Sounds like a yummy meal!!!! WTG! How are your shelves coming?
Hopefully this cold spell goes away quickly for you! I have very northern friends (Canada, Nebraska, etc) and they always take a vacation to a warm spot this time of year. Last week Canada went to Costa Rica, this week Nebraska went to FL
Done with work, so heading to do an hour on the treadmill, I'm finding I really like this cadence- up at 6 (or later like today), to work by 7, 30 min walk at lunch, 1 hour walk after work. Really helps me get the wiggles out for sure!0 -
Good Morning! Training starting in just a few minutes. Looked over what I have for the challenge, and I really like CHALLENGING myself and not taking the easy way out "do something that helps you relax" well.... walking does that for me, so I'm just gonna claim it. I wanted to do some Yoga, but I don't have time. LOL1

Training done, homework done, dinner cooked and eaten (thanks to Scott's mad grill skills), tomorrow is another training day, hope to get a jump on walking in the morning before it starts. I had planned to today and didn't. LOL
Not much done around the house today since I had to be butt in seat all day. I did get 10 minute break every hour or so, though!
Sorry if I said/did something wrong!1 -
You did not!
I'm sorry, I wasn't myself this week, my body was in recovery from all the over-active workouts the last few weeks (all the snow clearing). I was 'in the zone' messing with a spreadsheet most of the week, too.
So sorry! I'll be ready with bells on next week, scouts honor!
How was the training! Is your brain buzzing and happy, with all the new inputs on board? Xx

Good morning, J! Good morning, new FLY peeps ! Happy Sunday ! ๐โโ๏ธ1

Good Morning! I'm not sure how well I will get my steps done for today, with the training. I played too much with my alarm (I HATE alarms on the weekend!), but I really needed the extra Zzzz's for today's training. We have a birthday party to go to tonight as well.
I'm trying to get Scott to empty the clean dishwasher, and a couple other simple things, like pulling teeth, but I neeeeeed him to help me out when I can't do things around here! UGH!!!
Planning for the week, this week I want to get my main bathroom cleaned up again (clean off countertop) and get the family room decluttered and looking pretty again!2 -
It's our Saturday, here. I'm not making house plans for our weekend, but Tuesday .... yup, bathroom
.
Today may be Hogwarts focused, we'll see if my tank is up for it. I was updating my tracker for the week last night:- I am 27,456 steps short of my 70k step goal
- My Fitdeck needs: 2 min Neck Stretches, 30 min Resistance, and 100 Punches
- My Advanced Studies/Classroom 5A needs 20 or 40 min Patronus-inspired workout (Bay Mare), OR 20 or 40 min workout that helps you feel better when you are upset, and DADA Trivia
- 15 min reading/researching something I'd like to 'learn more about in regards to health and/or fitness ', and write a couple sentences about what I've learned
- And I haven't done even a single Bingo square for our new 4-wk Bingo board
๐
Tomorrow will be the class we signed up for. And maybe a movie at night, we'll see

Thank you for the welcome.
My focus for the week is to get a roman shade made for my kitchen window. We downsized a few months ago and I
Cant seem to work like I used to.
I am 71 years old now and getting lazier by the minute! I have started back with baby steps after years of flying. This move really messed me up!
Anyhow, if I get my sink shined and a load of laundry done every day, i count it as success.3 -
Happy Sunday, titus !! So glad you've joined us. I'm a hot mess (lol hotspots everywhere, no hot rooms! everywhere!), after falling away from FLYing when the AIM chats, which shifted to yahoo chats was it?, which shifted to all kinds of places, seemed to scatter us FlYgirls to the wind.
You said you flew for years, I wonder if we 'knew' you back in the day? Did you used to AIM chat fly? That's where I met jennyren.
Dive right in, you know the drill. I admit, I haven't flown much since re-connecting with Jenny, but she has. And I will !!1 -
Welcome Titus!!!! Don't forget- babysteps! Sink and laundry are a good place to start!
I sent a text to my husband that I refuse to do anything until he unloads the dishwasher and puts the 2 new chairs together! LOL
This training is driving me crazy! I thought I had a lot to learn, but I feel pretty confident about where my skill level is- higher than I thought!2 -
When I first started flying, I was a homeschooling mom going by CatInBlack on TheWellTrainedMind message board. We had a group of flybabies who also did Once a Month Cooking and Managers of Their Homes. Home computers were just
Becoming popular, internet was dialup, and chatting wasnt a thing yet. ๐. Now I am a grandmother of 8 in much demand as a babysitter and still not very computer savvy.
I would like to go by Cat on this board. Allow me to offer some encouragement inspired by the unloading the dishwasher story. When my husband retired ten years ago, I was lamenting the fact that there is no retirement from household chores. I proposed that he take over some of the big ones and *gasp* he agreed. Now my husband runs the vacuum, does the grocery shopping and cooks dinner 4 times a week. The first person to open the dishwasher and find clean dishes has to unload it. I do laundry and he puts it away. When he was working, I had to do it all. Life is much easier now.2 -
Cat it is! We are home from friend's house, ate before I went and ate when I got home. Their food is never good for me (and Scott found out tonight, all their meat usually has Apple Cider vinegar on it and I'm highly allergic to apples! Glad I pre-fed myself!)
I'm about to go walk, then put in my classroom stuff.... I'm about 3000 steps away from my goal! Hopefully a good 30 minutes at a quick pace will get me where I want to be!1 -
Hello hello, my focus today was on barn chores and resting up. I did both! Now I'm sore ๐1
-
Good Morning! I am about to leave for my yearly physical. Trying to do deep breathing to get my BP to behave! It's colder than I thought out, so letting the car warm up to get the frost off!
Focus today is my office and the bathroom. Also, Dark clothes.
Scott did empty the DW last night, but didn't finish the chairs, so I'm still stacking dishes by the DW!LOL
I'll walk at lunch and make a game plan for my bingo card/pull my fit deck cards when I get home1 -
Hello @Hoolai , I love your name!! I have a kitty named Hoolie ๐ WTG barn chores! Inspiring! I love outside, functional workouts, they're the best! Did the resting up make you sore? ;-)
Hello, @jennywren93 ! GL @ physical, and don't stress your BP. It only send it the wrong way ;-). My focus today is weekend. Sun/Mon are our weekend here. Tmo, girls! Tmo I'm flyin' !1 -
Back from the Dr. @mkksemail I took your advise and did a lot of breathing exercises and was rewarded with 122/77!
The Dr loved me doing carnivore, taking creating, EKG was "perfect"! Follow up in 1 year! Now to wait for bloodwork.....Dr said to be patient with my weight loss, keep doing what I'm doing, there's a lot of healing going on in the background and once that's fixed I'll lose, so... patience it is!
After 3 days of "gaining" (0.2-0.5 pounds/day), I am DOWN all that weight gain, PLUS another 0.2 gone! I had upped my calories the last few days, so I will keep them up and see if weight continues to come off.
Will get my Fit Deck sorted after this bit of work is done1 -
All great news, Jenny!! Love it !0
