I would much rather get the gigantic portion sizes, because the cost of labor involved means the price does not decrease equally with the amount of food given. It is very much "not getting your moneys worth". Just because you are given gigantic portions does not mean you need to eat that much in one sitting. I would gladly…

You can also get almond meal/ almond flour out of the process. Its such a PITA to make home made, but I don't see why it would matter on an industrial scale. Considering how popular almond milk is i'm surprised how hard it is to find almost flour.

I buy unsweetened, but then add an artificial sweetener like stevia.

The low carber forums have posted at least 2 of these, a bacon challenge and ground beef challenge. When the before and after numbers were compared, there did seem to be a health benefit. Although I would say those would be more from the weight lost, since I assume these people were already on a ketogenic diet beforehand.

I signed up for a trainer at one point and while it great motivation and pushed me to work harder. It was sub par information. Personally I wouldn't recommend it unless you really have the money to spend AND no one to train with. I agree with the suggestion of doing abs at the end of each workout, just something small like…

In my location? Everyone. But personally I don't go there. IIRC the franchise restricts how many locations can be within a certain area/ how close they can be to each other. What this causes around my area is nearly constant out the door and around the building lines. How safe can the food handling really be when the…

Not really what you were looking for, but try adding it into eggs. Tastes awesome.

Mine occasionally has syncing issues and will multiply any adjustments it makes. Overall I tend to ignore them.

Hmmm... I wasn't familiar with this drug so after a quick google search it appears to be a controlled prescription needed substance. Are all these people saying not to take it and that it doesn't work going against the advice of OP's doctor then?

“Maintenance of a 10% or greater reduction in body weight in lean or obese individuals is accompanied by an approximate 20%-25% decline in 24-hour energy expenditure. This decrease in weight maintenance calories is 10–15% below what is predicted solely on the basis of alterations in fat and lean mass. Thus, a formerly…

Keto helps most people, and especially obese people with hunger while in a calorie deficit, but the only reason the weight loss is so rapid on keto is because of the loss of water weight and glycogen. That's also why its extra important to drink enough water and possibly supplement things like sodium/potassium/magnesium.…

If they mentioned those but didn't mention a carb limit, I wonder if they just want you on foods with a lower glycemic index? Anyways, cauliflower can make a good rice/mashed potatoes substitute. Ricing it it pretty much just running it through a food processor. To mash it, cut or break up the florets and rapidly boil…

Pork rinds are by far the easiest sub for chips, but I haven't found a way to make them palatable other than dipping them in something that isn't low carb. Also you can still have chocolate if you get extra dark, i'd aim for 80%+.

I have used an eat-stop-eat method of fasting to get a grasp on hunger vs mindless eating. Once or twice a week I would eat little to nothing, probably <=800 cals. It suuuucked, but the other 5-6 days of the week when I wanted to snack I would be able to think "okay, am I actually hungry, or do I want to eat for another…

Something to elevate your heart rate while doing a non or only very lightly strenuous version of the exercise you are warming up for and/or something to take you through the range of motion for said exercise.

That seems more along the lines of PSMF? Either way threads like these are why I Love/hate the MFP forums. People here love to speak in absolutes any will deny till they are blue that any exceptions exist until the magical D word is mentioned. Be it Keto, VLCD/PSMF, or appetite suppressants. I also find it interested this…

Got the fitbit charge HR and am a little disappointed with it. The advertised battery life is with most of the constant monitoring features turned off/set to manual like the HR tracking and bluetooth sync, but it does what I need it to do.

So is counting calories and macros, yet here we are on a forum for an app that does just that.

Went from about 360 to 280 on keto, but don't think I could maintain it as a lifestyle. My experience is the there are no convenience foods, and where I live it is near impossible to eat out, so it also hurt my social life. Granted those 2 reasons are probably a big part of why I lost so much with it.

Veggies get a bad rap from parental cooking. Moms, stop trying to make everything healthy! You gotta learn to like veggies like many people learn to like coffee. Buy the good stuff (fresh) and load it up with fats and/or sugars, then work on cutting back on the amount of fast/sugars you use. Because they are so light by…

Green coffee extract is just for caffeine, and caffeine will help weight loss. But there are probably better ways to supplement it.

I did keto for awhile, its great for weight loss because of the satiation, but I couldn't recommend it as a lifestyle. I need convenience and social foods in my life, and keto has very little leeway for that. On top of that, it can hinder strength training unless you do something like CKD or TKD.

Except trans-fats, even sat-fat loving low carbers say to stay away from it.

Do you have any unconventional uses for turmeric? For example I put it on my eggs for breakfast. And is that expensive pink salt REALLY that much better than the white stuff?
-
Because all special dieters like low carb and paleo think their way of eating excludes CICO, right? Not possible they eat a certain way because of satiation, or how their body responds to certain macros.

So far its MTS, I've tried the no bake cookie and red velvet. I think next time I will try ON.

Don't worry too much about weight fluctuations, but check your weekly calories to see if your cheat meals are out of control. A few days before the end of the competition go super low carb and you will lose a lot of water weight. It will come back when you eat carbs again, but it might be the little bump you need to win!

I've never tried butter, because I don't buy unsalted butter. But I have tried oil and it is delicious. Never heard it would help me lose weight.
