    Finished the Garmin Beat Yesterday challenges today and realized I don’t like paying that much attention to time when I walk 🙂

    Since I mentioned it above, I thought I’d share a picture of the udon noodle dish here — though it’s hard to see anything except the lion’s mane mushroom and the topping of scallions and roasted sesame seeds! I’ll share the recipe below since it’s not terribly high in calories. We used bok choy but you could substitute any hardy vegetables (e.g., cabbage, broccoli)

    @cre804 Sounds like a good adventure. Since you're going to take your time, I suggest stopping at pull-over vistas along the way, and spend a few minutes walking around, stretching, touching your toes, and doing some squats (to get the blood circulating).

    @jessicakrall8 that's good news I hope you can get more pain free days in the future @cre804 enjoy your trip & a great NSV. @nancyinmiami love the photo of Miami.New York is the only city I've visited in the States.I was there for a week in October 2012 I loved it.My sister & brother in law are returning to England this Friday.My hubby & I have another week on our own on Paros.Then a boat trip to Mykonos & 1 night stay before flying home.I will follow Dr @frankwbrown 's advice on my trip home 🤣

    🔖Notes: ~ finding it difficult to stay engaged while reading the first book in our new book club. Gonna try again in a moment. Daniel left and all my “bravado” left with him.. I had to look that up to make sure it fit my sentence lol! It DOES!  I was subconsciously doing it but still..  while he was here I was way more in tune with healthy eating and working out. Trying to show off, in a way. I just really wanted him to think it was easy so he can continue when he left. I worry about him now… he had to go back home to his mom, and she really is a piece of work! Him being fresh out of rehab, she is already back to her old ways.. drinking all night to the point where she tries to pick fights with him. Ugh.. hopefully he can stay on track. 😬

    @Krysless2 - It’s hard to watch the people we love face challenging situations, especially young people still building their skills. I’m sure you will continue to make a positive difference in Daniel’s life by modeling healthy coping strategies like exercise and good nutrition. Our lives are made up of these brief but important moments. Hang in there!
