    Hmmm. Yesterday I made an almost NINE bunny soup to be split between yesterday and today (logged into yesterday but then I logged my after walk after dinner into today!!🀯πŸ€ͺ)

    Not sure it is cost effective either. I will have to run some calculations. But definitely better caloric value than pre made, so there is that.

    Dumped a 750g bag of butternut squash stollen from the girl into the nuker for 8 minutes! Pureed it in the blender. Added 350g of 2% milk stollen from flat mate. (There might be a theme there!!!πŸ€ͺ)

    Added some mushroom broth from a tetrapack. Future tests planned with both an already open veg broth tetrapak and a beef pho tetrapak.

    Things got a bit dicey when I thickened it with potato starch!!!🀯 Added lemon pepper and garlic and onion powder!

    Future alchemical improvements to be devised on the fly!πŸ€ͺ

    Would go well with curry but it's sooooo obvious that I'm avoiding it as an initial option! 🀣

    Perhaps a real diced potato or two. A sweet potato might be good with the butternut squash?

    This is fun to read, PAV. I like that idea, Yooly :) Some texture in soup is good (I think) so some smalled potato/sweet potato would be nice. How about some red lentils???? They would pretty well disappear, thicken the soup, and add some protein? (calories too, I know)

    Yesterday = πŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡

    2 clementines, green soup, salad

    Had a friend stay over this weekend. Didn't too bad on the eating front - though she IS a bad influence :). She lived in BC, moved to Ontario last year and is driving back to live in BC in June. Her granddaughter is there and she just couldn't stay that far away. I'm pleased that I stayed on track - she was good too because she wants to lose weight - but that is hard when your life is a bit in the air.

    We went to see a movie yesterday and she was so relieved when I suggested we pick up our favourite chocolate bars to eat :) she thought she would have to avoid any "bad" foods because I was on a "diet". It was nice to be eating this more relaxed plan - I was still very much under the calories for the day - but too tired to worry about it last night. :)

    Not quite chocolate bunnies, but not too bad (I guess) :)

    I did manage to lock in 5 bunnies worth of California mix.

    But not sure if the tub of "venue" popcorn qualifies as any kind of bunny!!!!😑 At least I didn't add EXTRA butter!🀯

    Caloric balance.... OUCH πŸ€• 😳

    Found some beyond burgers in the freezer. They are far from terrible tasting. They are also 255 or so calories each (117g, not 113g). Not sure if they are actually bunnies but I do know they don't have actual animal content!πŸ˜›

    I added another 500 Cal worth of green giant expen$ive sides (cauli onion and root veggies). They are just over 8 bunnies for the 500 Cal. Add another 200 Cal of bread...

    So about 1200 Cal split into two good sized meals.

    Fluffed up with chocolate bunnies and maybe some yogurt to reach sufficient Calories is the plan.

    Part of the "choco" bunnies was a slice of "fig salami" someone brought with her. Dried figs and pistachios compressed in a dry salami shape. Quite good. Figs get another +1. Need to run into the fig truffles that were living in Costco last yearπŸ˜› better than the Cadbury eggs that have migrated near me 😑😑😑

    Meh- couldn’t get into the β€œbeyond” veggie meaty things. Calories being almost equal it wasn’t a great trade off considering the price per pound calculation.

    Now then, fig salami is a whole other story! Delish! Sadly the serving size is only about one ounce like good cheese.

    Well: price was zero πŸ˜› (sunk cost since it was sitting in my freezer! 🀣)

    Fig salami sounds wonderful! I imagine it is possible to keep it to small portions? Sounds really intense.
    I was so disappointed with the Beyond burgers - and they are EXPENSIVE! Here a box of 4 or 6 - I can't remember was $20. And I didn't like them. Youngest son did though so he at what I didn't (which is probably why I can't remember how many were in a box :)

    Yesterday = πŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡

    A bit salty. 12 in the box I had (4 when I reopened it) bought it on sale at superstore maybe 2+ years ago πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ didn't want to thaw in fridge so did the 0.25lb microwave thaw and then pan fried / crumbled them, combined with veggie+palouza. Not terrible from the taste point of view. Not anything gained other than "feels" maybe over just ground/minced meat.

    Today the last two were done with TEN (10) bunnies: string green beans (500g) and "root veggies" (359g)

    Veggie+palouza was supposed to be veggiepalouza!🀣 Don't know what Palooza is by itself!πŸ€ͺ Now that I already have my bunnies and beyond burgers logged.... how am i going to play with tuna bread????😑

    Looked up palouza - a middle eastern dessert. Didn’t think that would mix well with veggies! Thanks for the clarification.

    So the second half of the second batch of beyond burger and veggies was lunch (5+ bunnies) but for dinner I was surprised by a pizza delivery by the tenants' 23 yo daughter! Very very good very thin crust fior di latte,Β grana padano &Β prosciutto cotto pizza! Half the pie was 279g…. but the other "girl" got about 40g of crust out of the 279g Not a trace of veggie there…. well… tomato sauce (lots of it) I guess ;-) Logged it at 800 Cal (eeek!)

    West Coast bunnies on the run! Like maybe TWO, in a 24 hour period. And that's counting the after midnight apple bunny which i would normally count into Thursday instead of Friday! Maybe I'll find some post midnight bunnies once the baby girl and I come back from our walkies!

    I added too many bunnies (aka high fiber foods) too fast. My digestive system has been angry. Need to cut down the bunnies and then SLOWLY start adding them in again.

    I'm afraid I caused the same problem for my house guests this past week. My regular diet is not their regular diet. Many midnight noises and busy bathroom. 😝

    Not sure how to comment, PAV πŸ˜„ Pizza sounds delicious though.

    My Easter/two friend visit wrapped up last night with a birthday dinner for one friend at a third friends house :) It was amazing - lots of bunnies - roasted vegetables of every sort, and an appetizer of roasted cherry tomatoes on goats cheese…oh my…all so delicious.
