Fail... I managed to drink water; but snacked on some dried cherries and pecans. It was not that bad; but really trying to kick this late night snacking thing when I'm really not hungry. Today... drink more water and no late night snacking!

Just joined the "no late night snacking challenge' so that's my goal today along with drinking the large glass of water on my desk before I leave @ 5PM!

Like this challenge; I've a hard time distinguishing between being sleepy and being hungry... (I know it sounds silly) but instead of going to bed like a normal person - I stay up with my hubby and the later it gets the more likely I am to wonder into the kitchen... Aug 4 day 1.

Excellent progress clearlydivine... keep focused!

I recently hit maintenance mode 53 yo; 5'2" 121.9 (today). I'm sure there are some on here that are a lot smarter than me and will give you far better advice; however no one knows you better than you is my golden rule. Do what feels great and what you think you can sustain. My calorie goal is really low - some days I hit…

I recently hit goal and know that the only way to maintain to be mindful... will send request so I can be surrounded by other mindful maintainers (it's a lifestyle). FYI 53 yo; lost 45lbs

I believe I was in this situation before joining MFP... I ate healthy and worked out regularly; but struggled to lose 20 lbs to my goal. That was me in October 2014. Step #1 joined my MFP #2 purchased scale #3 logged everything I consumed #4 logged exercise. The scale made me realize I under estimated my weight - needed to…

What is up with ticker.... 5 more run days in July - goal = 140 @ 137. I can honestly say this challenge has me running more miles in July than anticipated, increased my longest run on weekends from 8 to 10 and the cherry on top I'M FEELING GREAT!!!! Happy running ALL!

Same issue... ran 4 last night total = 117(8 more run days remaining).

I do not plan a cheat day, I just don't get the concept of pre-planning a day to cheat. My journey has been a lifestyle change - healthy eating habits <CICO> something physical everyday; if there is a breakdown in there for whatever reason - I keep it moving and get back on track. If I planned for it -I would spiral out of…

Podrunner - you can find on itunes (podcast)... music specifically for running. No matter my mood or physical being (tired, exhausted or fatigue) I know in 5 minutes I will be in a zone. You can download anywhere from 125 - 180 bpm episodes. http://www.djsteveboy.com/mixes.html

I like to keep it simple... Krazy salt and Krazy lime pepper (Krazy is the brand name) similar to Dash brand that is more nationally known. I'll squeeze a little lemon or lime (or both) and drizzle with grapeseed oil.

I use to think the exact same thing and you can lump in co-workers, friends and family... all saboteurs! Then I realize it was not about them and not about what they were doing - it was about ME! Me making my own choices, there will always be obstacles - some obvious and some not so obvious - eventually you chose how to…

Hi I'm Karen, I've been running for 20+ years and although I've been known to take break - I love to run. Recently lost several pounds and have increased my endurance, speed and general enjoyment of running. In an effort to stay motivated through the dog, hot, humid days of summer (not to mention vacation and all the fun…

OK, I'm in for 140, now let me see if I can get that ticker up and running (pun intended).

Addicted to the "high"... that anxious feeling on a day I'm running 8 miles, the calm once I hit that 1 mile mark and nothing but the rhythm of my breath and shoes hitting the pavement and that strong, confident feeling at the end.

I shoot for every day and go weeks before I miss a day. I'm sure some will say you need a rest day - I follow my own rules and do what works for me. That being said, there are days where I might do the elliptical for 60 minutes and nothing else or a day like yesterday (because I have the time) where I run 10 miles, 25…

Body glide works wonders for any area of chafing. Best thing to run in for me is a running skirt (or tennis skirt). #skirtrunner

I actually like getting my sweat on! So I'm always pretty motivated to workout; but on those occasions when I'd rather be doing anything else but - I tell myself just walk and I always end up running or just go to the gym and 5 minutes in with some good music I'm pumped and I can get a good training day in. Since doing MFP…
