  • I encourage everyone to take photos and Measurements! Its often hard for us to see the diff in the mirror but seeing the #'s shrink lets us know its working. Keep up the good work
  • Four years ago I went from 190 to 140, but when I had a health scare and going back to work I stopped exercising and slowly my eating has gotten out of control! I'm back up to 158 and my "fat" pants are fitting :( I have to will power anymore and am struggling hard core. I'm in need of support to stick with it. Here's…
  • My son has custom insoles for flat feet, custom are expensive but offer way better support and alignment then otc.
  • Not sure if I'm more impressed with your awesome progress or the fact that you trail run with bare feet!
  • I first started exercising for a pe credit for my degree. I was slowly losing weight, but it wasn't until wk 3 wheb the instructor pointed us to myfitnesspal for the wks assignment that I put 2 and 2 together. Diet With exercise propelled me into my wright loss journey where i lost 50 lbs!
  • I didn't take pictures but I lost 50lbs ONLY doing at home body weight HIIT workouts and walking, along with portion control. It can be done.
  • My teenage son has this. He has flat feet so not sure if that caused it or not. Anyway his Dr prescribed stretches. His Achilles has become shortened and tight, causing him to walk/run diff to compensate. So he needs to stretch it out. 30 sec stretch, 20 sec rest, repeat at least 5x. Then ice. He said it can take a bit to…
  • The key for steel cut is cook for 15 mins then let it sit for 10 mins. It continues to cook and absorb the liquid in the 10 mins. And while this may not be quicker than stove top there's no need to babysit the pot. I typically go shower and then oats are ready when I am.
  • It is a exercise video subscription. I'd like to hear more about available videos from OP. I'm thinking of using beach body on demand, but I believe daily burn is cheaper, just haven't researches yet what is available.
  • yes and no, I loved how I looked in clothes but out of them I was too skinny up top. I'm a pear shape, and lost more from my top than my bottom. I've since gained about 10 lbs and am wanting to tone with weightlifting vs dieting. I think if I can do that I'll like the final results better
  • I'm holding at 150, would like to get BACK down to 140 so that all my new expensive jeans would fit again! is get there faster if I was still exercising but the lazy bug bite me and it's been a struggle. I saw get to 150 or whatever makes you happy. you can always go lower or back up once you're there and depending on how…
  • usually no need to cut, I put mine in whole in the instant pot.
  • I work at an elementary school and currently 90% of the staff is doing Low carb. they are very restrictive on their diets. You Need carbs for energy and the idea that fat is "better" for you than healthy carbs from whole wheat and fruit boggles my mind. Moderation is KEY with everything, carbs included.
  • beware of the sodium amounts even in a low sodium varity
  • I recently took a nutrition class and what I learned if when you are eating a variety of fruits and veggies you don't need a multi vitamin! with many vitamins it's easy to reach the Max rec dose if eating healthy along with a daily vitamin. And yes, 1 day of highs won't cause harm, but doing this on a reg basis can
  • My stats are the same as yours, SW 192 and currently at 152! keep up the hard work, I'm finding it's harder for me to maintain than it was to loose.
  • I love fruits in my salads, grapes strawberries, raisins, cranberries are all really good. a handful of seeds/nuts is good for crunch. tuna or salmon is good. spicy things too, banana peppers
  • leggings! lol But seriously, leggings
  • IF the settings are correct then I'd follow that calorie goal. I say if, because if you've estimated your activity level too low with an aggressive weight loss goal then Mfp will give too low of a calorie range. But 1700 is a good #, it's what I started with when I joined.
  • fitting BACK into my jeans. I've been slacking batdcoreover the summer and 14lbs has crept back on, so for now it's all about shaving off at least 10 to fit back into my expensive jeans!
  • I did a Spartan race this yr, my first. old shoes work fine as long as they have good grip. lace up tight to keep them on and you should be good to go. ditto the long sock idea. sure wished I'd had them. also possi ly the arm "socks" not sure of the name. gloves can come in handy for somethings. I saw plenty of ppl wearing…
  • I was 192 when I started, lowest I got was 142! size 16 down to 3/4- size 7 depending on clothes. I'm 6' with wide hips thighs so it CAN happen. I've been slacking and put on 10lbs, I need to get back on it!!
  • modify, modify, modify! it's not great at showing modifications, so I just did what I could. for instance a steady squat in place of the jump squat. eventually I was able to add some jump squats, then go back to modifying as needed. it is tough but doable. I'd suggest additional stretch warm up before and after as I think…
  • If you're just intolerant, I'd say within a wk or 2. If not then it could be something else also bothering your stomach. If it's everyday u feel this way, look back at your diary to try to find a correlation to a single food. Are you watching labels for other dairy names? I didn't realize that dairy was in my non dairy…
  • I don't know my #'s but blood pressure has been "good", they've never said anything about being low when at apt. For me I get up, walk across my house (15ft or so) and then it hits me. It's not always an immediate lightheaded feeling. And I told dr that when he tested my sitting, lying and standing BP which were all fine.…
  • How did you determine your blood pressure? Curious as I have this exact issue but dr never take me serious when I question them for answers.
  • This is me! It's gotten really bad in the last 2 yrs, the only way I keep from fainting is bending over. My dr suggested adding salt back into diet, which I have but it hasn't helped. When I press for more tests/answers he never pursues it. 1 of the reasons why I'm looking for new Dr. Curious as how original poster…
