Susan. Trust your card class went well. Praying for Colin & you find out soon about his heart. Oh prayers they get back to you asap. 🙏
How did the hearing aid work with your card class? Prayers

Judith. Hope you slept well. So you have a pink orange peachy azaleas we saw a few in that color. There was not many yet it is so very pretty color. It stands out.
We have 2 reds & a pink one. One of the azaleas didn’t have many leaves in it when we left for our trip. So I hope it’s ok. I’ll have Beto start putting coffee grounds on it once home.
We we are on our way to motel.
    Have a good night all.

Susan - Well at least your have ruled out thyroid and lung issues so that is a good thing. I am praising God for this information. I am preparing for our guests and you are cleaning up after yours. Ether way, cleaning is necessary. I pray that the angiogram gets scheduled soon! The one I had was not pleasant but it was accurate in diagnosing the chest pain I had when I was still working. With less stress, the pains have disappeared.

Barb - I have already had my blood work done, and the levels have gotten worse. I am waiting now to get an ultrasound of my liver scheduled. If I do not hear from the hospital tomorrow, I will call them to see if the doctor sent the message to them. It is hard that we live so far away from the doctor office it can get complicated. The office is not used to working with a different hospital. Your gorgeous pictures make me wish I were able to travel with you. Do they flowers have a sweet smell? Continuing to pray for your safe travels.

Judith - yes the weather has been a bit strange. I was talking to a friend who lives higher up in the mountains and she said they have had hardly any snow this year. Last year February was their snowiest month but February and March have been very mild this year.

Susan, yes I slept pretty good but extremely tired tonight. Thanks for asking. Yes I am still so happy and thanking God for no Lung or Thyroid issues. Such good news. I didn’t realize you were that far from the hospital. Was thinking you had gone there to enquire. The Doctor who has been assigned to his case I sure hope he sees that this is serious to bring him in quickly. I will keep this in much prayer. I am so glad you are doing better with your hearing aide. I was sure hoping in time it would get better. Have you heard from your friends who left for home yet? So nice they have a new vehicle. How did they feel having them both drive a vehicle home on their own so they got 2 cars home? Hope the roads were clear for driving for them.

I am missing you Linda tonight, probably time difference. Praying for you.

Barb, hope you are enjoying all your travels. Praying for safety.

I am here earlier and so tired so won’t linger here tonight. I replied to Linda and Barb last night so will let you read that when you log in.

Good Night all God Bless…Be back tomorrow… ♥️🙏🤗

Hello all. Card class went well and the hearing aid worked fine. I can almost ignore it now. I'd say I have adapted to it. Thanks for asking, everyone.

Judith, MFP seems to have more glitches than ever. I see Linda posted just before you. I hope you had quality sleep last night. My friends got home safely and they are both so used to driving, they didn't mention finding it difficult to each drive a car. Yes, the heart hospital is far from us. Our local hospital does little more than first aid, but we're glad it is there. Many hospitals seem to specialise here.

Linda, glad your chest pain has subsided after leaving work. Too much stress does many bad things to us. Colin had one Angiogram in 2011, and it revealed the problem he had back then. He is hoping the same result will happen this time.

Barb, you sure are having a good trip. I'm glad you are seeing so many flowers.

Here's some card class pictures for you.

Happy Spring to all of us who are celebrating today. Today was a good day to get cleaning done. I have the office ready for them to sleep in and now. I just need to clean the bathrooms and our room. It is nice that having a deadline to get things done gets me motivated to do things I should have done long ago. I look at it as getting my spring cleaning done so killing two birds with one stone as the old saying goes.

Judith - I am sorry that you were really tired yesterday. I hope that you are feeling better today. We must have been posting at the same time yesterday. It seems to happen with us and with Susan also. At least we can read what was written the next day although it is old news.

Susan - the cards are beautiful as usual. Did you use the gift you received at the conference? I'm not sure what they were supposed to be used for. It is sad that people do not send many cards anymore. It seems to be a lost art to send cards especially the gorgeous ones you create.

Barb - hope that you are having a good time vacationing. I look forward to getting more pictures.

    Evening Hello Everyone,

Happy Spring! Hope you all enjoy your Spring Time and Harvest!

