Carb cycling
Hello, how do you carb cycle in simple terms 😂
Currently keto, need some advice/feedback
Hello all! I am currently keto since January and I have made some progress. Down 15 pounds (major stall when I got hit with the flu). I have been trying to read on carb cycling and it's benefits for weight loss. I am insulin resistant, so keto has been beneficial in maintaining sugar levels. I don't shake like I use to and…
I'm a newbie, need some advice
How do you figure your macros? Is there a certain site you use? I have been researching the carb cycle method, and know the basics of how it works, just need to decide the exact carb amounts for me. Hope that makes sense?
lets get this going
I would love to get this group going again. Doesn't look like there has been much activity in a while. I am new to Carb Cycling and loving it. Down 5.2 pounds my first week. Love the flexibility. Still have my struggles though and would love to bounce ideas off of people.
Recipe ideas
For my high carb days. Low carb seems much easier for me. Perhaps b/c I've been GF for nearly 6 years and there are lots of foods I've already ditched. Any good recipe sources or swaps focused on quality high carb days? I follow a Low, Low, Mod, High, Low, Low, High schedule and use the tools in MFP to set up my days each…
Meal Plan
I was wondering if anyone had a weekly meal plan for carb cycling for a vegetarian? I’ve tried scouting the internet but can’t find anything!
Carb Meal Plan
For someone that has been doing low carb/ keto for quite a while what would be a good amount of carbs To cycle with? When you’re used to under 20 g daily
Snacks
This may sound dumb but I can put my meals together pretty well whether it is a high carb or low carb day. However, I have trouble with snacks. Any easy low carb and high carb snack ideas? Depending on the type of day my gotos seem to always be Greek yogurt, almonds, boiled eggs. Looking for other suggestions. Thanks!
12 hr rotating shifts carb cycling help needed
I just bought Chris Powell's Carb cycle book and I am just about to start. I am a registered nurse who works in a busy ICU 12 hour shifts 2 day shifts and then 2 night shifts then I am off for 5 days. On the day I am transitioning to a night shift I wake up early (0700) and then nap from 1400-1800 then I work until 7am. So…
