Information I found about flavors of honey - natural flavors that come from the source flowers are acacia, buckwheat, clover, eucalyptus, Himalayan balsam, orange blossom, sage, tupelo and wildflower. Honey with additive flavors - lemon, turmeric, and cinnamon.

I was never good at flying kites but I love to watch someone else fly them. I once lost a kite when the center "stick" got caught in the branches of a tree.

The memory of kites takes me back to the time when we were travelling a lot and saw many different kinds of kites, especially Whistling Kites. They are captors who circle in the skies looking for prey and are very curious birds.

I have never heard of Whistling Kites. At first I thought the actual kite was whistling with the wind blowing but I quickly realized that you were talking about birds. What kind of food do they eat? Mice, birds, fish, or a "snake"?

Susan, I have so many memories of Flying Kites with my Grandparents, we flew many kinds of Kites but hadn’t heard of the Whistling Kites, and like Linda soon realized these Kites you spoke about were Birds, never heard of those types before and Linda I too wonder what kind of food they eat, wonder if they eat Snake? Maybe the Birds “Sneak” up on their prey and snatch it up for a Feast?

Whistling Kites are raptors or hawks. They love catching and eating live prey. All of the animals you suggested yesterday are on their menu. They love to snack on snakes.

Here's a picture of a Whistling Kite. They do have a distinct whistling call. I love to mimic them.

I am glad I am not a whistling kite or any other bird that eats meat. My idea of a snack is a bowl with a "stack" of fruit fresh from the tree or bush.

Susan, whistling Kites are a beautiful bird, but it gives me the Willie’s just thinking about feasting on snakes and other live animals! Yes I am with you Linda I too would love a Stack of fresh fruit. Yum yum! Yes I would get sharp Tacks to put the fruit together to have a nice feast as I slide the fruit off the tacks one by one!

Nature can be cruel and I feel for the live animals caught by the kite, but I could not join you in eating your piles of fruit. My body lacks the ability to process much Fructose, so I would choose a nice hard cheese and some rice crackers instead.

Susan - we do not want you left out of our feast so your "hacks" at changing things is acceptable. What ever works for you works for us.

Thanks Linda, reusable Sacks would be great to put our Snacks in and I agree Susan the Sacks make great Packs for our Snacks. We can use the Racks Mr Green Jeans has to hang up all our Sacks for easy access!

Mind the rocks as we set up the racks, girls.

Yes the rocks can cause us and our animals to loose our balance quickly and cause a fall. A human might break their ankles and an animal might break their "hocks".

yes thanks for the heads up Susan about the Rocks; and yes Linda, we don’t want the animals to break their Hocks! Perhaps if our animals wore Knee high Socks on their hind legs they might be protected from Hocks!

I see some dock weeds among the rocks. May the socks protect the hocks from the rocks and the docks!

Yes Susan I too see the Dock Weeds and sure hope the Socks protect the Hocks from the Rocks and Docks. Maybe we will need to get “Locks” on chains to wrap around the Rocks & Docks so the Socks protect the Hocks!

We used to eat dock weeds for vegetables like spinach. We had to make sure it was curly dock though because the regular dock would cause diarrhea. Maybe if there were a rooster around he could *kitten*-a-doodle to warn people about eating the wrong dock. The "*kitten*" would be the warning system for food and the locks would be he warning about the rocks.

I think I know what you mean, Linda. Lol! It would be a shock to some to write out that other rooster name!

Yes it sure would be a Shock Susan so we don’t want any issues with anymore complaints so we find more Cops on our Doorstep. And a Rooster can be very noisy, so we will buy some treats but not too many so we are not in a state of “Hocks” Owing to the Store!

I did not realize that MFP would not let me say the name of a rooster. My mind did not go that direction when I wrote it. Pardon my language if you were offended by the word.

We do not want to be owing money to anyone. Are there any corn fields around? I can "shuck" some ears of corn to make some money for us if necessary.

Too funny that MFP thinks a certain name for a rooster is too rude! 😂 I am not offended, Linda. I think some of the politically correct things are too much. We should chuck them out.

I agree! MFP seems to focus on inappropriate words and not on properly working threads so we do not loose our information so often. Does it like the word for a baby rooster - a "chick"?

    CHICK

Yay, apparently so MFP let you type “Chick”and Susan I agree, I’m with you to “Chuck”out the Politically Correct things that are getting so out of hand! Yes we need to “Hucks” the words out of our vocabulary!

Glad you were allowed to type chicks, Linda. I guess one good thing banning certain words does, is to make us chick hicks think of different words to use !