Susan, your cards are beautiful. I love Card making like you do but I’m not doing as much as you are doing. If I lived near you I’d love to come to your classes. I have always bought StampinUp Products, Card Stock, Stamps, Embellishments, Dies and Embossing Sets. I have the Big Shot and so much more. When I get my Catalouge I can hardly wait to dive in and find what new things I need or to tell the truth just buy new things! We have the same experience here with our hospitals, they all specialize in some area. I sure hope Colin hears from the hospital soon and they get him in soon. So happy you are adapting to your hearing aid and it’s helping you.

Barb, Your holiday sounds so lovely and all the flowers you are seeing is so nice. It’s nice to be with your grandkids. The Easter Resurrection Eggs you bought for your grandkids are such a great way to tell the Easter Story and they are a great reinforcer for telling the true meaning of Easter! Eli and Kaelyn will really enjoy receiving the Resurrection Eggs. Nice you met your son at the restaurant. I am sure you are enjoying being with your family and exploring all the places you are visiting.

Linda, sounds like you had one busy day with all the clean up you were doing today. Thank you for the Happy Spring Greetings! And Happy Spring time to you also. Hard to believe we are in Zspring now. I am looking forward to getting the Spring cleaning done outside as soon as the rain stops. And I sure will have a lot of cleaning as the rain has made a mess of my yard. But putting that all aside it will be so nice to see Spring flowers come up and as weather improves I can start planting some of my flowers and veggies so hopefully I can have a nice harvest. Yesterday it was so crazy how we posted at same time but missed each other’s post.

Have a nice day tomorrow.. Sleep well, Sweet Dreams and God Bless. See you all tomorrow. 🛌😴🙏🤗

Yes, Judith, I am the same with the new catalogue! Now SU is putting loads of their new stuff online though. Every month they release new things. I have to remember to check there each month. Oh, wouldn't it be great to get to craft together! I didn't know if your hospitals would specialise too. It makes sense, only paying to have certain specialists in each region once, I guess. We are still waiting for Colin to be contacted. We were warned it would be a long wait. Happy spring. The warmth will surely work it's way north if there are daffodils in Arkansas! Meanwhile, autumn started March 1st here but it is still hot and humid so far.

Barb, glad you liked the cards. A lot of them were made in class with the women putting their own spin on my designs and kits. They usually have an idea about who they are sending the cards to. Yes, we're hoping to get that Angiogram appointment soon for Colin too. 🙏 Your trip and getting to see your family sounds like such a blessing!

Linda, I am really sorry to hear your liver is worse. I sure hope they can help you reverse that. The liver is pretty amazing and can recover, right? Praying for you. Yes, the gifts from OnStage are pretty practical. They were mostly new products from the new, unpublished catalogue. I'll be able to make new samples and kits for classes with them. The swaps I got have already inspired a few new designs. Other crafters are just so clever at thinking up new ways to make cards. Since I run four card classes a month and do make cards for family and friends, I love all the new inspiration. All of my students send the cards they make. They usually think about who is going to get their cards made in class while they are making them. All this and chatting too!

I have plans to make Inara a 3yo birthday card, wash and clip a dog and get hymns ready to be played at church tomorrow. Have good days, everyone!

Susan. I hope your church service goes well. Are you in charge of the hymns or praise songs you sing? What do you sing hymns praise songs ir both? You only sing hymns it sounds like. I prefer hymns but we do both. Sometimes we may have a service with only hymns. Continue prayers for Colin with his heart

Trust the 3 year bday card went well & dog clip went well too

Your students did a great job on their cards I do not think we have any card making here I’ll have to look into it some time

Linda prayers for your liver I hope you get the info about it soon

When we get home I will have yard cleaning out & spring cleaning windows & curtains plus watching Mariposa & in April, Jean is due do we will be helping with watching 2 boys plus helping once Tim, her hubby goes back to work

It’s nice you got all your spring cleaning done

It’s been a red flag alert with the wind when we left & still is at home plus cold so I need it warmer to do spring cleaning & put out our rug & glider for the porch.

Judith I hope younger sleeping well prayers so

    When doing your cleaning done?

We are on way to see our daughter Elisabeth & be there tomorrow then Sunday go back home Today we had lunch with our son meeting him at work

We walked with Kim, ddil & Kaelyn & Eli in downtown Branson it was fun I’ll send pics of them at home

Have a great night all & day Susan

plus Harry surrounded by an azalea.

