@fourathomej I love Mexican train! So much fun!

@Gidgitgoescrzy what's a darebee program? And I love your optimism too! November will be great!

@fourathomej - I also love Mexican train! I haven't played it in a long time, but I think I now know what I need to get my sister for Christmas.

Also love Mexican Train! I leave Friday for my birthday weekend (bday is today tho - Wednesday is a dumb day to have a birthday in my opinion) and I asked any of the guests who can fit it in their luggage, to bring board games! I am obsessed with Wingspan, which I think came out like a year or two ago and I don't own it so my sister is bringing it. I am bringing some classics - Clue, Life, etc.

@MaddawgMadsen @Gidgitgoescrzy I am also feeling more optimistic about November - but I also have a full week vacation at an all-inclusive resort for the first time in my life in November which will probably not be good for eating/weight? I definitely want to keep up with movement while I am away but that week also happens to be right after my current 6-week workout challenge ends, which means it should be a deload week/not as intense.... so we'll see!

Had 2 perfect days in a row and rolling on my 3rd! happy hump day team

Thanks Lauren, I'm ready to get back in the groove. Nice to see some familiar names. 😊Starting weight I gave should be 182.2, I'd entered the weight on the doc's scale which is off by about 4 lbs from mine.
Happy Halloween all, deliberately bought sour patch candies because they're safe from me.

Lower than yesterday, so I am content.

The Darbee programs I learned about here, I can not remember who introduced them, but here is the website.

    Have a happy Halloween.

November needs to be a good month for me if I am going to turn back the other way and actually inch towards my end of year goal.

@Kali225 - Happy Belated Birthday!! I hope November is good for you eating/weight-wise for the weeks you're not at an all inclusive resort. It's good to be mindful of what you're eating, even on vacation, but do not let it ruin your incredible sounding trip. Lastly, enjoy your birthday weekend. I hope you have so much fun!

Welcome back @leni1us & @eggfreak! It's great to see you both return!

So I did it, I gave myself a reason to get to my end of year goal, I booked a cruise, it's in 6 weeks

I got an incredible price, and I have the leave, so why not, right ? We are going the week before Christmas, it helps to have a cruise port 20 minutes from your house. We are going to the Bahamas, we've been to the same islands before, but it's all good because I kind of feel once you've seen one beach, they are all the same. So we are just going to relax, we aren't even getting the drink package so no need to feel like we have to drink our money's worth. Plus the ship will be all decorated for Christmas.

Both the husband and I have been feeling alot of anxiety and stress from this election season so we decided we need a break from the real world for minute. I don't know why we let the stress get to us, but we do, so now we have something fun to focus on.

Okay that was my big exciting news.

@Kali225 Happy Birthday I hope you had a great day!

Today is November 1 - What are you doing today to be successful?

I packed my lunch, turned down our friday donuts, my co-workers make fun of me, cause they say I always look adoringly at them, then walk away.

I will do some Pilates for my Down dog challenge, and then my 1st day of the foundations program. Tomorrow we are going on a hike, so I think I will do day 2 of foundations, and then set the Down dog workout program for calf/leg stretches. I am planning for a 5 mile hike, it's a flat place we like.

Sunday, I will Row, then do day 3 foundations, and then some restorative yoga.

Have a wonderful day, and enjoy the weekend !

    TGIF!!!

@Gidgitgoescrzy have fun on the cruise!! I love cruises!!

After eating a ton of candy yesterday 🙈 my stomach hurt most of the day today, so I didn't eat much. However, I have zero energy to exercise this evening and my stomach is still slightly off.

Tomorrow, I will go to the gym and at least do the elliptical.

My hubby has surgery on his hip (torn labrum repair) on Monday, so I am going to have a busy week coming up with work and helping him.

    Happy November!
I've missed reading all of your entries this month and will catch you up on why I've been among the missing the past 1 1/2 months. In the end of September, 3 days before her 63rd birthday, my spouse was diagnosed with ALS ("Lou Gehrig's disease"). We're starting to come out of the initial shock; going to various appointments, and learning about how this is showing up for her right now. Keeping my head in the day has always been helpful, and now it's especially crucial for us both.
In early October, I sold the condo I have rented since 2016, and yesterday, she and I bought a property in a quiet mobile home park (next door to a state park, so it's really serene). We're going to do a little bit of painting and then move in over the next 2 weeks. Now that the sales are complete, I'm getting back to my exercise and better portion control regimens. Singing with Bel Canto Chorus is one of the best things I did this fall. Reconnecting to music and many of my singing peeps will keep sustaining me through this next chapter, which will be the biggest challenge of my adult life, which includes retiring from alcohol 13 years ago!
More as soon as I can. Hugs all around.

Evelyn, I am so sorry to hear this! What a devastating disease and I hate that for both of you. I'm glad you are focusing on serene and that you got back into singing. Hugs!

Nice to see you both back with us @leni1us and @eggfreak

@EvMakesChanges thanks for sharing what your spouse has been going through. Your move sounds like it will be helpful. My sincerest sympathies for what you both facing and wishing you the best as you navigate through this together. We are always here to listen.

@Kali225 enjoy your birthday fun! Your excitement is radiating through the screen. Love it.

@Gidgitgoescrzy i absolutely love cruises.. that sounds amazing

We had a very busy week and it was my birthday yesterday so I have a weekend of birthday plans myself. Nothing positive going on in the weight loss realm for me here.. my inner critic is very loud and my brain is mocking me for why I'm even on a weight loss group. I know I need to be but things just aren't going well. So there's my honest feeling.
