. Breakfast was cereal which isn't the most protein-forward choice but I couldn't think of anything else to do this week. Lunch was good, left work mostly on time, had a good dinner and no snacking (although I did plan a dessert into my week so I get a little sweet fix). Might watch some of the game tonight but I am pretty tired so definitely gonna get a quick shower in and hop into bed.

This week will be interesting! I'm on vacation (staycation) and have most of my meals planned (good), but it's my birthday this week, with family visiting, and there is a possibility of three meals out. Planning to do my best, but also give myself grace. Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

    Hi team

I haven't been on here the last week but still around and getting through a heavy week of work and class.

Not great and I realize it's partly from some late night snacking. Will bet back to tracking for Nov as that seems to keep me focused on that bad habit.

We had our first Minor snowfall yesterday not something that you like waking up to...🤣 temperature definitely dropped🥶

@cleaneater80 I seem to be having troubles with late night snacking as well I never did before and now I find I'm sitting down to the TV and all I'm thinking about is something to eat... last night I took my journal with me and I did some writing while I was watching my show and I didn't snack at all so maybe I just got to keep my hands busy😂

@gidgitgoescrzy - beautiful fall picture! I need to fill out my ballot still, but I plan to do that on my lunch today. Then, I will drop it off at the end of work.

I finally started making it back to CrossFit after a long few months off to focus on pickleball. I did spin class last Wednesday and Friday, CrossFit Thursday and Friday, pickleball Saturday morning, and then bowled in a tournament the rest of Saturday and all day Sunday. It was an action packed weekend! I intended to go to spin class yesterday morning, but I was just too tired, and sore! I plan to go to CrossFit tonight and spin in the morning.

@ashleycarole86 - I want to join the step challenge again. I average about 6k (despite my desk job) per day, so I want to start there as my goal. If it gets too easy, I will increase it.

@lauren_989 - What I do for stress relief is exercise/sports, board games or games on my phone if I don't have anyone else willing to play, play with my dogs (especially the puppy because he has so much energy right now!), go for walks, read a book, call my mom, or sometimes just take a nap. It's amazing how much a little extra sleep can help.

First snow!?! We have a storm coming through right now. It has lots of rain, but no snow yet.

Keeping the hands busy is extremely helpful with not snacking in front of the TV. I crochet sometimes. When my wrist hurts too much to crochet, I eat. I'm glad you have something you can do with your hands to keep from eating. It definitely helps.

Stress relief... I like meditation, or loud music.. I will put my headphones on and ignore the world. Sometimes, I will start replanting/propagating my plants.

Or unfortunately I eat a bag of candy. Haven't done that in a while though.

@Gidgitgoescrzy - I forgot about loud music! I also listen to loud music to relax. Or I listen to podcasts - specifically, Morbid.

@MaddawgMadsen what board games do you like? I love them too! Honestly, I like just about any game.

@fourathomej snow already?! Where are you from again? It was 74F and sunny here today!

I had a busy day, went to work for 1/2 day, finally got a jog in (even though it was a terrible time), went to the dentist, carved a pumpkin, and now going out to dinner with hubby.

Also, I was able to turn my week around!!

Yesterday was a good day, I ate well, I exercised, and it felt good. I did a video and pilates.
The scale is not being nice, but I have one more day, so maybe it's just taking a minute.

I am going to start a Darebee program on the 1st. So I am excited about that. I also signed up for the Downdog November challenge, they have 4 apps ( Workout, yoga, pilates and Barre) and the challenge is to do one of them, once a day, so it's nice you get to switch it up.

I would love to find a program specifically for knee strength, so if you ever see one of them, let me know.

November is going to be my month !

@lauren_989 - I love pretty much all games. One of my favorites that I can never get anyone to play with me is Settlers of Catan. Since I never get to play that, I usually settle for Fastrack (it's a homemade game similar to Sorry, but with cards instead of dice), Farkle, Kings Crown, or whatever new game my sister recently found.

@Gidgitgoescrzy - I love the optimism! November will definitely be your month! I also am hoping that I can make November my month. And, the scale is also not being nice to me, but I did start going back to CrossFit, so I hope it is just muscle gain.

Tomorrow is Halloween! For those in Canada, do you have trick-or-treaters like we do here in the states? I honestly love seeing the kids in their costumes and handing out candy. But, my husband is one of the grumpiest people I know and hates what I love. So, we will keep our porch light off and hope that since we now live on a busy highway, nobody will stop by our house.

@lauren_989 We have snow most mornings but gone in a few hours - sitting at -4C this chilly morning.
I'm in Edmonton Alberta - not as bad for us with snow. South of us gets it worse - Calgary :D

@MaddawgMadsen I received Catan for Christmas a few years ago...it's still in the wrapping :(
This house has become addicted to Mexican Train game - it's played with domino's - super fun!

We don't get many kids anymore - we live in a neighborhood that is older. But we used to go all out when the kids were younger and we lived in row houses. We used to get upwards of 200 kids - it was awesome!!

@Gidgitgoescrzy The downdog challenge sounds fun - might have to see what that's about!