It has been a week since I talked to my doctor about getting my ultrasound done. He said he would send the order over that day and I would be hearing from the hospital soon. I talked to the hospital today and they said they did not have anything ordered yet. I left a message with the doctor and guess what?? Within an hour the hospital was notifying me that they had the order. I guess he forgot to send it or sent it to the wrong hospital. Anyway they can not get me in until the 28th so it will be another week before I get the ultrasound of my whole abdomen. I am glad they are doing the whole thing because in the back of my mind, I have the idea that the kidney cancer has come back and has gone to my liver. I am fighting that thought with prayer and scripture reading. Just because it happened to our professor friend last year does not mean it will happen to me!!

Barb - love the pictures again. Harry looks very short next to the Azaleas but I know that they are very tall so it only makes him look short. You have covered a lot of miles visiting family and sightseeing. Are you sad that it is coming to an end? As you said you need to get back home to take care of your house and Harry needs to go back to work. A house a little ways from us has a lot of daffodils blooming along her fence. I am so glad to see them and know that spring is here although we have been having low temperatures near or below freezing here. I had to Google what a resurrection egg was. Those are a great tool to use to teach this story to the children. Do you put the items in a plastic easter egg or what? I first was thinking about blowing out the inside of a read egg to fill it but realized the items inside would not fit in the small hole in a blown out egg.

Susan - yes the liver can heal and regenerate. The problem is that we do not know at this time what is causing the damage in the first place so I can stop it. Hopefully we will get some answers with the ultrasound. Stamping Up sounds that a great group. You said that they are putting things online so I will need to check out the prices to see if I can afford it. I have been thinking about it but forget easily until you show the pictures of the cards and then I remember.

Judith - our church does a mixture of hymns and new songs. I prefer the hymns but sometimes the words are really hard for the young people to understand if the song has old words and King James words. I am thinking of the song "Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing" that says "Here I lift my ebenezer" that is not common knowledge that the ebenezer was to Samuel his rock of hope.

Have a great weekend everyone - pleasant dreams!

    Good Early Morning All,

I fell asleep in early evening and now at 12:35 am here texting and completed all the threads and now replying to you gals. It’s ok as I am wide awake, at least for now.

Linda, so sorry the order did not get to right hospital or hopefully the doctor didn’t forget. But at least hospital received the order now. I am trusting and believing for a mighty touch of healing upon your body. Praying for a Good Report to come back! I hear you about some of the young people that don’t understand the words of some of the Hymns, you mentioned Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing, one of my very favorites our Church sang always but haven’t for a very long time. I am going to look it up on YouTube Music and listen to it.

Barb, loved the pictures you shared. So nice you are being with family and seeing so many flowers. Love the picture of Harry amongst the Azelea bushes. He is almost hidden as he is completely surrounded. So healthy looking. I am sure you will almost not want to leave there but as you said you have cleaning and yard work once you are home and of course Harry has to be back to work! Nice he had a break from work enjoying the travel and being with family as you have had. You said you are home Sunday, will pray for your safe travel!

Susan, yes StampinUp is such a wonderful company, I love the catalogues but I too go online and I also go on my StampinUp Demonstrator’s website who sells the products and of course she does a lot of Home Parties. My daughter had one few years back which started me on the journey of card making. And yes I sure would love to Craft together. We would have such great times. Have you ever made a Genealogy Scrapbook? I made two, one each for my Daughter and Family and Son and Family of our Family Line. I have researched our family lines back to the 1500’s for one family and 3 others from the 1600’s to present day! I wrote stories and had pictures on each page of the ancestor I was writing about. I also included maps and graphs. My kids loved receiving them. Yes all our Hospitals that focus on a couple areas. If one has Cataract Sugery there is a hospital near my daughter, and VGH where I travel is the main Hub for Burns, Heart, Head and Neck and Cranio-Facial. Brain and much more. It’s a Teaching Hospital and people are flown in there from all over BC. And there is a “Women’s” Hospital and we have our Sick Kids Hospital. There is a Hospital called Sunny Hill for Special Needs Children. I continue to pray for Colin that he will get his Angiogram quickly. Hopefully even thru someone cancelling their appointment.

Well gals it’s now bedtime I feel I can sleep and wake refreshed! Good Night All! See you tomorrow. 🙏🤗

Judith, I'm glad your daughter introduced you to SU and papercrafting. No, I have not attempted a family history scrapbook. Yours sounds amazing. Sounds like our hospital systems are pretty similar with their specialties and teaching.

