Well, unlike what the others have said, I too lost about five pounds when I got the flu and I have kept it off for two weeks. I am just staying in my calorie range and doing low impact exercises, as I'm still not feeling 100%. I am sorry to hear you're sick and I do hope for a speedy and full recovery!

I keep raw almonds in my desk....as a rule about 28 is 1/4 cup, 14 is an 1/8 of a cup. Helps me not to over eat.

I'm 5'5" and started at your weight, sedentary 1220 per day to lose a pound per week. So, I'm not sure how your calculations came up with 9 years. It should take around a year?

I hit a "plateau" for 10 months-which is kind of good because it meant I was maintaining a 25 pound weight loss but still wasn't at my goal. 33 5'4" 1 pound away from first goal and 14 away from second goal. Add me if you'd like. I've lost 42 pounds. 1220 calories per day and eating back my work out of 200-400 per day.

I only log in front of people that understand my journey or are on my journey. Other than that, I make it a private issue. Log prior to seeing them, in the bathroom, whatever. If it's not a part of our lives we share, I don't find the need to invite them into it, especially if they don't understand.