Linda, I hope you can somehow suspend that thought about your health at least till after the exploration and diagnosis. I'm so glad you followed up with your Dr about the tests. We're only human, right? Everyone forgets things. It's good to follow up as our own Advocats. As for Stampin' Up! they have a main US website where you can search for a Demonstrator near you and ask if they hold classes. Some if my girls just pay to come to a class and don't collect craft supplies. That's gone with me, so there may be a way to have a class and ask questions too, to see if you like it.

Barb, we sing old hymns in the mornings then favourite songs at night. I mostly play flute in the morning and sing at night. The Pastor's wife chooses the hymns and I check to see if I know.them, what key they are in and I write out the order of service she sends and mark them in my hymn book with clips so I can easily turn to them. I practice them if I need to. Your pictures ate beautiful and I love all those smiling faces!

My Sunday may not involve playing glute. I got up in the dark last night and managed to run into a jutting corner of a wall. I skinned my right wrist/forearm pretty good and bruised the bone. Sigh. It sure is stiff and sore today. Glad I got Jasper groomed earlier in the day and made Inara's card. It says 'Whee! Inara's 3!' instead of 'Happy Birthday '.

Before and after pics of Jasper taken in dififferent lights. He is browner than the photo on the right shows.

Inara's card. She loves Jasper and I had a banjo playing dog stamp. I coloured him brown. He isn't Jasper but it was something I could fo with him in mind!

Today was date day which we shared with friends. We went out to lunch at "Pufferbellys" which is named after a train system. The restaurant was built inside of the old train station. The only train we have near us that still works is the Amtrack that goes all across the States. Back to the restaurant - I had a salad but the others had burgers that looked good but I also knew that there would be a lot of calories from the meat as well as the fries and onion rings that came with them. After we ate we went to the Museum of Western History which was really interesting. They have an outdoor tower that people can go up and be able to see all across the area to the mountains that surround our area. It was really windy and cold but it was worth it to see that they had maps that showed the names of the buildings around that we could see.

Not many people posting on here today but I know everyone is busy. Judith I hope you woke up rested. I will not be on here very long either since our visitors will be here soon and I need to do dinner dishes before they get here.

Thinking about everyone in my prayers!

Good night all. We made it to Andover to be with our daughter, Elisabeth’s family. Tomorrow church & home we go. Then unpack go through mail & get ready for a busy week.
in time I’ll get windows washed maybe by May.

Linda prayers for you. So glad you got an appointment. 3/28 will be here before we know it. Prayers it’s not anything that is from your kidney cancer. I didn’t know you had that. How long was that? Many prayers God is in charge. So rest I. His arms.
    The puffer betta sound interesting

Susan I know the hymn come thou fount too. We call the praise 7 eleven as the repeat 7 or 11 times. Plus no parts like the hymns. Which we probably sing in heaven with perfect pitch!
i forgot you play flute like my sister & my daughter Elisabeth. She plays flute too Not so much but can. I tell her autistic kids love music. So at Christmas she might with her class. Love the jacket pics.

Judith. Hope all going well. That’s neat that you do stampin up too. Your scrapbook sounds best. I’ve never done that

Working on a jacket for Mariposa. Having so issues with the hood so maybe rest & after church m, on way home I can figure it out. I made I’ve before.

Have a great Lords day tomorrow.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments on my Fanily history Scrapbook I did for my kids. I would like to do another one meaning new discoveries made and when I’m feeling up to it I have some work that needs done in updating each of the Family Lines.

Susan, love your card you made for Inara, please wish her a Happy Birthday from me! 🥳 The picture of Jasper is so adorable! He looks so cuddly, I would love to wrap my arms around him and give him a big Hug 🤗 so sorry 😞 you ran into the corner of the wall during the night and hurt your arm with bruising the bone, ouch 😓 Hope your arm heals quickly.

I had to leave my post and now back after midnight!

Barb, the jacket you are making for Mariposa will be so sweet, I know you were having some issues with it and were going to have a rest and pick it up tomorrow. I am sure when you come back to it it will all come together. I look forward to seeing a picture when it’s completed. So happy you have this time with your family and visiting all the places. Glad you made it to Andover to your daughters. Enjoy your visit and Chuch with the family in the morning. Have a safe trip home.

Linda, your date day sounded like a fun day, I am sure you enjoyed eating at Pufferbellys, neat the restaurant is in a old Train Station. So cool. Would love to see pictures. And the Museum you went to, climbing up the tower and seeing all the city below. Nice they handed out maps to the visitors. And to answer your question, I woke rested.
enjoy your visitors who are coming.

Hope you all have a Blessed Lord’s Day and family time after! Good Night All! 😴🙏🤗

Our visitors came late last night and have been a delight. They are so grateful for everything we do and try to help as much as they can. They were especially impressed with the basket I have in their bathroom that is full of things a person might need like a hotel (soap, shampoo, lotion, razor, shower cap, etc.) This morning they had leave for a meeting at 7:45am so I was up very early getting breakfast. Actually, I had made a breakfast casserole so I just had to put it in the oven then provide fruit and juice to make the rest of the meal. I came home after church and took a short nap to make up for getting up so early. Tomorrow they do not have to be on campus until I believe 10 so we can have a "normal" breakfast time. I can imagine some of you thinking that the 7:15am breakfast is normal for you but I am not an early riser so getting up was hard this morning.

Barb - I had kidney cancer surgery in 2014. It certainly was God's will that they found it because there were no symptoms. The doctor found it when I went to the emergency room with severe left sided abdominal pain. They they did the CT scan to see if my appendix has ruptured, they discovered the cancer. I had my appendix removed and a month later (they had scheduling problems with the robotic machine that does the surgery) I had a partial kidney removal. The cancer was "hanging down like grapes on the tip of the kidney so they saved part of my kidney. For 5 years they watched me carefully with CT scans every other year and chest x-rays and ultrasounds the rest of the time. The ultrasound I am having on Friday will look at the whole abdomen so they will be able to check out my kidneys as well as my liver. I am praying for your travels home as well as all the preparation needed to get ready for the week coming up. I also hope that your are able to figure out the jacket for Mariposa. She is blessed to have a grandmother who can make special clothes for her.

Susan - Ouch! your arm sounds painful after hitting it on the wall. I imagine playing the flute might be hard to hold up with a bruised bone. I am still not ready to play the keyboard for church for the newer songs. It will be a while until I feel confident enough to play quickly and accurately. Having the songs ahead of time would be a big help. I don't know if the regular keyboardist has that done for her. If I would play, I would only be there if she is gone on vacation or things like that. She has her own keyboard so I would have to borrow one if I did play. Keyboards are so much lighter than my spinet piano and are easily transported. Jasper is a very handsome pup! You do a great job grooming him and his brother.

Judith - the family album sounds so special for memories. We did not take many pictures when the kids were growing up. Since it was not a digital camera, we also did not know how the pictures would turn out until we developed them and of course some were awful!! and others were cute. We did do the "My Story" book for each of them telling them about what we did as children and how things were growing up with them so we have a written history. I am not fond of having my picture taken either so I am sure if I had liked to have pictures like the young people do now with their selfies, I would have taken more of them too.

Judith. Your family album sounds so special. Prayers in time you can maybe do others. I’m sure your family will enjoy. Telling about how you played games etc is so very good.

Susan I hope no injuries from running into hitting the wall. Reminded me of my stubbed baby toe, which is still swollen but the redness seems to be a dark pink & perhaps less swelling. It’s been over a month. My dr wanted me to X-ray but it’s no problem with walking, most of the time. There’s nothing they can do for a baby toe. She did tell me that toes take long time to lose the swelling.

Linda. Thank you for explaining. I am praying. It’s good they will check your kidneys too. I took piano lessons but am not good for singing plus we don’t have a piano. So many years not played.
It’s neat you had visitors. How long will they be with you. Breakfast casseroles can be so good.

We are home. Came home to some daffodils blooming & my forsythia. So that was nice.
We got a busy week. Bible study craft funeral. Lots going on. May try to get cotton burr for our garden too.
The resurrection eggs are made by Family life. Mardel, Hobby Lobby, Christian book store had them on sale. It can reinforce what Jesus did for us. Next year I’ll get my other 2 families as kind of expensive. The white egg plastic is empty for the empty tomb. Each color represented something too I believe.

    Have a great week.

Barb, I will have to look up Resurrection Eggs too. Believe it or not, when I shop for Christian things, I often order from christianbook.com as they ship overseas. Once they sent my box to Austria though, instead of to Australia. I knew by the post office stamps and redirection notices, plus it took a very long time to get here! Lol! Welcome back home. I think I broke my little toe about the same time as you. It's still a little sore but not too bad now. As for my arm, unfortunately I got a skin tear as well as a bruised bone. The wound hasn't closed yet and this is the third day. Colin helps me dress it as it is on my right arm/wrist and is awkward for me to dress it with my left hand. It should close up soon.

Linda, I'm so glad you have a Dr appointment for your kidneys soon. That's an answer to prayer. Yes. It is always good to know what hymns we are playing ahead of time. I sometimes listen to them on YouTube to get the timing right. Oh my. You are such a good hostess! Early breakfast would be impossible/difficult for me, too. Thank you for your compliment.pliment on Jasper's groom. I was happy with it this time. Archie remains to be washed, blow dried and clippered. Once the arm injury closes up I'll be able to do him.

Judith, it would be so nice to have family history albums. I can trace back to the 1500s on Dad's side but got stuck in the 1800s for Mom's side. One ancestor that stopped me there came from Holland, apparently, and the other I haven't been able to find a name for even using Ancestry.com and another family history site. Family can't give me any clues either. I do have a cousin in Arkansas though who may be able to help. Our great grandmother's parents lived there, and it is her parents' names who are missing. Another line was also cut at my grandfather's mother's line. I have no idea who her parents were and don't have information about her husband either. Sad! No one that I know of could help me there.

I went to Uke this morning and had a fun time. There's singing this afternoon. Meanwhile I am making a birthday card for a 10yo granddaughter and have organised my burgeoning singing music folder. We have sure sung a lot of songs in four years!

The remaining regions can expect 75 to 100mm.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Thank you for praying. Will come back if able.

Prayers Judith with the rain. We've had wind for over a week here, and our bag is gone when we got home. The bag that was in the tree.
It was windy most of our trip too.
March is known for the wind, and we have had it.

Good morning. I am at the hearing clinic for a check up. We are supposed to have heavy rains coming for our whole state. It's cloudy and sprinkling now.

Thinking of you, Judith, as you also receive heavy rains.

Barb, glad you and Mariposa could get out and about. It sounds like a pretty walk.

    Must go for now.

We heard this morning that another friend passed away. I think I told you another friend died on Saturday morning. We have had so many deaths in our lives as well as our Bible study group that it is hard to deal with. Glenn made a list of people who we have lost in the past year and the list came to 17 people. For the ones that knew Jesus, we rejoice but still miss them so much. Something that is good is that our granddaughter has decided to go to Colorado State University in Fort Collins. It is one of the colleges that Glenn attended many years ago. She already has several friends there so that will help. She has been through a lot of hard times in her life and does not like to be far away from family. She will be 1 1/2 hour away from home so if she gets homesick she can come home on the weekends.

Barb - our visitors are from the Colorado Springs church. They are a young couple that work with the campus group there. It is called a campus swap because people from one campus ministry come to another campus ministry to help during their spring break. Since spring breaks are at different times, there can be several campus swaps. I am glad that you got home safely and found lots of flowers to welcome you back. I hope that your toe gets better quickly. It is true that it takes a while with toes.

Judith - we are praying for the weather to not do a lot of damage.

Susan - I hope your arm heals quickly. I am glad that you are able to do your Uke practice.

I just got a phone call saying that we will be getting another person staying with us tonight. She is also from the Colorado Springs church but is not a student. She and her fiancé were on vacation and her fiancé fell 30 feet off a rock and broke his leg. He is in the ER being evaluated for any more injuries. He was brought to our ER so she needs a place to stay once he gets out of the ER. I need to get going so I can get a bed ready for her.

    Good Morning All 🌻

Linda, I am so sorry 😞 to see you have had a lot of deaths this past year, think you said 17, that’s a lot. So sorry to hear of the passing of your Friend on Saturday, my condolences & prayers to you and your friends family. You spoke about the Campus Swap meeting with different groups coming to the campuses to help. That’s such an awesome idea and to be apart of. It’s nice you and Glen open up your home to these College students. Sorry to hear about the couple who the husband having the accident and was taken to the ER near you and you in the kindness of your hear opening up your home for this dear gal, besides the bed and meals you provide you will be such a blessing to her. Thank you for praying for my friend whose son passed unexpectedly. And thank you for praying for me about our Heavy Rainfall warning. It has rained all day but for a bit it slowed down which was so good to hear. No damage in my area or in my yard. Praise God!

Barb, Welcome back. The pictures you shared of your gardens are so beautiful. Your walk you took sounds lovely with all the flowers you saw. God’s beautiful Creation. I might of missed your post but you were working on Mariposa’s Jacket or was it a Sweater? I think I remember you were having some trouble with the Hood or something on her jacket. You were going to sleep on it and go back and said you were sure it would get figured out. Did you get it sorted out and have you finished making the jacket yet? It was nice to hear the bag was gone out of the tree when you came home. You have had high winds like us so the bag blew away. Sorry you are having the Winds in your area. Be safe my friend. I was sorry to read you have another mouth sore, hope your mouth feels better soon.

Susan, hope you had a good appointment at the hearing clinic. Please let us know how it went. So sorry you have heavy rainfall like us. Please be safe my friend. Thank you for praying for my friend whose special needs son passed unexpectedly. They still don’t know what caused his death. They will do the initial work up with full body examination and blood work but at this point don’t know if they will do an autopsy. You mentioned you have done research on Ancestory, it’s an awesome site to be connected to. It great you have researched your Dad’s side to the 1500’s and you are working on your Mom’s side. Genealogy is Huge, researching gathering the info dates places etc is a lifetime experience. It’s enjoyable finding out the info of your family. In my experience there have been times I hear nothing or don’t find anything but then it seems out of the woodwork I get this e-mail or a link that connects me to the person I’m researching. I encourage you to keep going you will get there!

Well it’s really late now, I finished the threads last night and now I see it’s 12:30 Am Tuesday Morning. Will say Good Night and God Bless 😴🙏🤗 See you all later today!

Judith, thank you for your encouragement about my family tree. I have been working on it since 2007. You are right, things sometimes spring forth from the woodwork and I have a new clue. I've been contacted by lots of previously unknown family, too and have shared our tree with anyone in the family who wants the information. I'll always be open to new clues. It seems I am the family tree worker of my generation. How are you coping with your heavy rain? Ours is building. One alarmist news headline said we could get one year of rain this week. Only the Lord knows. We're fine so far. Oh, I do hope the family who lost their young man find some answers. It must be so hard to not know a cause.

Linda, I am thinking of you and Glenn and your church and am praying for comfort and support in your loss of so many friends in such a short time. You are so giving, willing to accommodate someone in their hour of need. I guess it is good to be busy but do take care. I know you are still facing concerns about your own health. Please take care of you. Yes, I was able to play Uke and Flute in spite of having cuts on my wrist. I covered them with dressi gs and was good to ho. The pain has settled and I am leaving them open now in tbe day but I am still keeping the wounds covered at night as they are not quite closed up. It's healing. I just take a little extra time to heal these days.

Barb, thank you for the beautiful flower pictures. I couldn't picture Forsythia before seeing your photo. I didn't know it grew in bushes like that. The Lenten Rose was pretty, too. It's another flower I hadn't seen. And thank you for praying. I just had my hearing aid fine tuned yesterday. I had worn it for two weeks so the Audiologist just wanted to make small tweaks to help it fit into my lifestyle. All done for now!

Our Bible study was good today. We are studying Romans. So good to be back after spring break break & some cold weather.
Glad you liked the pics. Lenten rose is called Lent as it blooms near Lent. It is a Helleborus family. I ,earned that today.
Yes I’m gettin more mouth sores. So glad they don’t hurt. I have birth pain as I had a twist in my colon & felt nothing. I fainted at work & they I discovered that so I had 6” removed from my colon. God used the fainting to save me since I had no pain or symptoms.
Bua, neighbor I’m witnessing to, had the sores from citrus so I’m going to try that hard as soon as many foods have tomatoes & I like to grow them. Hers was due to lack of sleep & water. I’m drink lots of water & haven’t been eating much citrus foods but know I could do better. I am also, stopping the new eye meds I’m on. Maybe the stress with the hood I am knitting is causing the sores with citrus foods? Just praying good help me figure it out.

Linda. Sorry about the deaths. We have a funeral Saturday, which I will help, with & make a dessert for the meal we will have for the family. I’ll help with serving them too.
that is neat that your grand daughter will attend Fort Collins. We’ve been there quite a bit as close to son when they lived in Laramie, Wyoming. Just south of them. Now they live in Branson, MO.

Judith. I hope no damage at your place & the rain stopped. We ,Amy have rain & some cold temps this weekend. Oh well. Need rain to help the weeds I always say. Sure wish I could get rid, of the weeds but somehow they pop up, all the time.

Susan. Prayers for your arm and I hope you don’t have a lot of rain that you heard youn any have. How did you make out at the hearing clinic? Any news on Colin with his heart? Prayers.
My toe is slowly losing the red now pink & swelling it may take 2 months or more. It will be 2 months April 6.

Our guests left this afternoon after spending time with their friend whose boyfriend fell and actually broke his pelvis. I had earlier heard it was his leg but that is fine. We spent some time with her later in the day while he was in surgery getting metal plates and screws in hold his SI joint in place and to put the pelvis back together in the front. The x-ray looked like it should have hurt a lot more than she said he seemed to be feeling. He is from the Air Force Academy and she said that he has taught himself to do things that are hard without letting pain stop him from what he wants to do. She was supposed to call me when the surgery was over but I have not heard from her yet. The boyfriend's father was coming in this afternoon to help him also so maybe she just forgot. He will be discharged from the hospital on Friday and will have to use crutches for 4-6 weeks. I don't know if she will need to stay with us but I did tell her if she needed a break she could come here or if she needed anything else like laundry to let me know.

Judith - have you had a lot of rain? I hope the weather report was over exaggerated in the amounts they said.

Susan - I should say the same thing to you about your weather. I am glad you are safe so far. It was good news to hear that you had a few tweaks on your hearing aids and you seem to be adjusting to them fine. Glenn and I had our hearing checked about a year ago and she said we had some loss but not enough to need aids yet. It does help to face a person as they are talking so we can hear and lip read at the same time.

Barb - How long ago did you have the twist in your colon that required some of your colon to be removed? Usually there are symptoms with that. I am glad that it was discovered by your fainting since you had no symptoms with it. Neglecting to care for this could have been very dangerous. I hope that your mouth ulcers heal and you can figure what is causing them. Stress has been linked to many different medical ailments. I hope that you were able to get Mariposa's jacket hood figured out and you do not have that stress now.

    Good Morning All

I couldn’t sleep so am here going on for 2:00am and thought I’d post and reply to Linda Susan and Barb’s post I didn’t do last night. I worked on all the threads but didn’t post here so will now.

Linda, to answer your query, sadly the rain is not over exaggerated as Barb’s sister lives in BC also and Barb said yesterday she has rain water coming in her basement who lives in Victoria BC the forecast says rain from Wednesday they to Saturday. Thankfully I haven’t had rain come into my home but my garden is saturated in water and the earth from garden is splarttered all over. The only reprieve I have had here was yesterday late afternoon around 4:00pm the rainfall slowed down and sunny skies came out but only short wee while. All night so far it’s raining. Today it’s back to mega rainfall. I am concerned as I am back to VGH again on Thursday and the travel might not be good along the freeways. Thank you for your prayers Linda. So Sorry about the gal’s boyfriend’s injury that has turned out to be a broken pelvis and had to have surgery. It’s so kind of you Linda letting the gal know that whatever she needed to call you. It will be a great help knowing you are there for her in whatever she may need.

Susan, glad you were encouraged in what I shared with you about your family research. You asked about our heavy rains, it has been bad but yesterday around 4:00pm we got a short reprieve with rains slowing and sunshine came out. It came back and been raining all night. We are back with it from Wednesday thru to Saturday. Sorry to here about your heavy rains picking up, and the report you could a years worth of rainfall in one week. Oh my, that’s some intimidating for sure. My prayers are with you and please be careful and stay safe my friend. I was happy to read that you were able to play your Ukulele with covering your arm in a gauze bandage. Hope the arm heals quickly. Continue to keep Colin in prayer. So happy your hearing appointment went well with the Audiologist did a few tweaks so the hearing aide fits better into your lifestyle. Glad all is well.

Barb, so sorry to hear your sister has water in her basement from all the heavy rainfall that is all over BC. Some low lying areas are having some flooding. Hope your sister didn’t loose anything or have any other damage from the flooding that came into the basement? I will keep your sister in prayer for her safety. Glad you enjoyed your Bible Study, the Book of Romans is such a great Book to study. Sorry about more mouth sores but glad to hear they are not hurting you. Have you found something or has your Doctor prescribed something that will help your mouth sores?

I am at the clinic at VGH on Thursday for the morning. Won’t leave there until Noon. Please pray for our safety on the roads as the rain may cause some flooding on the freeways and weather news said our temps were dropping to freezing so with the rainfall it is some concerning. See you all later today.
